“Blue Voice of Air” Reliquary from the Neruda Series by Amber Jean
I dedicate this post to Robin Williams, age 63, who passed on today. He brought so much light, joy and grace to our planet, to our humanity. Thank you Robin Williams. May you know great peace as you return to the Light.
I am writing this week’s Star Signposts from the famed elegant lobby of Lake Yellowstone Hotel on the eve of this past weekend’s Super Moon. This has always been my favorite place, for many decades, to experience the illuminating light which comes with each Full Moon. Here, the energies are amplified as this extra giant Moon is reflected and extended upon Lake Yellowstone, an ancient caldera. Given the ferocious intensity of this particular Full Moon, hopefully this won’t be the night the caldera will erupt again after a 600,000+ year hiatus! But the intense and dynamic energy of this Full Moon will continue to erupt in our lives in the coming week.
With the fading influence of Saturn, this week will certainly feel easier than last week. The major outer planetary aspect of the quincunx of Jupiter/Neptune might manifest as a softening in the rigid ideas of how some people continue to see their family/tribe as right and sovereign, and the other as invader/enemy. As citizens of an emerging unified global humanity, our job as citizens of Earth is to tilt our humanity in the direction of peace and acceptance and sharing the Earth with all tribes, all nations, all species. This will come to be, centuries from now. But we can act NOW to move us forward.

The two days following a Full Moon should involve some level of integration in terms of both the gift or challenge you may be facing. So take it easy today, especially if you feel like your nervous systems was fried by the intensity of this recent Full Moon portal, which it probably was. Thankfully this can be a delightful day of connections with an auspicious grand trine in air signs, always great for communicating openly. As the Moon is in Aquarius, you might feel drawn to perceived social outcasts, or just recognize the universality of those feelings within youself. Part of the human condition my friends, and I think it’s a good thing to discover you don’t always fit in with the crowd. With the asteroid of partnership, Juno, in curious Gemini, there may arise the need to explore options in your current core relationships. Or you may be traveling to meet up with a beloved. The third point in the trine is Ceres in Libra, which creates a desire to find ways to be more nurturing in your relationships. The monthly Moon/Neptune conjunction can bring a magical connection into your life or greatly enhance your unrealistic fantasies or hopeful dreaming. Sometimes it’s hard to differentiate between the two when Neptune is at play in the cosmic field.

The planetary ruler of our minds, thoughtful ideas, communications ~ Mercury ~ enters sidereal, artistic playful Leo for the coming weeks. It will be time for creative downloads if you make yourself available to such portals. Today’s Moon/Chiron conjunction always has the potential to pull the scab off an almost healed wound (ouch! don’t do that!). This aspect can also assist you in embracing your vulnerability and rawness….there’s that ole’ human condition again. No need to hide from your feelings. Explore the multi dimensionality of your emotional range today.

Today you might feel tensions arise between family members or professional colleagues due to two heavenly squares. Or hopefully you can use the square energetic to create something together, which is the better way to experience a square. Both squares of Venus/Ceres and Moon/Juno speak to spiffing up home/relationship by creating avenues of expression/projects to benefit greater caregiving to all parties involved. We also have other upbeat aspects in play. Sun trine South Node says build upon past connections to do something in the future. And Venus sextile Pallas Athene ditto’s the above. Let’s create something beautiful together. Our job and joy as citizens of Earth.

Today’s alignments make me feel breakthroughs are possible in long standing stalemates within you and around you. The major news, especially at the global level, is an uncommon quincunx ~ time to make a core adjustment ~ of Jupiter in Cancer to Neptune in Aquarius. Cancer is of our old tribal/familial/familiar alliances and Aquarius is of humanitarian/experimental/universal affiliations. The emotive Moon conjuncts shocking Uranus in compassionate Pisces, and then the South Node: time to willingly release your past and past behaviors. Lastly Mercury conjuncts Regulus (my favorite star as it’s on my Ascendent in my astrological chart) which demands we follow our heart’s directive with absolute courage and integrity. Lies will not stand under this divine portal so time to fess up, if need be, or just feel the joy of knowing you really do know what’s right for you.

I like the energy of today. An emotionally direct Aries Moon is in a helpful trine to Mercury in Leo. This can inspire inspired conversations and ferocious brainstorming. Time to reinvent your self, your ideas, even your wardrobe. This is the day to check in with your financial advisor if you have one as Jupiter in Cancer squares Vesta in Libra. Lastly, the Moon in Aries squaring Venus in Cancer can create a discussion about whether to rest in the known comforts of home tonight or go out and explore the surprising adventures of town.

It’s a warrior kind of day as independent enlightened Aries Moon opposes both fighting passionate Mars and serious authorative Saturn. This whole day carries the possibility of eruptive violence as well as new leadership emerging to guide us through these dark times. And remember you have the responsibility to lead yourself at times through the darkness you may feel within. Use your light saber tools today, if you have them, and if not, go find some. I am talking about meditation, walking on the Earth, yoga, qi gong, aikido,the power of prayer and intention…..the list goes on. Light sabers/life savers all.

It’s a true celestial blessing when, once a year , Jupiter and Venus conjunct to create a giant love portal to sooth our ailing humanity and Earth. You can see it in the hatching dawn today and tomorrow morning so get out of bed and take advantage of this divine blessing, Bask in the predawn presence of universal Love. Call it into your cells, ask it to heal your past and bring great love and creativity to your future life. It’s also the Last Quarter Moon which marks a day for reflecting back upon the last three weeks, and perhaps feeling the urge to bring projects/communications to closure and completion.

“I have experienced spiritual epiphanies while adventuring and living in the mountains. Moments of soul-bearing insight have come to me bereft of pomp…totally unexpected. I want to share those heart-split-wide-open moments and bring a bit of Momma Nature’s grandeur and grace to people. Influenced by Native American feather baskets I saw in the Denver Art Museum a few winters ago, the niches in my recent mini reliquary series are “feathered.” My obsession with old barbwire continues to weave itself into the art along with a life-long fascination with animal skulls. The “Neruda Series” is eighteen sculptures titled with lines from Pablo Neruda’s love poems.
