Full Moon in Libra/Aries

Just as I was about to post, the passing of legendary artist, Prince, was announced. I have mentioned in previous posts that 2016 will see the transitions of many of our greatest creative talents as Jupiter is transiting Leo, the sign of art, creativity, theatre. May you rest in peace, Prince, and thank you for your pioneering musical gift and ground-breaking individuality.
The Full Moon in sidereal Libra highlights the need for better communication and negotiation in key relationships. You may also be exceedingly social in the coming week. Also, Mercury goes retrograde for the second time this year. This transit won’t be as troubling as what I call this past January’s “Mercury retrograde from hell”, which reamed out our minds/thoughts/beliefs and left us doubting our sanity at times. This time, our mental focus can be very sharp and clear, especially if you did the necessary mind-cleaning in January.
The picture this week is of the heart-shaped sunspot that recently erupted on our Sun. (Note the little Earth in the corner, illustrating the size of this huge sunspot.) Remarkable, isn’t it?

Moon/Juno conjunction in Libra: This very relational connection calls forth a desire for harmony and cooperation. But remember, with the Sun still in independent Aries, make sure you aren’t sacrificing your needs simply to make a false peace with someone else.

Sun in Aries quincunx Moon in Scorpio: Both Aries and Scorpio are signs linked to willfulness and a desire to be in charge. Aries is about self-control and Scorpio can be about controlling another. Power plays and sharp discourse may arise today.
Moon/Mars conjunction is Scorpio: The pressure-cooker of this aspect is building all day and becomes exact around midnight. Conflicts may erupt, but you can also confront roadblocks and move forward. You can use the forceful directness, energy, and drive of this aspect to get a whole lot done today.

Mercury in Aries turns retrograde: From today, until May 22, Mercury (ideas, technology, communication) will be in more internal, re-evaluation, reflection mode. During this period, Mercury will be in close proximity to the asteroid of focus and dedication,Vesta. Watch your thoughts carefully, as manifestation will be almost instantaneous, based on your state of both conscious and unconscious mind and intentions. This the perfect time to take up meditation practice or deepen your current practice. Dive in to a new study or give birth to a brand new creative urge. Commit to writing that first draft of a manuscript, or complete the final edits on something that is ready to be completed.
