Mars and Saturn have just gone retrograde, yet enthusiastic Jupiter at last turns forward on March 6 as we begin this dynamic new Sol-Lunar cycle. I am using the word “Fire-walker” for this week’s Star Signposts as this is what my friend and tea wizard DeeElle Bupp of Dragonlady Teas is calling her potent potion for this New Moon. DeeElle and I seem to be on the same wavelength in terms of attuning to information about what the focus of each lunar cycle might bring to our inner and outer worlds. Because our action planet, Mars, has just turned retrograde till May 19, think of the bright fire of your desire and willpower needing to focus more inward. Imagine/visualize all the things you might want to eventually do, but don’t take major actions just yet. This could feel extremely frustrating at times. So another key focus right now should be on how you center and calm yourself moment to moment amidst these turbulent times. Pay more attention to your inner workout than the outer one. Just sit in the sunshine and recharge your batteries, or slow your pace to a saunter. Include and further study activities like meditation, calm stretching, qi gong, yoga, tai chi and reap great rewards in terms of vitality, clarity, health.
Beloved sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza (lunarplanner.com) says it best: “This period of time impels us to get clear upon that which is truly nourishing in our lives, to become clear about that which is relevant in our rapidly changing reality, and to recommit with dedicated focus to our new found clarity of purpose.”

The annual Sun/Chiron conjunction always makes for a magical, mysterious even unnerving day. That’s because the centaur Chiron is considered to be the wounded healer, shaman and artist. Old wounds may rise again to be understood at a whole new level. Chiron also functions like a rainbow bridge to other dimensions. Objects may literally appear or disappear from another time or place, even dimension. In addition, the once-weekly trigger of Moon to the intense square between Jupiter/Uranus/Pluto activates forward momentum in your life. Thankfully with the Moon in Pisces, it becomes easier to be kind toward yourself and others. The more reformist and compassionate elements in our on-going global struggles and awakenings gain strength today.

Another day of catalytic action is in store today as the independent leadership of the Aries Moon aligns with the South Node ~ previous alliances ~ and opposes the ongoing Mars/Vesta/Ceres/North Node ~ future alliances. It might be easier for you to seek help today or break free of the habit of always going it alone. Venus in Capricorn makes a triggering square to this opposition, forcing you to take a stand in terms of where you want eventually to land.

A lovely sky geometry forms in the shape of a celestial boat, able to carry you to destinations of bliss and harmony. There are stimulating sextiles between Jupiter in Gemini ~ extreme curiosity and facing your shadow ~ Pluto in Sagittarius ~ speaking truth to power ~ Chiron in Aquarius ~ community healing ~ and Moon in Aries ~ the emotional courage it takes to launch a new adventure. And as Venus continues to square the Nodal axis of where you came from and where you want to go next, there is further pressure to expand and explore.

Good news to report! Gi-normous optimistic Jupiter turns from it’s retrograde of November 7 2013. Reflect on what was going on in your life way back then. What did you want to set in motion at that time, but then had to patiently get your ducks in a row so you could move forward? This energetic will surely bring even the tiniest good news to you today or you my simply feel the return of a deep internal joy and faith. Today’s lunar opposition to Saturn carries more serious tone. Since both Moon and Saturn are in square to Pallas Athene ~ goddess of strategy and creative wisdom ~ you can also feel quite inspired in terms of making a plan and sticking to it.

Be decisive as it’s this month’s first quarter square of Moon to Sun. The practical, at times, conservative Taurus Moon forms a determined square to the visionary, progressive Aquarian Sun. How can you physically make happen what you imagine is possible? Political progressives and conservatives are potentially butting heads. Pay attention to financial matters today with the helpful trine of Mercury in Capricorn ~ business decisions/contracts ~ to that money-minded Taurus Moon.

When Juno in Pisces ~ the dreams for our marriages/partnerships ~is in an exciting sextile to Venus in Capricorn ~ the structure of our loves and partnerships ~ good energy surrounds alliances of all kinds. And the friendly Gemini Moon will make the once monthly conjunction with hopeful Jupiter tonight. If the skies are clear, be sure to go witness this most beautiful celestial event. This alignment can trigger both bouts of glee or take people over the edge to mania and manic episodes.
