Welcome to the New SolLunar Cycle in sidereal Pisces! This emotionally sensitive and intuitive New Moon takes place in sidereal Pisces. You might feel tired, exhausted, sore, not full of the usual pep a New Moon brings. But Pisces calls forth your creative side, your inner dreamer. Pisces manifests as cleansing tears or pushes you to embark on a release of your past, possibly leading to a desire for physical cleansing. Release feelings of victimization if they arise and work toward finding acceptance about where you currently find yourself. All the challenges. The many gifts. Simply Being (Pisces preferred state) in acceptance of the present moment will help you create a better future going forward. On April 15, when the Sun enters Aries, expect a more energetic YOU to emerge as you leave this necessary and fertile cocoon.
April brings a potent creative surge for all of 2019. We also have three major planets turning retrograde: Jupiter on April 10, Pluto on April 24 and Saturn on April 29 (see interpretations below). Don’t fear the retrogrades! They always help you reorganize the details of your life and relationships to better suit your current desires and dreams that are calling to you next. They are wonderful for learning new skills, creating greater health, completing projects.
I am once again posting my photos from my spring break, celebrating my birthday walking the sacred Earth at the Grand Canyon. My new year begins!
READINGS, MINI-READINGS AND MENTORING: Thanks for considering a sidereal mini-reading with me for $44 or a bit longer reading for $88, the numbers of living your Mastery on Earth. In these short readings, I discuss key personal transits that are happening for you in 2019 and beyond. I also MENTOR students individually or in groups/workshops who want to learn more about how to work with sidereal astrology in their own chart or with their clients. Send me an email if you are interested in those options, or a full Natal Map or Update. Thank you!
My interpretations and predictions are based on the sidereal astronomical alignments. You can read about my unique way of interpreting astrology at this link: EarthWord SkyWord sidereal readings. Even NASA is onboard now with the sidereal zodiac! In my daily posts, I include the astrological aspects for students of astrology, then give a basic interpretation of how these forces might influence your daily life. As you work with and within the natural flow of time and the supportive cosmic energies that each unique SolLunar Cycle brings, life can and will flow with more ease, grace and understanding.

New SolLunar Cycle in Sidereal Pisces
Here is a list of New Moon characteristics compliments of my friend/sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza from LunarPlanner:
“Beginning the Sprouting Phase of the Lunar Cycle, a new theme emerges, a new idea or concept sprouts forth. This is an inner message, an impulse expressing from a field of all possibilities deep within the unconscious mind. The New Moon is a perfect time for meditation or a quite walk—to go within self and listen.”
Fri April 5

Sat April 6
Moon/Uranus conjunction in Aries: Nipping at the heels of yesterday’s watery Moon, this sharp, exciting, impulsive alignment supports a momentary uplift and return of energy or forward momentum. Uranus often pressures us to leap into the void with faith, simply because it does not like to feel trapped or bored. Be bold and adventurous today!

Tue April 9
Venus/Neptune conjunction in Aquarius: Lovely and loving is this annual conjunction of artistic, ethical, beauty-loving Venus with Neptune, considered to be the higher octave of Venus, amplifying the beneficent gifts this pairing brings. They meet up in humanitarian, futuristic Aquarius bathing our Earth with rays of compassion and visionary solutions to existing problems. Mediate alone or connect with others and feel this cosmic inspiration and holy oneness.

Jupiter in sidereal Scorpio turns retrograde: This big day arrives as our largest planet turns retrograde until August 11. By now, certain events have been set in motion, both in the political arena especially, involving the right use of power, Scorpio’s terrain, or within yourself in terms of things you have started planning for the year ahead. This retrograde period is good for researching options, getting up to speed about a subject, getting in shape for an upcoming adventure, or diving fully into the completion of a project such as completing a manuscript or finishing a remodel. I’ll be writing more about this extraordinary and historic transit in the months to come. Stay tuned!
Sun in Pisces square Saturn in Sagittarius: This hard-edge square often makes for a day of decision-making or facing an uncomfortable reality. You might feel restricted or limited in some way. Don’t expect to feel giddy with joy, but claim your more serious, determined side to push through challenges.
Moon/Juno conjunction in Gemini: Great day for connecting with your siblings (Gemini’s domain) or going for a run with a colleague or friend. Someone might recommend the perfect book for you to read next or you might join a book club.
Thu April 11
Sun in Pisces squares Lunar Nodes: You might notice an internal turning away from a situation or toward a new one. Trust your intuition, Pisces’s gift.
First Quarter Moon
Here’s a list of the First Quarter Moon characteristics compliments of my friend/sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza ~ www.lunarplanner.com
“The First Quarter Moon of each lunar cycle draws an external stimulus to initiate action as we move from the inspirational quarter of the lunar cycle into the action quarter. Now is the time to drop all hesitation and take the steps. Trust in the process. This time is stressful or traumatic only if action is ignored. Simply, this phase is a time to work.”
Fri April 12
First Quarter Moon conjunct North Lunar Node: When an action-oriented First Quarter Moon is linked to the futuristic North Lunar Node, you are sure to feel some pressure to move forward or take the next step. This can happen in your mind (Gemini) becoming clearer about how to focus your thoughts. For others, this aspect may accentuate indecisiveness. Dialogue, discuss, journal.
Sat April 13
Sun in Pisces square Pluto in Sagittarius: Today’s square of the activating Sun to transformational, cleansing Pluto offers a chance to release the past, shed possessions (sometimes due to a cataclysmic event) or experience a sudden physical purge. Do a one day liquid fast to support your body’s natural need to lighten up. Feel driven and focused as you tap into the intensity and purposefulness of this aspect.
Moon in Cancer sextile Mars in Taurus: This nurturing sextile brings support within the home. Your kids offer to cook a meal or willingly do their chores. It is non-verbal and sensual so give and receive loving back rubs, hair-brushings, snuggles.
Sun April 14
Moon in Cancer trine Sun in Pisces: This aspect is the time in a SolLunar Cycle where things seem to flow with grace and ease. The water signs encourage deeper emotional connections, too.
Mercury in Pisces squares Juno in Gemini: Part of this conversant square is finding the right words to communicate your intuitions and intentions with a key partner or ask the perfect questions to get to the bottom of lingering questions.
Mon April 15
Sun enters siderealAries: This can create quite a jolt to the system when the Sun exits watery, dreamy, even lazy Pisces and enters fired-up, exuberant, courageous Aries. Take note and see if you feel this shift in your energy field today, a fun experiment!

Moon in Virgo trine Mars in Taurus: This hard-working, productive aspect helps find positive solutions to past impasses or tensions that have existed in professional settings. It’s like suddenly everyone is more cooperative with one another, working toward a newfound harmony.
Thu April 18
Moon/Pallas Athene in Virgo square Saturn/South Lunar Node/Pluto in Sagittarius: This is excellent for long-range strategic planning or mapping out the next step of a current project. Both Virgo and Pluto can manifest as uncomfortable but healing purges in the body/mind/spirit. Book a session to assist clearing your body of toxins. You find you must speak up about something.
Full Moon in sidereal Aries/Libra
Here is a brief synopsis of the Full Moon characteristics that hold true for every Full Moon from my from my friend and sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza at Lunar Planner.
“The Full Moon marks the point of coition in the lunar cycle, the climax, the point of excitement, a time of celebration. The day just after the Full Moon is a time for the realization of the theme to emerge, culminating in the enthusiasm of the Full Moon. Relax and allow this realization to occur. There is no need to force it as it surfaces on its own.”
Fri April 19
Full Moon: Sun/Uranus in Aries opposite Moon in Libra: Heads up! When a Full Moon is linked to Uranus, accidents, breakdowns and breakthroughs are common. These possibilities are amplified by Aries’s influence which can be impulsive or bring great courage to take a leap of faith. Thankfully, the Moon in sidereal Libra brings a balancing influence to this wildness. This can be a dynamic, passionate, life-enhancing Full Moon.
Mercury/Chiron conjunction in Pisces: Mercury rules the mind, but is also linked to vehicles, technology, communication systems. This potent alignment to the Wounded Healer, Chiron, can bring breakdowns or outages in our communication systems. For others, this is also a magical shamanic portal in which things appear or disappear and miracles happen. Meditate on what needs healed in your life and give thanks it will be done.
Sat April 20
Venus in Pisces square Juno in Gemini: Venus in Pisces can be co-dependent, and has a hard time saying no. This tense square can help you speak up and not be silent anymore. It might bring up communication challenges with a beloved.
Mars in Taurus opposite Ceres in Scorpio: If you have financial challenges (or other kinds of issues) at this time, face and confront them with determination with the will to succeed. You WILL (Mars’s gift) discover new solutions going forward.
Sun April 21
Moon in Scorpio quincunx Sun/Uranus in Aries: This aspect is not laid-back so neither should you be. Use its determination, drive, and desire to investigate things or get to the bottom of something. You can get whole lot done today.
Mon April 22 ~ Earth Day
Sun/Uranus conjunction in Aries: This annual conjunction is electric and electrical nature, sparking fires of inspiration or actual fires and power outages. It can fry your nervous system so find ways to stay balanced amidst all the planetary excitation. I would be a bad forecaster if I refrained from mentioning accidents when Uranus is involved! Move with caution and care today.
Moon/Ceres conjunction in Scorpio: This aspect provides potent, powerful, no-nonsense feminine leadership, taking charge. Feel its strength in your own being. Take no BS from anyone.
Tue April 23
Venus/Chiron conjunction in Pisces: This deeply compassionate and caring pairing feels the suffering in the world and seeks to help alleviate that suffering whenever/wherever possible. Spend time in or near water environments to experience the cleansing power of water in its myriad forms. Lymphatic massage is particularly helpful today.
Moon/Jupiter conjunction in Scorpio: This monthly alignment amplifies your current emotional state, be that upbeat and optimistic or negative, even paranoid. Scorpio is intensely focused and driven, so find ways to channel your passion into concrete actions.
Wed April 24
Pluto turns retrograde in siderealSagittarius: It’s another huge astrological day as tiny but mighty Pluto turns retrograde until October 2. Pluto is about willfulness, power issues/struggles, and most importantly, self empowerment. Self-empowerment is the gift of knowing who you are and where you stand. Currently Pluto is transiting through sidereal Sagittarius. I encourage you to go outside at night and see for yourself. Sagittarius signifies we are being shown a new vision of what is possible for our world and is broadcasting information, streaming from deep within the universe and from our future selves. In this time of extraordinary challenges, great courage is being demanded of us and Pluto transiting Sagittarius the Archer is helping us stay strong and focused. Use this retrograde period to further develop your own self-empowerment and strength, whatever that looks like to you.
Thu April 25
Moon/Saturn/South Lunar Node/Pluto conjunction in Sagittarius: Building upon the heightened tension of yesterday’s Pluto turning retrograde, this super-intense aspect can be either forcefully dogmatic or just rock-bottom honest. It is highly physical and athletic, too. It’s a day of enthusiasm and extremes.
Last Quarter Moon
Here is a description of the qualities of the Last Quarter Moon phase compliments of my friend and sidereal colleague, Nick Anthony Fiorenza at Lunar Planner:
“This phase completes with our Inner Needs surfacing to consciousness, to become aware of what is important to self and what is not. Knowing now what our Truth is, it is time to consciously live it. Doing so provides a choice for others to also live theirs. Changing allows us to spiral to a new octave of experience—one that will eventually sprout in the next lunar cycle to come.”
Fri April 26
Last Quarter Moon: Moon in Capricorn square Sun in Aries: Moon in Capricorn supports hard work, exceptional productivity, and can bring a feeling of accomplishment. Use this turning-point square to appreciate all your accomplishments and talents, as if you were standing at the top of the mountain and appreciating the profound effort and energy it has taken to be where you are now. The Aries energy says keep going, keep pioneering the life you want doing the things you love with the people who are your people.
Sat April 27 – Sun April 28
Mars in Taurus square Neptune in Aquarius: These signs can highlight the contrast between playing it safe and being conservative (Taurus) with opening to new options and being progressive (Aquarius). Those types of conversations (with others or within your psyche) might come up today. Use the creative square to map out how you will finance your future dreams. Don’t let fear stop you, just move a bit slower if need be, but keeping moving forward.
Mercury in Pisces opposite Pallas Athene in Virgo: Pisces is highly creative and Virgo is exceptionally organized. This aspect helps you sort out creative problems in practical ways while staying true to your vision.
Mon April 29
Saturn turns retrograde in sidereal Sagittarius conjunct South Lunar Node: Serious Saturn turns retrograde until September 18. Saturn is associated with giving birth in physical form to new conditions in our lives. We are constantly creating our lives, both through our conscious and unconscious choices. Saturn retrograde periods are when we make the hard choices to let go of what no longer serves us, and also establish new routines and choices, learn new skills that bring us greater fulfillment. This year in an extremely rare aspect, Saturn turns retrograde exactly conjunct the South Lunar Node, a point symbolizing the histories we have lived and now outlived, making this an exceptionally important turning point and cycle for the months ahead.
Tue April 30
Moon/Neptune conjunction in Aquarius: This can create huge confusion in the world or amplify intuition and creativity. The key is to feel your way through a situation, not overthink it. It a fun social aspect, too, so gather with your tribe and friends.
Mercury in Pisces sextile Mars in Taurus: Turn a creative idea into a financially productive one with this aspect. This alignment also helps you learn more about how intuition works in your life. Attune to how you know if something is true for you by feeling it in your body and noting where you specifically receive the signals. Is it your heart, your belly, your left knee? Experiment!
Wed May 1
Mercury in Pisces square Saturn/South Node in Sagittarius: Sometimes Mercury/Saturn connections feel somber or serious. This aspect might show up as turning point in some situation or clarity about an impending decision.
Venus/Vesta conjunction in Pisces: As an archetype, Vesta rules one’s sexual energy and how one channels that energy. Vesta can manifest as an affair outside a marriage relationship. With this alignment with love-focused Venus in no-boundaries Pisces, some might feel confused about a relationship or decide to wade in further.
Thu May 2
Moon/Mercury/Venus conjunction in Pisces: This musical and creative conjunction creates a fusion and collaboration of mind, heart and emotions in a beautiful way. Dance, make music, harmonize with others.
Fri May 3
Moon/Uranus conjunction in Aries: We end this SolLunar Cycle with a bang as the emotional Moon aligns with experimental, authentic Uranus. Reflect on this last day of the waning Moon the new choices you made in the past four weeks, how you reached beyond your comfort zone, following the courage of your heart.
Happy New Moon tomorrow!
