Full Moon in Virgo/Pisces
“Full Moon ~ Full Sun”
Red alert this week! Not only are we transiting a Full Moon portal, which always brings heightened awareness or conflicts to a head, but we are also navigating one of the fiercest and potentially combative planetary conjunctions, Mars meeting up with Pluto on October 19, in red-hot sidereal Sagittarius. Both planets teach us about our willpower and asks this question: Are we competitive bullies trying to muscle our way over everybody and everything, or, are we following the flow and inspiration of our Divine Will, trusting what is ours will come to us naturally, with both effort and grace? That more expansive sense of our willpower seeks to place us exactly where we need to be, and inspires great courage in the process. With this awareness, we can release unhealthy competition and embrace unique collaborations that honor each person’s unique gifts.
I had an early Full Moon dream last night. I was skiing up the mountain, surrounded by many others finding their own way up the slopes. I looked around as we travelled side by side up the mountain, each person breaking trail in deep snow, and I wondered this: why are we all breaking trail? Why is no one following any one else? That’s when the perfect word of ‘trailblazer’ came into my mind. We are trailblazers, all. We are each blazing our own trails in these tumultuous unpredictable times.
This chaotic historic time of change demands we take time to listen to our higher inner will (what I call Divine Will), that is pulling us, guiding us, encouraging courage ever step of the way. This week we take a big step toward aligning our ‘3D ego will’ with that wiser, higher dimensional Divine Will that sees the bigger picture. Prepare to learn some important lessons about your relationship to your will/willpower, this week. Claim, with enthusiasm, how you are a trailblazing a new life, following your unique desires, passions and pleasures.
Because this week’s Full Moon takes place at the tale end of ‘be unto yourSelf, to thine own Self be true’ Virgo, the illuminations that naturally arise surrounding the Full Moon will be more about an internal knowingness about what is right for you. Then when the Sun steps into Libra on October 17, you are ready to start sharing those ideas, truths, projects with others.

Here is a brief synopsis of the Full Moon characteristics that hold true to every Full Moon from my from my friend and sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza at Lunar Planner.
“The Full Moon marks the point of coition in the lunar cycle, the climax, the point of excitement, a time of celebration. The day just after the Full Moon is a time for the realization of the theme to emerge, of what the activities of the first half of the lunar cycle, culminating into the enthusiasm of the Full Moon, are really about. Relax and allow this realization to occur. There is no need to force it as it surfaces on its own.”
Note: I write my posts according to the Lunar cycles, posting on the New, First Quarter, Full and Third Quarter Moons. If you work with and within the natural flow of time and supportive cosmic energies, your life will flow with more ease and grace. My interpretations and predictions are based on the true sidereal astronomical alignments. You can read about my unique way of interpreting astrology at this link: EarthWord SkyWord sidereal readings. Sat October 15
Full Moon aligned with Uranus: Tonight, the Moon in Pisces aligns with revolutionary, evolutionary Uranus and opposes Sun in Virgo, ensuring that this Full Moon portal will be one of extraordinary awakening, breakthroughs, shocking turning points, and much celebration. You may feel a strong need to break free of the confines you impose upon your self and take a risk. Uranus can manifest as accidents that jolt our bodies/minds/spirits to awakening, so that’s the cautionary note.
Mercury in Virgo square Pluto in Sagittarius: All day long, this aspect provides a probing quality to your mind, as you ask more thoughtful questions of yourself or another. Pluto always takes us deeper, so dive beneath the surface and discover buried treasures.
Sun October 16
Moon/Ceres conjunction in Aries: Keep in mind yesterday’s Full Moon opening is still very much working on you today and tomorrow. Today’s lunar alignment with caregiving, ecological Ceres makes for nurturing conversations, potentially while exercising with another, and can lead to launching new initiatives in your lives. Seek to align your personal desires with the larger emerging dynamic of collaborative efforts in the fields of interest that you care about. Even as we are individual trailblazers, we are in this great moment of awakening, together. What a wondrous, awe-inspiring truth to feel during these troubling times.
Mon October 17
Sun enters Libra: As our life-giving Sun makes an annual entrance into sidereal Libra, our relationships take center stage. If you discovered a new balance to be more centered in YOU in the last month, now you can bring that clarity into all your relations, which will mostly likely result in re-balancing in those relationships. Libra is about balance, justice, fairness, and beauty, so bring more of those qualities in to all your relations.
Moon in Aries trine Mars/Pluto in Sagittarius: As the independent, courageous Moon in Aries makes an upbeat trine to the impending Mars/Pluto explosion tomorrow, you might get a first hint about what awaits you on the coming horizon. Aries is exploratory, bold, and optimistic by nature. This aspect can help you release fear or stubbornness about staying stuck in the past so you can advance.
Venus in Scorpio square Vesta in Cancer: This aspect can lead to discussions about finances in your family relationships. Or making decisions about an upcoming home shift, or a further cleaning out of all the closets, literally and metaphorically.
Tue October 18
Moon in Taurus opposite Venus in Scorpio: Further discussions or decisions about money arise, along with ensuring your personal values are reflected in all earthly decisions you are making. That can be anything from deciding to recycle, eat organic and non-GMO, to divesting from funds that are destroying the health of our planet and citizens. These choices to put your money where your heart is are part of a larger shift that started in May 2000 to 2020 with the last Jupiter/Saturn conjunction. We are realigning our resources towards a future that better nurtures our collective Earth, releasing the dark investments of the past eras of domination.
Wed October 19
Mars/Pluto conjunction in Sagittarius: Wow. The behind-the-scene political strategists must have an astrologer working for them to have chosen today as the last Presidential Debate of 2016. Explosions, implosions and meltdowns are possible and likely, as well as a fierce directness, like a clean-burning, non-wavering flame of truth.
I reiterate what I wrote in this week’s introduction: We are navigating one of the fiercest and most combative planetary conjunctions as Mars meets up with Plut0, in red-hot sidereal Sagittarius. Both planets teach us about our willpower and asks this question: Are we bullies trying to muscle our way over everybody and everything, or, are we following the flow of Divine Will, trusting what is ours will come to us naturally, with both effort and grace? That more expansive sense of our willpower seeks to place us exactly where we need to be, and inspires great courage in the process. With this awareness, we can release unhealthy competition and embrace unique collaborations that honor each person’s divine unique gifts.
This will demand we take time to listen to our higher inner will, what I think of as Divine Will, pulling us, guiding us, encouraging courage ever step of the way. This week we take a big step toward aligning our “3D ego will” with that wiser, higher dimensional Divine Will that sees the bigger picture. Prepare to learn some important lessons about your will/willpower this week. Claim how you are a trailblazing a new life, guided by your desires and passions and pleasures.
Thu October 20
Mercury in Virgo opposite Uranus in Pisces: The mind can spark, sizzle, or feel fried with this electrifying alignment. It can open minds to be more compassionate and helps release the need to judge the other. If you meditate today, you can experience a major satori. Give it a go!
Sun in Libra opposite Ceres in Aries: It’s a perfect day to visit an elder, getting them to move around. Or take a long walk with a good friend and nurture each other with concern and care. This annual opposition also triggers important initiatives in healthcare, environmental causes, and food issues, and helps us move beyond competition and forge trails of cooperation.
Moon in Gemini trine Sun in Libra: The lightness and airiness of this alignment either fans the fires of yesterday’s conflagration, or, brings a return to better communication about what is really going on. It is also socially flirtatious and curious about other’s secrets.
Fri October 21
Moon in Gemini opposite Mars/Pluto in Sagittarius: As we close out this week of dynamic shifts, today’s communicative Moon in Gemini helps us detach from the potential drama of recent days and find words to express our feelings. Gemini can see the world as black and white, or from the lens of infinite curiosity about all of life. Gemini is also investigative, so question others, including yourself, on core beliefs, deep truths, dogmatic stances.
