First Quarter Moon

I have been dreaming of major Earth shifts again last week. I saw the equivalent of another Mount St. Helens going off and watched contortions in what some call ‘Earth grid’ electrical shifts and activations. These kinds of events, if they occur, will also greatly influence and interfere with the electrical grids within our bodies, causing anxiety and unexplainable emotional outbursts, or strange body symptoms that suddenly appear then disappear. Given the magnitude of the astrological historical cycles of completion we are living through until 2020 (I will be writing about those in greater depth soon), life will continue to be rife with uncertainty, yet also full of catalytic opportunities that will ensure you are living the life you came to live, sharing the gifts you bring to a world in need. Under these pressures, many might become more fearful, more sleepy and zombie-like in their actions, while others will become more energized, hoping to further engage and be an agent for positive change in these revolutionary times. What will your choice be?
As you know, I write my posts according to the Lunar cycles. For the next few weeks, the Lunar calendar lines up with the Gregorian calendar, which means Mondays will mark the turning point of each week. This week, as we head into the action quarter of this current SolLunar cycle, you may begin to experience some earthquakes and activations in your own body/mind/spirit grid, especially with the extremely significant Ceres/Neptune conjunction. Neptune is often linked to our higher aspirations and spiritual goals. Ceres, defined now as a dwarf planet, rules environmental and food issues and awakens our nurturing natures. May you, with joy, commit to healthy self-nurturing and participation in social changes movements that further the care and feeding of all Beings and our exquisite jewel of a planet, Earth.

Here’s a list of the First Quarter Moon characteristics compliments of my friend/sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza ~ www.lunarplanner.com
“The First Quarter Moon of each lunar cycle draws an external stimulus to initiate action as we move from the inspirational quarter of the lunar cycle into the action quarter. Now is the time to drop all hesitation and take the steps to move forth on what you were inspired about…. it is time to now participate in trust and knowing. Trust in the process. Demonstrate this trust in physical action and you will be supported. This time is stressful or traumatic only if action is ignored. Simply, this phase is a time to work.”

Note: I write my posts according to the Lunar cycles, posting on the New, First Quarter, Full and Third Quarter Moons. If you work with and within the natural flow of time and supportive cosmic energy, your life can flow with more ease and grace. I base my interpretations and predictions on the true sidereal astronomical alignments. Mon February 15
First Quarter Moon: Our Sun is currently transiting through futuristic, community-minded Aquarius. Today the Moon is 90 degrees away from the Sun, forming a waxing square in earthy Taurus. On the political stage, this aspect will increase financial contributions for some candidates or shift support away from others. It’s a good day to examine your finances, evaluating spending or saving habits, as you consider future plans and goals you have for the upcoming year. A nice long walk today with a friend can provide stable ground in uncertain times.
Moon in Taurus square Ceres/Neptune in Aquarius: Dreaming of creating something new, but unsure about the financial requirements to make it happen? This aspect encourages you to overcome fears surrounding money and abundance, if that’s an issue for you, so you can and will make your creative idea happen.
Tue February 16
Moon in Taurus triggers Jupiter/Saturn: This aspect will take place once a month for the coming months. As Jupiter and Saturn govern our social and political partnerships, this might be a day we see a ‘quakening’ in those areanas (earthquake+awakening=quakening). Taurus is both extremely stubborn, and also, very determined. So plough on today!
Wed February 17
Sun in Aquarius trine Moon in Gemini: As both orbs are in Air signs, the astrological element that rules relationships and all arenas of communication, this day is quite gregarious, social, friendly, helpful. You might find yourself in the right place at the right time to lend or receive a helping hand. Take time to visit a bookstore, make a space for reading and explore your latest trend of curiosity, Gemini’s gift. Gratefully, feel a lighter mood today.
Thu February 18
Moon in Gemini trine Neptune/Ceres conjunction: The investigative, infinitely curious Gemini Moon makes a helpful trine to the almost exact Neptune/Ceres conjunction, an alignment that calls forth spiritual awakening and compassion to many earthlings at this time in history. You might discover the next great book or course of study to assist you on your path. Upgrade your social media, or if you blog, consider how you can be more experimental in your posts. Pencil or pen your prayers on paper, as Gemini loves to journal, or psychologize with friends about current issues, helping each other discern the difference between the delusion or truth of a situation.
Moon in Gemini opposite Pluto square Uranus: This aspect can spark either/or, black/white thinking, further increasing polarities amidst parties. However, as the Moon is in the latter part of Gemini, associated with being a liaison or diplomat, negotiation is possible, if that is what you seek.
Fri February 19
Moon in Cancer opposite Venus in Capricorn: The Moon in Cancer often seems to mirror the desire to be more of a home-body and to keep our social engagements small or happening within the home. Venus in Capricorn is more about feeling one’s social obligations and responsibilities. The opposition today can create a feeling of being tugged in both directions. We get to make our own rules of social protocol, so follow the dictates of your heart and personal life circumstance, and choose what is best for you.
Mars enters sidereal Scorpio: This several month shift of the Mars (planetary ruler of activism, will, passion) into Scorpio (sign of depth, death and taxes) calls forth the need for greater intimacy, re-evaluation of joint financial goals, fierce dedication to the causes you care about. Expect an increase in epic political drama and intrigue. It’s about to get even crazier in our 2016 election field.
Sat February 20
Moon in Cancer opposite Mercury in Capricorn: Whenever Moon and Mercury oppose one another, a stand-off between head and heart can manifest, or a more honest dialogue can occur between the two, creating an even keel between our emotions and thoughts. This tension might play itself out in your relationships as well. It’s an excellent day to negotiate with your contractors, builders, or focus on home improvements/budgets.
Sun February 21
Moon in Leo square Mars in Scorpio: Much of today, the Moon is still transiting moody Cancer, happy to stay close to home or spend time with family members, especially your elders. In the evening hours, the Moon shifts into creative Leo and makes a quick square to Mars, sparking intense conversations or a possible surge of creativity at the day’s end. Tomorrow morning’s Full Moon might make for an un-restful night of sleep. With the influence of Leo, you might be drawn to dance and drum under the almost Full Moon tonight!
