Chiron
“Rainbow Rings” photograph by James Warner
In mythical astrology, Chiron is a Centaur, here to help us with becoming more whole. He is often referred to as the Wounded Healer or the Rainbow Bridge. Chiron sits between the orbits of Saturn ~ the status quo, your known reality ~ and Uranus ~ taking a leap of faith, evolving with your future self in mind. Chiron rules shamans, artists and healers of all kinds. With this week’s annual Sun/Chiron conjunction, Chiron’s themes of facing our wounds and discovering a potential magical rainbow bridge to our next destination are up, big time. In addition, the Full Moon on Thursday activates this same Chirotic theme. Prepare for a catalytic week ahead with all this sky action.

Mon Mar 2
Moon/Jupiter conjunction in Cancer: This monthly aspect always amplifies hidden emotions you’ve been able to keep at bay, but not today. Don’t be surprised by a sudden emotional overwhelm. And remember that this current once-every-twelve-years transit of Jupiter in sidereal Cancer is associated with many elders passing, their time on Earth complete. All this loss might be adding to your grief, or just a feeling your entire family support system is under renovation.
Tue Mar 3
Jupiter/Uranus trine: This is an upbeat, positive aspect for our planet when it occurs. This is the second of three harmonious trines, the first occurred mid-September 2014, and the finale will be coming mid-June 2015. Jupiter rules faith arising from the stance of natural optimism, and Uranus rules taking a leap of faith. Historically, this aspect denotes new inventions and creative breakthroughs, and revolutionary movements often take their next big steps. Evolution is the way of the Universe. What are we evolving toward here on Earth? It’s a question we each need to be asking as every one of us has a key role to play in this crucial evolutionary period. How will you use your considerable skills to better your life and hopefully that of others as well? Give some consideration to the bigger picture today.
Wed Mar 4
Venus conjunct Uranus square Pluto: Since Venus seems to work closely with our love life, our values, our personal money, our sense of self-worth, when it makes an annual alignment with Uranus, you can experience either breakthroughs on all those fronts, or a temporary breakdown that encourages you to make healthier choices going forward. They are aligning in sidereal Pisces, a water sign of great compassion, so tears might arise or you might decide spontaneously to head to the local pet adoption agency and commit to a new friend. Or you may be comforting someone in need. This aspects tends to open even the most closed and protected hearts to feel again.
Mercury/Vesta conjunction in Capricorn: When Mercury, the planet that rules the mind and all communication systems, aligns with Vesta, the asteroid of undaunted focus, you might feel extra focused in your work today. Or if you are just fed up with being plagued by unwanted thoughts, you might decide to finally harness the power of your thoughts by making a commitment to practices like meditation, visualization, intentional prayer.
Mars/SouthNode conjunction in Pisces: There’s a whole lot of endings going on inside you and around you right now as planets have been aligning with the South Node of letting go of the past. Today passionate truthful athletic Mars chimes in and makes a once every two year crossing over the South Node. You are ready to take action, or your suffering is such that you are forced to take action (I’m talking health issues for some).
Thu Mar 5
Full Moon trine Pluto: Today’s sidereal creative, playful Leo Moon makes an illuminating opposition to the community-minded, social Aquarius Sun which is in a happy trine to truthful, willful Pluto in Sagittarius. It would be a good idea to move this energy by moving in joyful, athletic, creative ways so it doesn’t get thwarted and turns inward, increasing inflammation and agitation in your body. The trine to Pluto indicates you are inclined to make a radical shift or be more confident in being direct with those around you. This is Tiger medicine, fierce, fiery, sensual, courageous.
Pallas Athena enters Sagittarius: Since this asteroid goddess of creative intelligence is departing inward looking Scorpio and makes an entrance into visionary, philosophical, at times dogmatic Sagittarius, your creative insights and urges will now want to come forth into the light of day.
Fri Mar 6
Virgo Moon: Remember the Full Moon of yesterday is still very much in play and integrating into your Field today. The more grounded Virgo Moon can help calm these wilder energies through healthy practices and focused action. Remember to breathe, deep full breathes.
Sat Mar 7
Sun/Chiron conjunction in Aquarius: Here we go! This annual Sun/Chiron conjunction is always a stunning day of magical happenings, at times heartbreaking sorrow, at other times out-of-the-box creative awakenings. In astrology we talk of Saturn time, which is 3D time, clock time. Chirotic time is shamanic time, and is linked to working in other Fields of consciousness, other timelines, and embodying the 5D quantum Field where miracles are the natural order of things. Do you believe this is possible? Investigate this idea today, and better yet, practice it yourself. Aquarius will tend to make you more open-minded. A good shaman or energy worker can help you, so book an appointment today.
Virgo Moon conjunct North Node: Today is a goal-oriented day. The Moon rules where our feelings naturally want to guide us moment to moment, day by day. Today’s health-minded, discriminating, critical Virgo Moon makes a monthly alignment with the North Node which heralds your next step. It’s a good day to feel that natural devotion to a cause and a willingness to do the determined work it might take to reach your goal.
Sun Mar 8
Moon in Virgo opposite Venus in Pisces: Keep in mind the mystical portal of the Sun/Chiron is still very much in play still today and will continue to create bizarre events or strange time shifts you can’t fathom. Moon and Venus opposing one another can pit what you need against what you want, meaning you can feel torn between two choices, both of which will serve different aspects of your Self. A conundrum is at hand. Virgo likes order and knowing in advance, and is prone to worry, and Pisces is laid back, has faith and trust it will all work out, and is prone to laziness. An interesting conundrum indeed, and each must find their way through.
