Winter Solstice

Our true New Year arrives this week. It is this moment when our life giving Sun returns from it’s long journey south. Winter Solstice is at 9:48 pm MST in our Northern Hemisphere.
Also this week, we experience the First Quarter Moon of this Lunar cycle which marks a time to take action, to set new plans in motion.
I would like highlight the shift Mars is making this week. Here’s my December 23 post:
Mars departs Virgo and enters Libra: Mars governs where we focus our passion, energy, our activism. As Mars leaves solution-oriented Virgo, the world is in a better place. Bows and kudos and unending gratitude for all those who worked on behalf of the recent COP21 climate conference in Paris, France. Many have worked hard, on many levels, to ensure a healthier future is in the works for all our humanity and beloved Earthly home. This event marks a major positive turning point for Earth’s health, and so ours, as a human species. There is still even more challenging work ahead. For now, THANK YOU.

It might be time to have a conversation between your head and your heart, possibly leading to sudden directional shifts. The stunning aspect of this particular First Quarter Moon is that the Sun is also squaring the Lunar Nodes, points which govern our past achievements and our future desires. Mercury/Pluto conjunction in Sagittarius: This annual alignment manifests as laser-focused thoughts and mental obsessiveness, and also spawns inflammatory rhetoric and dogmatic thinking. Such is the nature of our political discourse at this time. Things heat up today.

See and feel your Light. You, with your many gifts, loving heart and infinite creative spirit are greatly needed on Earth at this time of shift. May you commit to shining brighter in the coming year.
