Last Quarter Moon

From the perspective of the disruptive and empowering astrological cycles at play in our heavenly Field (one example: Uranus, the revolutionary, colliding with Eris, the disrupter), there is simply no way to avoid the great dismantling, yet also awakening nature of these times. It was only one month ago, at the previous Last Quarter Moon, that the New World Disorder began. This inevitable chaotic process is necessary and empowering in some ways, and tremendously challenging and terrifying in others. My motto: I will persist.
Because I post according to the Lunar cycles, some weeks I include only six calendar days, while others, like this week, span eight days, making this a long Last Quarter Moon cycle. This phase of the Moon can lead to a crisis of opportunity as we say goodbye to our former lives, or lead us to important steps we are ready to take to create our next version of self and reality. This week, a challenge or project may take longer to resolve than you would like. Practice patience and trust that all will come to completion at the right time. This week, you can bring more conscious attention as to what is being presented to you by the wise benevolent Universe, and how you can choose to be, to feel, and what you will choose to think and to do.

Here is a description of the qualities of the Last Quarter Moon phase compliments of my friend and sidereal colleague, Nick Anthony Fiorenza at Lunar Planner:
“This phase completes with our Inner Needs surfacing to consciousness, to become aware of what is important to self and what is not. A sense of completion comes forth with a recognition that the past scenario has served its purpose and it is time to leave what is antiquated behind. Knowing now what our Truth is, it is time to consciously live it. Doing so provides a choice for others to also live theirs. Changing allows us to spiral to a new octave of experience—one that will eventually sprout in the next lunar cycle to come.”
Note: I write my posts according to the Lunar cycles, posting on the New, First Quarter, Full and Third Quarter Moons. If you work with and within the natural flow of time, the 13 Moon cycle, your life will flow with more ease and grace. My interpretations and predictions are based on the true sidereal astronomical alignments. Sat February 18
Last Quarter Moon: Moon in Scorpio square Sun in Aquarius: Scorpio can be notoriously attached and possessive, while Aquarius can be exceptionally detached and freedom-loving. You might experience this tension today, within or without, in some aspect of life. Use the exceptional drive and passion of Scorpio to lay the groundwork for your future Self, the domain of Aquarius. It’s a working Saturday on both the inner and outer levels of life.
Sun February 19
Moon in Scorpio trine Venus/Mars in Pisces: This aspect supports non-verbal nurturing. It helps align your civic values and passions with your financial, consumer-ly choices.
Mon February 20
Mercury in Capricorn sextile Uranus in Pisces: Take advantage of these final days of mental Mercury in organizational Capricorn and get your house/houses in order. Today’s helpful sextile to Uranus assists you in throwing out all that might drag you down, hold you back, like unnecessary baggage. Uranus manifests as renewed vitality as we liberate ourselves from unconscious, even unhealthy habits.
Moon/Saturn conjunction in Sagittarius: For many months last year, when the Moon/Saturn conjunction in Scorpio would come around, I felt like the bringer of bad news. I wrote of possible depression and the need to face long-standing stagnations. Thankfully, that transit is done (until a final stint in the summer 0f 2017 that will to help the constructive reordering of our lives). Saturn has now moved into the dynamic fire sign of ‘take-a-stand/optimistic/futuristic’ sidereal Sagittarius. Today’s lunar trigger of Moon to Saturn can bring a committed call to action as you feel ready to act on your deepest convictions.
Tue February 21
Sun/South Lunar Node conjunction in Aquarius: This annual alignment has our Sun illuminating some aspect of your past choices, your resting place, your place of stability. It can bring a sense of gratitude and appreciation for how you got where you are today. It also asks this: Are you happy staying put or are you longing for a new adventure? This aspect can reconnect you with old friends or recalls memories from your past as you sift and sort through aspects of your history.
Mercury in Capricorn trine Jupiter in Virgo: This aspect is fabulously productive and cautiously optimistic. As Jupiter is still in retrograde until June 9, you may be exploring ideas of expansion and new possibilities and doing research so when it’s time to make your move, you are thoroughly and properly prepared.
Moon/Juno conjunction in Sagittarius: This portal opens new possibilities in our relationship lives, both personal and professional. It ignites a desire to find colleagues who share our sense of adventure or activist causes.
Wed February 22
Mars in Pisces square Pluto in Sagittarius: This exceptionally willful, combative square between warrior Mars and power-loving Pluto often poses great struggles as we confront our own motivations and desires around power and control. But as Mars is currently transiting spiritual Pisces, we are being guided to align with our higher will which seeks to create empowerment for all. It’s a good day to remember and practice the power of prayer and intention to shift consciousness on Earth. You can choose to be a zone of peace even as you continue your activist work against old school, ego-driven destructive power-grabs.
Moon/Pluto conjunction: This monthly alignment is fiercely truthful, direct and highly athletic in nature. You might engage in a marathon of reading to catch up on all the news or power through those books piled up, waiting to be digested.
Mercury enters sidereal Aquarius: Now our minds take flight into futuristic, community-organizing Aquarius. The next few weeks will be a highly creative time to seize new ideas from mid-air and bring them down to earth.
Thu February 23
Moon in Capricorn square Ceres in Aries: With the motivating Moon in responsible, civic-minded Capricorn, pioneering initiatives are launched that will benefit society. Or you might just find a more efficient way to organize your space, and suddenly discard things that you haven’t touched in years. This aspect can also lead to discussions between parents and children about scheduling times for both personal freedom and familial responsibilities.
Fri February 24
Moon in Capricorn sextile Venus/Mars and trine Jupiter: If you are finishing your work week today, this aspect brings a steady, productive finish to the tasks at hand. Don’t bring anything home so you can enjoy the carefree, relaxing transits coming this weekend.
Sat February 25
Moon/Mercury/South Lunar Node conjunction in Aquarius: Before tomorrow’s New Moon, the current SolLunar cycle completes with a flurry of communication, social engagements, collaborating or celebrating with friends/community members. Whenever the Moon and Mercury unite, we are better able to give verbal expression to our feelings. Today they hook up in objective Aquarius, so we are also better able to analyze our murky subconscious feelings. In addition, as Moon aligns with the South Lunar Node, symbolizing the past or what we have completed, some may reconnect with people from days gone by and launch a new phase of relationship.
