Here’s a major shift from the sidereal astrological perspective. Saturn has just entered sidereal (true astronomical) Scorpio, an historical cycle lasting two and a half years and occurring once every 29 years, where we will all be guided or forced to deepen our relationships and intimacy with Self, transform our lives in undreamt of ways, and also do the grueling, focused work it takes to deepen and transform all our institutions as well. Issues surrounding the right to die movement and all reproductive issues will especially undergo reform, but not without the potential for bloody battles, also part of the skyground of Scorpio. I chose the word ‘crescendo’ for this weeks Star Signposts as we head into the battle zone, truth mine field of the once every two years Mars/Pluto conjunction. Luckily, you’ll have this week to prepare.
Mon Nov 3
Today’s energetic Sun sextile Pluto can keep you glowing and going all day, focused on your goals, inspired to create change within and around you. Venus in Libra ~ a desire for harmony, love and beauty ~ is in a quincunx to Uranus in Pisces ~ breakthroughs of compassion ~ encouraging us to make an adjustment in how we are relating in our relationships, what actions are we taking, so as to more fully demonstrate the values of love, beauty, harmony, tranquility amidst the unending noise and distraction of our ongoing global chaos.

It’s Election Day. That’s all I’ll say about that. No predictions. And GO VOTE! Mercury enters Libra today. This bodes well for people voting for those candidates they perceive might be the true peacemakers in this toxic political environment. As ruler of our mental states, Mercury in Libra lends itself to picking up an art book or paintbrush to remember how art remakes our world. Or pick up the phone and make peace with an old frenemy. The watery emotional Pisces Moon makes this easier today as it unites with Uranus. Emotional breakthroughs are possible if we allow ourselves to experience our vulnerability. Come to cherish your ability to shed tears. Healing waters, to be sure.
Wed Nov 5
The assertive, more aggressive independent Aries Moon enters the celestial fray today and makes an opposition to relational Mercury in Libra. This is the configuration for the classic standoff of negotiating needs within our core relationships. What do I need? What do you need? What do we need? Feisty dialogue leads to opening new doors or ways of relating. Feel the pull of the almost Full Moon tomorrow. Just a reminder: step outside and allow those cosmic waves of the expansive big Moon, that fully reveals itself to us once a month, to expand your life in positive ways. It’s a great time tonight and tomorrow night to send forth your intentions, prayers, desires, GRATITUDES, to an appreciative and supportive Universe. And the Universe will respond and deliver ‘right back at you’.
Thu Nov 6
The dynamics of this Full Moon involve the sidereal Aries Moon and Sun in Libra. The celebration and tension around this event may involve your core relationships and your desire to express your true nature with more honesty than ever before. Since the Moon squares Juno in Cancer, confrontations and constructive dialogue might occur with a family member. The Moon also forms a supportive trine to the building Mars/Pluto conjunction (exact next Monday) in Sagittarius. The ferocity and passion of this alignment is great, and hopefully you can channel this energy in positive utterly honest ways. No need to hide. Be raw, real, and truthful, and experience that as the ground for true love.
Fri Nov 7
Keep in mind the dynamics of yesterday’s Full Moon is still in full swing (re-read yesterday’s post). But today carries the severity of the Moon opposing Saturn. This aspect can create a mini-depression out of the blue. It is fleeting, but still demands your attention. When you go down, allow yourself to go down. Take a nap, pick up your journal and download, call a friend and download your depth. Explore it, be present, and soon the sunshine will return, and you will be wiser and more interesting for having taken the journey.

I know I keep harping on the truth telling theme, but it’s in the celestial Field, and will only get stronger next week. If you practice blurting now, perhaps you won’t utterly explode on someone next week! Today’s Juno in Cancer ~ marriage partners/family commitments ~ is in an awkward quincunx to Pluto. So speak up, and it may feel awkward and clumsy. But that’s totally okay and actually lovable. How ’bout you view life and relationship as an exploration, not a certainty? How about you release the need to know? With that one switch in belief, you will do just fine, all will be well, and all your relationships will be much more harmonious.
Sun Nov 9
Venus in Libra squaring off with Jupiter in Cancer might make for serious discussions about the family budget. Or many might be calling their therapists for an emergency session come Monday. An explosiveness is in the air, so just being aware of this will help you navigate your wilder emotions. Pull out all your tools, dust them off, and recommit to your practice. Then the intensity of these transits will surely help you become a greater Master of your world, functioning from your more evolved Self, and not the old fearful competitive ego self. Ego is good, and necessary, you just don’t want it driving your car of Self. Think of ego as more like the GPS, it can give you options about how to go places, but YOU, are ultimately the decision maker. Does that make sense? I hope so.
Mon Nov 10
Today’s fiercest of fierce, warrior, super athletic Mars/Pluto conjunction might be one for the history books, given the events transpiring in our world. The elections will probably still be in dispute, so this aspect triggers the lawsuits. And violent extremists feel embolden, but so do those fighting the battles. In your personal landscape, you will be on fire, and that can actually lead to increased inflammation in your physical body. Chug the green drinks all week, and steer clear of situations, foods, temperaments that cause you to flare up. More on this next week.
Thank you Victoria Blumberg ~sunflowersummer.com~ for blessing this post with for evocative fall Teton sunset.
