Full Moon

It’s important to note that whenever we have a Full Moon, we are also experiencing a fully illuminated Sun, a Full Sun. I believe the Sun responds to the Moon’s light just as the Moon’s light is triggered and evolved by it’s ever changing relationship to the Sun. They are in a primal relationship, a tandem evolutionary dance, that greatly influences we humans here on Earth. And when the Sun undergoes events like last week’s intense Solar Flares that translate to severe geomagnetic storms here on Earth (you can follow these events at http://www.spaceweather.com/) it is assured that we too are being accosted energetically to shift rapidly into a more evolved Self. This process can be suddenly eruptive to us, just as it is in the Sun. As above, so below. This can manifest to some as increased anxiety, massive uncertainty, intermittent outbursts of swearing, to name a few symptoms. At least, that was my experience last week! And let’s not forget outbursts of grief for so many as we navigate the accelerated transitions happening in and around us.
The Moon reveals our subconscious motivations and the Sun is associated with our conscious motivations. Each of us is a complex flux of these two equally powerful forces working on us at any given moment. At any Full SunMoon, like we will experience this week, each of us can gain a greater understanding of who we are and what is guiding us from the unfathomable mystery of our personal and planetary Being-ness.
Here is a brief synopsis of Full Moon characteristics that hold true to every Full Moon. Thank you Nick Anthony Fiorenza ~ http://www.lunarplanner.com/ ~
“The latter part of this phase, building up to the Full Moon, matures our efforts into vision and enthusiasm. It is the intermixing of opposites that creates the magic to bear the fruit of our passions. The day and night just before the Full Moon is the most potent, exhilarating energy—a dynamic social and alchemical time. The Full Moon marks the point of coition in the lunar cycle, the climax, the point of excitement, a time of celebration.
The day just after the Full Moon is a time to kick back and relax. It is a time for the realization of the theme to emerge, of what the activities of the first half of the lunar cycle, culminating into the enthusiasm of the Full Moon, are really about. Relax and allow this realization to occur. There is no need to force it as it surfaces on its own.”

Please note: I make my posts according to the Lunar cycles, posting on the New, First Quarter, Full and Third Quarter Moons, as a way of helping you work with the natural flow of time and energy. Also, I base my interpretations and predictions on the true sidereal astronomical alignments. Wed July 1
Sun/Mars in Gemini opposite Moon/Pluto in Sagittarius: Today is the Full SunMoon, building to a climax all day and aligning exactly in the early evening hours. But the Moon in athletic, truthful, know-it-all Sagittarius first opposes forceful Mars all day. This can lead to some very direct, confrontational exchanges, even accidents, so be sure to take deep calming breathes all day long to help balance this fiery energy in your nervous system before you erupt in sharing your truth. Because this Full SunMoon cycle is linked to Pluto ~ catharsis/death/rebirth ~ it can be a super-charged time to follow-up through with dynamic changes you have wanted to make. Pluto naturally clears out the dross in our lives, so purge those closets, literally and metaphorically.
Mars square nodes: In addition, Mars is making an once every two-year waxing square to the Lunar Nodes. That means a shift is taking place in where you have focused your energies the past six months (leaving behind the South Node of our historical Self) to where you want to be heading the next six months (now moving toward the North Node, calling forth your future Self). A great aspect to sleuth out information to support a project or dream as Mars is in informational, curious Gemini.
Jupiter/Venus conjunction: Ah this magical beauteous alignment, which you have probably been observing, is now through it’s first conjunction completing in sidereal Cancer. Cancer is the ruler of family dynamics, encourages a love of being home in our sacred space, or needing to spend time celebrating the vegetative Earthly abundance of chlorophyll and wildflowers. Take in this nourishment through all your senses and discover how beauty ought to be considered a food group, in my humble opinion. By the way, when they meet up again in late October, they will be rising in the early morning hours, instead of at sunset, as they unite in playful, creative Leo.
Sun in Gemini trine Neptune in Aquarius: This festive aspect supports connecting naturally, synchronistically with just the right folks who nurture you in ways you weren’t even aware you needed nurturing. That’s because both Gemini and Aquarius are astrological signs that are willing to be more open, curious and experimental. Staying youthful, no matter your age, involves openness, curiosity and experimentation.
Thu July 2
Mercury in Taurus sextile Uranus in Pisces: As Mercury nears it’s completion of the long transit through sidereal Taurus (that’s because it went through a three week retrograde in May/June) you may find yourself pleasantly surprised today (Uranus brings both shock and surprise) by some out of the blue news in regards to a financial matter, a real estate transaction, or your physical health as these are all domains linked to Taurus.
Moon in Sagittarius square Uranus in Pisces: As you continue to glean insights from yesterday’s Full Moon, this planetary square can fire up your will to be a super-charged athlete, pushing yourself hard, even too hard. A cautionary note: listen to what your body really needs as this aspect also includes the desire for some Piscean rest, restoration, lingering longer by the mountain stream. Strike a balance between fire and water today.
Fri July 3
Mercury in Taurus square Chiron in Aquarius: Mercury is the ruler of our mental state and is linked to how we experience the world because of our ideas and beliefs. If you are occasionally bogged down by fear-based thinking or poverty consciousness, this decision-making square could be used positively to seek and practice a new way of viewing something. Chiron rules magic and miracles, if you believe such things are possible. Explore your options today.
Mercury in Taurus sextile Jupiter in Cancer: I will repeat a bit of what I said yesterday as this dynamic holds a similar energy. As Mercury nears the completion of it’s long transit through sidereal Taurus (that’s because it went through a three week retrograde in May/June) you may find yourself pleasantly surprised today (Uranus brings both shock and surprise) by some out of the blue news in regards to a financial matter, a real estate transaction….and to that I add this….a family matter might be nicely resolved or a home-improvement project finds completion.
Moon/Ceres conjunction in Capricorn: As Ceres is linked to care-giving and care-receiving (make sure both are finding expression in your life), today is a good day to ask for what you need ~ the Moon’s question ~ in your key relationships. This aspect can also show up as needing to care for an elder or be extra vigilant about what your kid’s are up too. That would be what the energy of Capricorn symbolizes in this alignment.
Sat July 4
Mercury in Taurus sextile Venus in Cancer: This lovely communicative aspect bodes well for positive social interactions all day long. As Venus is leaving Cancer and entering sidereal Leo in the evening hours, the influence of playfulness and opening will expand the peoples’ hearts, like the flowering joyful fireworks blanketing the United States of America tonight. May you feel and express the love in your heart.
Sun July 5
Mercury enters Gemini: It’s assumed by astrologers that Mercury loves entering Gemini, it’s most natural mercurial home. This several week transit is excellent for the logistical, multi-tasking side of life. Your mind can become quicker, sharper, and a sense of humor can return as Mercury is the Trickster archetype. Taking road trips can be extra easy and fun during this transit, or looking and booking ahead for a future journey.
Moon in Aquarius: The friendly eccentric Moon in Aquarius makes a couple key aspects today. It will first oppose Juno in Leo ~ what each partner loves to do ~ which might bring up polarities in conversation about how each individual wants to play today. Take time to go back and forth, reviewing the options, then find that common ground that works for both of you, all of you. By the late night hours, Moon aligns perfectly, exactly with dreamy, imaginative Neptune, encouraging a spaciousness of heart to dream bigger than you might have before. Dreams are extra visionary tonight.
Mon July 6
Sun in Gemini opposite Pluto in Sagittarius: This extra fierce, annual opposition of our illuminating Sun to power-oriented Pluto can bring up power struggles or battles of the will between parties, and also manifest as extreme endurance or exceptional productivity. Also note that Sagittarius often guides philosophers and visionaries, and Gemini sparks the desire to bring that etheric idea down to Earth in practical details. Both aspects are necessary to get the job done.
Moon/Chiron conjunction in Aquarius: This monthly aspect can call up a sudden feeling of vulnerability or sense of being exposed. Chiron is associated with both our woundedness yet also supports us to heal ourselves by honoring who we truly are. And Aquarius is the sign of truly being yourself, so live your diversity, revel in your uniqueness, BE the authentic YOU.
Tue July 7
Moon in Pisces conjunct South Node: We finish out this Full SunMoon week with more open-heartedness and vulnerability as the compassionate Moon in Pisces makes a monthly transit over the South Node of forgiving and moving beyond our past, our old story. Or this aspect may feel like a sense of just wanting to sit and do nothing. You may choose to call that tiredness or you may decide to name that the need for inner quiet and reflection.
