Full Moon in Leo ~ Aquarius
“Sun Bow” photograph by Lyn Dalebout
~~~~~
This week’s celebratory Full Moon is taking place in sidereal Leo/Aquarius, astrological signs linked to spending time with friends, rediscovering playfulness. As Venus is still in an inward-looking retrograde until April 15, there may be a more subdued quality to this particular Full Moon. Listen to your body’s rhythms about how much you really want to do or what pace is right for you at this time. It’s not a good idea to always push, push, push so hard, and if your being requires more rest or reflection at this time, honor that need.
Also, all week long the Sun is dancing in a threesome (meeting up in an exact conjunction on March 14) with Pallas Athene (associated with our acquired wisdom, strategy, creative intelligence) and Chiron (the wounded mythical Centaur that uses his suffering to help others, offering a miraculous healing bridge). This aspect is excellent for planning, creativity on every level, seeing clearly how the pieces of your life puzzle are surprisingly coming together, which may require letting of what you thought you were planning. Be open to an even better option magically manifesting.
This surprising desert Sunbow greeted me as I was walking and contemplating this week’s Star Signposts (my IPhone photo doesn’t capture the radiant sparkle of it). It’s a fitting oracle given the strong influences of both Aquarius and Chiron this week, both symbolized by the inclusive beauty of rainbows.
Here is a brief synopsis of the Full Moon characteristics that hold true to every Full Moon from my from my friend and sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza at Lunar Planner.
“The Full Moon marks the point of coition in the lunar cycle, the climax, the point of excitement, a time of celebration. The day just after the Full Moon is a time for the realization of the theme to emerge, of what the activities of the first half of the lunar cycle, culminating into the enthusiasm of the Full Moon, are really about. Relax and allow this realization to occur. There is no need to force it as it surfaces on its own.”
Note: I write my posts according to the Lunar cycles, posting on the New, First Quarter, Full and Third Quarter Moons. If you work with and within the natural flow of time and supportive cosmic energies, your life will flow with more ease and grace. My interpretations and predictions are based on the true sidereal astronomical alignments. You can read about my unique way of interpreting astrology at this link: EarthWord SkyWord sidereal readings. Even NASA is onboard now with the sidereal zodiac! And you can always read about my star weather predictions from previous week’s at Star Signposts.
Sun March 12
Full Moon: Moon in sidereal Leo opposite Sun in Aquarius: Remember this is the Full Moon that highlights the radical severances of the Solar Eclipse of February 26. If you keep a journal, re-read your entries of the past couple of weeks. The next couple of days can bring something to fruition in a big way. The signs of Leo and Aquarius are linked to our creative drives, the communities we are part of, the shifts we want to assist and participate in on Earth. Community events will be busy with surprising connections occurring. Be available.
Mercury in Pisces square Saturn in Sagittarius: This aspect can bring a momentary doubt or depression to your plans and dreams. That mood can pass quickly with today’s more jubilant Full Moon energy, if you will let it go.
Moon in Virgo opposite Mercury/Chiron in Pisces: This aspect might bring both a showering release of tears about what you did or didn’t say in the past, while also encouraging you to forgive all parties, including yourself, and find common ground going forward. Virgo and Pisces are about healing in the emotional and physical realms. It’s a good day to seek some healing body/mind/spirit work, too.
Mon March 13
Venus retrograde in Pisces opposite Moon in Virgo: All of yesterday’s influences still working through our lives, and in addition today, this aspect involves looking inward and examining what we both need and want going forward. It can bring workable solutions to relationships.
Tue March 14
Sun/Pallas Athene/Chiron conjunction in Pisces: The flashlight of our Sun shines a light on issues linked to planning, fixing what is broken, being shifted suddenly by dream or out-of-the-blue insight. It’s an excellent day to organize with others, especially focusing on how to evoke and engage people’s feelings so they will take action. Use the power of prayer, visualization and intention to absolutely influence the outcome of a situation.
Venus retrograde in Pisces square Juno in Sagittarius: As both Venus and Juno govern our core partnerships, this may bring temporary stress or a stand-off between partners as everyone seeks to express the contents of their hearts. Use the square aspect to create something together, but also accept you may each have different ways of accomplishing the same goal. This Venus retrograde cycle encourages us all to become better listeners.
Moon/Jupiter retrograde conjunction in Virgo: This monthly enthusiastic meet-up of the emotional Moon with exuberant Jupiter makes for heightened and increased emotional expression and acting out. Virgo’s influence, however, tempers this alignment with caution and discernment, sort of like thinking before you blurt.
Ceres in Aries sextile Neptune in Aquarius: This upbeat sextile creates nurturing experiences between friends, community members. People are prone to share their spiritual selves or offer assistance to someone in need.
Wed March 15
Moon in Libra opposite Mars in Aries: This can create heated conversations or minor frustrations (thanks to Mars) with a partner. One person might seek more togetherness (Libra) while the other needs more independence (Aries). It might be time to ask for help in a situation, or the converse may be true, it might be time to do it on your own.
Thu March 16
Moon in Libra opposite Ceres in Aries: The harmonious, relational Moon in Libra seeks to find activities that nurture adventure and experimentation in relationships. Try a new restaurant, pick a first-time explored trail, sign up for a class exploring a shared interest. It’s a great day to negotiate with your children.
Fri March 17
Sun in Pisces square Saturn in Sagittarius: This tense, challenging, but also creative aspect can pressure you to make a decision, turn a corner and face a new direction, take yourself seriously in some situation by following the lead of your own authority (Saturn’s influence).
Moon in Scorpio trine Sun/Chiron/Pallas Athene: Finances can come up with the monthly Scorpio Moon. The helpful trine can assist you in following or setting in motion a plan. I will repeat what I wrote above: Use the power of prayer, visualization and intention to absolutely influence the outcome of a situation.
Sat March 18
Venus Retrograde/Mercury conjunction in Pisces: This mind-heart, heart-mind melding supports compassionate communications, stunning insights, and the ability to say, at long last, what you have been desiring.
Moon in Scorpio quincunx Mars in Aries: This aspect is almost the exact opposite in tone and energy as the above. Hot-tempered, competitive, independent and pioneering Mars in Aries forms an uncomfortable quincunx to probing, at times, suspicious Moon in Scorpio. This can make for people confronting each other in paranoia, or spark a fierce desire to get to the bottom of something.
Sun March 19
Jupiter retrograde in Virgo square Vesta in Gemini: This important longer-range transit can bring a clarity of focus and determination to move a situation to the next level. It can manifest as both a momentary lack of confidence (Jupiter retrograde). You might also choose leave behind self-doubt and focus on what you want (Vesta’s influence) by turning your mind’s eye in the direction you want to be moving.
Moon in Scorpio trine Uranus in Pisces: Technically, it’s the last day of winter in our Northern Hemisphere. Tomorrow is Spring Equinox at 3:29 am MST. If you can, begin the winter clearing of your yard. Moon trine Uranus encourages you to make plans in the moment and follow your emotional guidance, as both Pisces and Scorpio are in water signs that govern our feelings.
