New Moon

I just returned from a mini-retreat in Yellowstone where I captured this moment, captivated by the colors of dusk in the sky mirrored exactly in the sunset of this bubbling hot spring, creating new earth out of ancient volcanic waters. It truly is magic, what goes on in Yellowstone, day in, day out, for eons. By late autumn, much of the human hubbub is gone so the great silence rising up from the land can be fully experienced, absorbed, inhabited. It is a time of healing Grace.
Another dynamic week lies ahead as we converge/merge with the fierce, fiery, militaristic Mars/Jupiter conjunction in Leo. This volcanic aspect might be tempered a bit by the creative, compassionate Venus/Neptune opposition. Make plans for the coming weekend that involve some form of joyful movement, or maybe you will dive headlong/heartstrong into new creative urges and relationships. Time to frolic and express your wilder side.

Breakthroughs are possible, along with breakdowns that lead to upgrades in your technology, your nervous system, your inner realizations. You may experience numerous awakenings, many intuitive leads (don’t get attached…just follow one lead to the next), neurological symptoms like anxiety, nervousness, even seizures, as well as spontaneous outbursts of emotion. Mercury ~ your mind/ideas~ in analytical Virgo makes an opposition to focused Vesta in compassionate, emotional Pisces, helping you release something near and dear, like your manuscript, your beloved pet, an old way of viewing the world that is best laid to rest in order for you to thrive going forward.

Moon in Libra sextile waxing Mars/Jupiter conjunction: Thankfully, the peace-seeking Libra Moon brings a desire to partner with like-hearted colleagues on some emerging collaboration be that designing a home, imagining an upcoming adventure, planning for this coming weekend. The passionate torch of this once-every-two years conjunction of Mars and Jupiter is taking place in creative, playful, egotistical Leo. There are many choices as to how you will use this fiery portal or allow it to use you. Sparks will be flying in the coming days.

Venus in Leo opposite Neptune in Aquarius: This aspect can call forth either deceptions surrounding love/creative endeavors, or brings you back to your truest dream, including a destined, chance encounter with a soulmate beloved. Neptune is our ruler of both magic/wonder, as well as delusional thinking. Both Venus and Neptune are portals of love, one personal, one cosmic/divine. As they come into geometric opposition, you might be wondering if you should choose intimacy and a lover, or opt for celibacy and head to the convent?
Moon/Saturn conjunction in Scorpio: This serious and at times depressive aspect is happening as you awaken from sleep (if you slept at all and weren’t up much of the night with fret). You can accomplish much with this focused alignment as well, which will carry through much of today. Something might bring limitation into your life, like a temporary lack of funds, a deep exhaustion, a feeling of being leaden or held down, all compliments of Saturn.
