The jubilant Sun/Jupiter conjunction from last week spills over into this week, spawning waves of optimism and new found confidence for many. This may also create an amplification of internal family dynamics, either positive or negative, as these two are aligned in sidereal Cancer. Transits involving Venus are many this week creating a heightened focus on creative expression, money issues, love relationships. And by the end of the week, Mars aspects take center stage, firing up conflicts and confrontations, while also encouraging greater activism about what you care about. This photograph of the unruly, wild, fiery Indian Paintbrush, perhaps my favorite flower, speaks to all of this.

Two planetary bodies are transiting out of one sign and into another today, indicating shifts in regards to where we focus those energies. Mercury ~ ruler of our minds and communications ~ spends its last day in fact-minded, multi-tasking Gemini. Clear out the clutter of the inboxes and outboxes of your life. Juno ~ ruler of our core partnerships ~ spends its last hours in financial, grounded, earthy Taurus. Do stuff together today that supports the solid infrastructure of your shared lives. It’s a great day for a couples massage. The joyful Leo Moon arrives, lasting for the next 60 hours. Today it forms a happy sextile to the forceful Ceres/Vesta/Mars alignment that has kept us all focused for months now on our health, the health of our planet, greater activism aiding children, women, agriculture, our environment. Let’s keep going in making those improvements and shifts in consciousness. This would also be a dynamic day for a ladies (or men’s) luncheon.

Today belongs to Neptune, the planetary guide for our spiritual lives and artistic yearnings, and for our dreams for a better future for all. The Sun forms an awkward quincunx to Neptune. You can become aware of the need to make some kind of adjustment between the needs of the family (Sun in Cancer) and the needs of friends and the larger communities (Neptune in Aquarius). An example might be you think it’s okay to stay in touch with an old beloved but your partner does not feel good about it. Or one partner wants more time at home, the other out socializing with friends. Time to talk openly and make refinements that work for all. And the Leo Moon opposes dreamy Neptune which can make everyone a bit more romantic or prone to fantasy. It’s a highly creative day though so take advantage of this portal. Mercury enters Cancer for the coming weeks. Your daily conversations can become more secretive or private than recent weeks. And, conversely, Juno enters Gemini which will encourage more gab and curiosity between key partnerships, both personal and professional. These are the final 12 hours of the playful exploratory Leo Moon as it closes in on a conjunction with Pallas Athene near midnight and into early tomorrow morning. Palls Athene governs creative intelligence, strategy, seeing patterns. You might get a sudden awareness of how the puzzle pieces fit together in your life in new inspiring ways. Mercury in Cancer in a tense square to to Ceres in Libra surely creates direct, even confrontational conversations within our family groups. The endgame hopefully is finding new avenues for nurturing open positive ways of relating to one another.

Now we enter the Venus stream of aspects in the coming days. Today’s big event is Venus square Uranus. Venus is currently in sidereal Gemini which can create splits in our heart, indecisiveness in terms of which path we should follow, a desire to reignite curiosity in our lives. The square to shocking, surprising Uranus can bring just that: an awakening shock or surprise that knocks you off the fence of indecisiveness or brings an exciting new turn of events into your life. It’s time to leap into the void of infinite creation and trust this leap you are about to make is potentially saving you from a life of boredom, doldrums, stagnation, even disease. Our emotions are a profound important driving force and those are symbolized by that the Moon is doing daily. Today’s Moon in Virgo opens the door to healing unhealed emotional wounds, worrying too much or covering up those wounds by being a workaholic or obsessing on excessive cleansing or cleanliness. Lastly, Mercury square Vesta leads to intensely focused conversations, or it can manifest as an inability to hear the other’s point of view because you are too focused on making your point. Remember to listen, always. Listen.

We have very different currents we are astrologically navigating today. A fabulous grand trine forms today between loving Venus, healing Chiron and wise Saturn. Given yesterday’s breakthroughs that occurred as Venus squared off with Uranus, today you can find a way to manifest a new form for those new directions and breakthroughs that landed at your door. This is might be an odd analogy but here goes: Uranus may have created a break or literally a broken bone in your life, and today’s influence is like the gifted Doctor that stabalizes your fracture, providing sound healing care. It’s like the stabilization we need arrives following the necessary chaos our soul is calling forth at this time. BUT there is this other aspect you have to navigate and it is major. Mars and Jupiter are in an exact, hot, volatile square. Both planets are dynamic, forceful, energetic planetary Beings and both carry the archetype of the warriorress/warrior. This aspect might be in the astrological charts for type A leaders, Olympian athletes, 10 star Generals (if there is such a thing). Be sure to move your body and be ready also for big emotional waves you may have to surf, either within or around you. Steer clear of other people’s battlefields. You have a choice to engage, disengage, or use energetic Aikido to protect both yourself and your attacker. Such is the wisdom of Aikido.

Today Mercury makes a pass to Mars by square and you may experience a sudden outburst of needing to speak your truth NOW. This aspect is also notoroious for road rage and possible car wrecks so be careful in that regard. Also today, we reach the annual Mercury/Jupiter conjunction in sidereal Cancer. This can greatly enhance upbeat family discussions, or bring buried issues to the surface that are ready to see their day in court. And that may literally be true for some. Make plans to spend time with whomever you consider to be your familial beloveds and feel the joy and love of your connection. When the Virgo Moon conjuncts the North Node, a healing crisis may occur. Pay attention today so as not too manifest a future emergency. Listen to and interpret the subtle messages coming to you via your body symptoms.

There’s definitely a fired-up ferocity in the heavenly transits today, leading to important negotiations. The first is a quincunx of Pluto to Sun. This aspect demands we honor the uncomfortableness we might feel around a certain situation, but this geometry can also help us discover the desire to make subtle adjustments to alleviate the underlying tension. The peace-loving harmonious Libra Moon makes important alignments today that might, just might, create ceasefires and new agreements in regards to our many ongoing planetary conflicts. It will align with passionate, combative Mars early in the day, then align with serious, deal-making Saturn by midnight. Never underestimate the power of your prayers for peace in both your personal relationships as well as for all of humanity.
