“Pollinating Geometry” detail of hexagon painting by Lyndsay Rowan
Overview
Welcome to our dynamic New SolLunar Cycle taking place in the later part of astronomical Aries shifting into Taurus on May 15. It’s a wild-card meetup with the Sun and Moon aligning with both revolutionary, risk-taking Uranus in Aries and expansive, optimistic Jupiter in Taurus. An exciting sextile to Saturn helps stabilize some of the instability of this New Moon and the upcoming four weeks. Hopefully.
Jupiter entered sidereal Taurus on May 4 until May 2025. This transit feels both juicy and joyful, full of possibility and prosperity, and also serious and determined to push through obstacles and make stuff happen. This grounding energy will greatly help us manifest our dreams and desires in physical, tangible ways.
Jupiter in Taurus also helps us, even pressures us, to pay close attention to our physical bodies, deciphering what they require any given moment to enhance radiant vitality. Our bodies are wise beings that always want to heal, feel better, move with ease like a strong, vibrant animal navigating through the world with power and grace. This transit can be stabilizing to our nervous systems — unlike the Jupiter in Aries we navigated the previous twelve months — providing we take time to engage in calming, daily practices we explore with more constancy and determination. And as Taurus is also linked to the body of Earth, Jupiter could aggravate or amplify dramatic earthly shifts with shaking and quaking.
The spiritual dimensions linked to both Aries and Taurus symbolize the need to take personal responsibility for oneself. Aries is our energetic light-body self which helps us become more consciously awake and aware. Taurus rules our dense physical body and the month of Taurus is linked to Buddha, a wise being and teacher who discovered his own path to enlightenment. Enlightenment is something I have pondered for decades. What is it really? This past February I stood under a dazzling starry sky after a cleansing freezing blizzard and these words came to me: Enlightenment is full acceptance every moment of what is. I have been pondering these words the past three months. This description in no way implies we have to like what is happening or that we shouldn’t take actions that arise from our centered passionate core. But working to find acceptance of what is happening now, in every moment, strikes me as something I want to become even more skillful at practicing daily. May our human tribe use this transit of Jupiter through Taurus to ground deeper into our collective, ever-evolving awakening and always-expanding enlightenment.
There are a number of extraordinary aspects about to arrive. But first I must apologize for totally missing Pluto turning retrograde on May 2! I have no idea why as I am always attuned to Pluto. Planetary trickster mischief keeps me on my toes! Jupiter will make a one-time exciting sextile to Neptune in Pisces on May 23 and a flowing trine to Pluto in Capricorn on June 2. Both of these positive aspects indicate profound shifts in our collective experience and the direction we are going as a united human race. The Sun will make annual conjunctions with Uranus and Jupiter. Venus will move closer and closer to the Sun, ending the Morning Star phase and beginning the Evening Star phase on June 4, right before the next New Moon, which feels like a blessed miracle.
NOTE: When reading my daily entries, remember that the influence of each aspect is like a wave — it crescendos a day or two, sometimes a week, before it happens, crests on the day it is exact, then dissipates over the following days. People experience the transits of planets at different times depending on their sensitivity and life events.

Sidereal Astrology Mentoring and Readings
My posts are based on the true astronomical alignments of the planets with the constellations, also referred to as the sidereal zodiac. I use the phases of the Moon as the scaffold for my posts because the Moon functions like an energetic portal mediating between the heavens and our wondrous Earth. My entries are based on the aspects occurring each week as they crescendo, crest and dissipate over the course of their influence. As you work with and within the natural flow of time and the supportive cosmic energies that each unique SolLunar Cycle brings, life can flow with more ease, grace and understanding.
I delight in mentoring students — individually, with families or groups, and via workshops and conferences — who want to learn more about how to use sidereal astrology as a helpful tool for insight, evolution, creativity and well-being. Consider booking a reading with me, either a Full Natal Map or mini-readings for $44 or $88, or choose from my other options such as the Relationship Map or a Child or AdolEssence Map for your children. Thank you!

Forgiveness and profound healing are possible with this conjunction.

This bridges two signs linked to seeking truth. Sagittarius likes book-learning and being taught by or teaching others, while Pisces is about inner listening to oneself, a solitary experience but can also be experienced in shared meditations with others. Both are valid but different ways of self-discovery. Enjoy both today, especially regarding your artistic and spiritual studies.

Jupiter in Taurus trine Pluto in Capricorn: Sun Jun 2
This one-time positive aspect links confident Jupiter with powerhouse Pluto, creating the sense of being completely in the flow while doing a challenging physical feat or just going through your everyday life. At the collective level this pressures institutions, organizations and businesses to let go of past models for success and to innovate and expand in this very expansive year.
Mercury in Taurus trine Pluto in Capricorn: Mon Jun 3
As both Taurus the Bull and Capricorn the Mountain Goat are both animals of determination, this pairing makes for a super-productive day full of accomplishments. Mental energy is strong all day long and into the evening.
Sun/Venus conjunction in Taurus: Tue Jun 4
As Sun and Venus unite again as they do every nine months, Venus completes her Morning Star phase and enters the Evening Star phase, soon to be visible around sunset. Metaphorically this symbolizes a shift in how you want to manifest and express your heart/art desires. Take a moment and attune to what you desire, seed new intentions during this magical portal of wonder, cosmically-timed to the next New Moon.
Blessed New Moon in sidereal Taurus aligned with Venus: Thu June 6 6:37 am MT
