In the language of the stars, December 11, 2007 holds a potent new beginning for each of us and all of us. Jupiter and Pluto are uniting in Sagittarius to begin a new 13-year cycle. Some things will have to go, shockingly ripped from you, yet what remains in your life will be essential and, in time, only get better. Here are some reflections on what this event might mean.
Jupiter, our largest planet, symbolically and literally is about all things BIG: expansiveness, optimism, faith, joy, and enthusiasm. It can also portend greed and overreaching. Pluto (potent as ever despite attempts to demote this powerhouse of a planet) invokes death/rebirth, life shattering events, power struggles, and, as the ruler of biology, the power and mystery of life force and vitality. Ever since I became a student of astrology in 1980 I have defined Pluto as the love of power or the power of love. So as these two unite in a conjunction, which they do every 13 years, we are clearly in for some big upheavals and sudden awakenings.
The last conjunction of these planets was in December 1994 in the sign of Scorpio. When Scorpio energies rule the day, emergencies are common, exposes abound, and ongoing investigations, well, they remain ongoing. We dig deeper, attempting to uncover what is REALLY going on. We’ve spent the last 13 years uncovering the seemingly endless trauma that touches every level of our world, be it
environmental, political, or spiritual abuse. No one has escaped this now-passing historical period of examination/excavation whether it was through personal familial work or collective institutional work.
Many were also busy with cover-ups but no for much longer.
This new cycle is embedded between two larger planetary cycles. From May 2000 (when Jupiter/Saturn formed a new alignment lasting 20 years) to December 2020, we are currently engaged in changing society in ways that will benefit all people. This cycle is about a new way of doing philanthropy in which each person, no matter what their financial situation, realizes their own potential in being a benefactor for others. And those with extreme wealth will find innovative, revolutionary ways of sharing it to make our planet a more kind and loving place for Earth and Earth’s inhabitants.
We will become a green and giving world.
You may have also heard about stories and prophecies linked to the year 2012. Some believe it is the date the Mayan calendar ends and we enter into a new relationship with time as we realize we are
not the center of the universe, but a participant in a galactic community. However it plays out what is coming in 2012 is a new type/level of consciousness and an expanded awareness of who we really are.
The coming conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius has something to do with setting the stage, creating the tone of what 2012 might look like, and the 13 years they transit sidereal Sagittarius takes us to 2020.

Thankfully, a resurrection is at hand, a restoring of an ancient yet entirely new balance for our humanity, for our Earth. If Scorpio rules the death of the mythical Phoenix, burning up in the ashes of its former life, then Sagittarius ushers in the resurrection to a new life….the Phoenix rising in a more magnificent form than even before.
This event feels like a Winter Solsitce in our history. After the darkness comes the return of the light.
The Jupiter/Pluto conjunction of Dec 11 2007 at 12:17 MST (adjust to your time zone) is aligned with the Galactic Heart Center. In star language, this is the place of great wisdom and love guiding humanity to our next evolutionary leap. Think of it as the heart of our galaxy streaming great wisdom to those of you who are listening. Feel this wisdom, this love, there, in your heart, as the
light of truth alighting in your heart and asking you to take action on your beliefs.
It gets even better. The day this event occurs…12/11…a SIX-POINTED STAR is also taking shape around the Earth as different planetary energies line up in the star configuration that embodies the balance between heaven and earth, female and male, light and dark, bridging the illusion/loneliness of duality consciousness to the illumination/ liveliness of coherent cooperation consciousness.
See this as a new integration, a new calling even, uniting the Galactic Heart in the heavens with the Heart of the Earth, and so within the hearts of each planetary citizen. Each of us can find a way to lead a genuinely balanced life, whatever that means for you. Not the same for everyone. This is a global awakening and will affect everyone everywhere no matter what your life circumstance. Such is the power of these portals in time and space. We will all be changed, subtly for some, cataclysmically for others.
There is great calm and relief knowing no one is exempt from both the cleansing and profound benefits of this event. The SIX-POINTED STAR integrates, it is about integration and it is about integrity. Do you live and act from your heart where integrity resides? Do you stand in your integrity, taking stands on issues that count to you? And, with this new beginning, are there things you can
do to create more integrity, more balance in your world?
We are coming to the end of hidden agendas and attempts at having it both ways. We can’t destroy the Earth with one hand and then attempt to undo the damage with the other. It is time to stop
doing the damage in the first place. We quite literally can’t say one thing and do another, and if we keep living that kind of split, there will consequences immediately.
We have to fundamentally rethink how we live our lives. Sagittarius is the astrological sign of actions that will benefit future generations. We recognize how much power each of us has RIGHT NOW. As each of us takes responsibility for our life choices on a daily basis, we will know the real power of every person on planet Earth has to influence the outcome.
The masses are always ahead of their perceived masters. It’s time to trust yourself and know your power.
Out of the healing depths we’ve plummeted from 1994 to 2007, the grassroots now rise up with our collective actions of health for our society and for our most beloved home, our Earth. Make all your
actions as green as you can, as fast as you can. You will prosper quickly, in all ways, if you will do so. So will those around you.
