Reflecting on last week’s momentous Full Moon in Scorpio~Taurus, I want to share what my beloved friend and sidereal colleague, Nick Anthony Fiorenza wrote about last week’s Full Moon energies: “It may bring awareness to the fact that changing the human condition is accomplished by each of us evolving into our own self-mastery, which then changes the whole of humanity—an inward-outward metamorphic process rather than attempting to change our outer conditions to change ourselves.” So true. Hopefully, you took your own evolutionary leaps toward self-mastery. May you continue to do so with renewed joy and passion.
Reflecting on this coming week, three events are key. It is Summer Solstice in our Northern Hemisphere on June 21 at 4:51 am MST. And all week, Mercury Retrograde and our Sun are closing the gap to create an exact conjunction on Friday, June 20. The power of your thoughts, beliefs, mind-looping tapes are all up for review and refreshing. Don’t allow your mind to abuse or enslave you. Master your mind. A mastermind is a person with outstanding intellect. Master your mind as a tool to liberate you into awakening and enlightenment. That is the true purpose of Mind.

With the serious-minded and reserved Capricorn Moon in square to Saturn in Libra ~ responsibilities to others~ and Venus in Aries ~ individual yearnings ~ you can feel a tad weighed down by all your responsibilities. Make a list and methodically follow through with all the tasks. The Moon’s sextile to Uranus in Pisces lends a fresh breeze of cooperation and support to all negotiations and communications taking place today.

I love the Aquarian Moon when it arrives, like cosmic clockwork, each month, for a two and a half day cycle. I feel we are given glimpses into our future lives by our futures selves. Pay attention to signs, signals, oracles, as the mystery of our great world is always communicating with us. We simply need to trust that truth, and listen. This Aquarian Moon will square Juno in Taurus. This might manifest as a discussion about who will pick up the check at lunch, or something more major may arise, like couples being unclear and combative about how to spend combined resources. Lastly, it’s a dream filled night and tomorrow morning as this expansive Aquarius Moon aligns with Neptune. This energetic always open doors of awakening and insight if you are interested in that kind of magic. From the perspective of sidereal astrology ~ which is the focus of this blog and my website ~ today marks a huge shift as Jupiter enters sidereal Cancer for the coming year. This will pressure and embolden huge global shifts surrounding our role in becoming more responsive and responsible citizens of Earth. Cancer is the ruler of home, and Earth is the ultimate home to all of us. How far we have strayed from that foundational truth. Now we get to all become aboriginal again, but globally connected and contemporary. It will be an exciting time with huge advances surrounding the breakdown of old tribal consciousness that continue to breed fear and war. I am excited. We have our work cut out for us.
Today, miraculously, at the inauguration of this shift, Venus also shifts signs, moving to Taurus, and forms a wonderous sextile to Jupiter. This aspect is nothing but positive. It’s like being in a portal of ecstasy, bathed in cosmic bliss or feeling an unconditional love for all. When the Moon and Chiron conjunct later in the evening, you may have a healing conversation with a friend, or have a moment of feeling like the outsider at the party. Such is the nature of Aquarius, both friendly, and detached, accepting of all, or detached from all. I revel in the paradoxical nature of every astrological sign. Shadow and light. This is the time in the Lunar cycle when you have a sense of wrapping up things you want done by time the next New Moon cycle begins a week from now. Also today, Venus aligns with the star of Algol (linked with old fears) so don’t be surprised if fleeting trepidation arises around money and love. Thankfully, the influence of our compassionate Pisces Moon sextiles Venus. You can quickly shift from old patterns of limitation and fear, and recall the adage and famed book title: Do What You Love and the Money Will Follow. Lastly, Sun and Mercury build to exact conjunction overnight. Anticipate, expect, await an important message to land in your head, in your inbox, in your mailbox, on your phone.

The next two days are extremely important and life-shifting. I’ve said it before, babies born today will be geniuses, meaning whenever Mercury and Sun ~ in Gemini ~ align in exact conjunction, a stroke of genius envelopes you and all. Suddenly you see a new way to solve an old problem. But beware of obsessive thinking. Call upon your mediation tools today to calm excessive mental energy. After today you may feel a MAJOR shift in your ability to communicate what you have been wanting to say, dying to say, yet have been strangely withholding. And this particular conjunction is closely aligned with a point in our zodiac called the Gate of Humanity (my name). This point represents how we bring our highest Self into daily Earthly expression. No more sky high daydreaming, how will you make it happen, here, on Earth, in cohoots with all your compatriots? Exciting! Also, as part of today’s transits, you may experience a wave of unexplainable grief or compassion as the Pisces Moon makes a monthly reunion to Uranus. This aspect cracks open the heart and can make all people better listeners, always a good thing. As the Moon opposes Mars, you may be strongly guided to take actions to heal the underlying causes at the root of the grievances, be that from global causes or personal trauma. And today Chiron, dubbed the Wounded Healer and the Rainbow Bridge, heads into retrograde till November. This aspect indicates we are always involved in improving ourselves, our world, or forever trapped in cycles of suffering. We have become aware of what we need to shift, now we begin that work with more dedication.

It is unimaginable to me that half of 2014 is over. Are you shocked as well? Indeed the acceleration of Time is a reality. Yet here we are, on this holy day of maximum sunshine in our Northern Hemisphere. I am sending prayers and love to our friends in the Southern Hemisphere as they navigate maximum night and going deep within. Today’s astrological configuration holds clues as to the coming three months of how you will be focused. The conjunction of the Moon to South Node in Aries means we will all be pressured and supported in releasing our past stories of self and move toward new alliances. Even though Mercury and Sun form a helpful trine to the North Node ~ future directions ~ Mercury is still in retrograde, which means inward looking and listening will govern our next best steps in the coming months. Honor your Inner Teacher, always guiding you to manifest your highest Self, your greatest joy. This isn’t easy. You will have to make changes you have been avoiding. Yet somehow, you are excited to shift. Right?

Today, Venus makes an annual alignment with Alcyone, the center star of the Pleiades and sacred to the Maya. A major LOVE portal is opening, and you can experience this love on so many levels. So don’t limit it. Just feel this Field of Love further ground-truthing on Earth. And the Aries Moon ~ individual choice ~ is in sextile to Neptune in Aquarius ~ the collective good ~ bodes well for opening, amplifying , enhancing the Love Field on Planet Earth.
