Are you longing for more balance in your life? Chances are it is not coming soon with the arrival of this lopsided New Moon. When many planets are aligned in one area of the heavens, there is a corresponding pull and tug toward some direction and a simultaneous freedom from another. Think of the teeter-totter: if you have been teetering, then this solar/lunar gravity might throw you over the edge.
A good edge hopefully. If you have been awake to your own life vitality, or waking up from a slumber of subliminal drives that puzzle you, this New Moon where the Sun (conscious drives) and Moon (unconscious issues) merge as one force, unseen needs surface illuminating your truest emotions. Either way you may drive/thrive forward into new creative territory.
Most importantly, Vesta, asteroid of focus, safety and sexuality (a complex archetype she is!) is exactly aligned with this lunar cycle, setting in motion a month long process of going for what you want.
Yet in the beginning of this cycle, it is a paradox to feel such a need to DO something on a day when it is not yet clear what the new direction will be (the clarity is more likely to come with the first light of the crescent Moon on Nov 9). I am reminded of the sticker “Jesus is coming: look busy”. We feel the momentous nature of these times, but not always sure how to focus in such chaotic times.

Perhaps this is the lunar cycle in which we come to know.

This New Moon sits in conjunction with the fixed stars of the claws of Scorpio. One claw represents the karma of our past that can keep us trapped in dead scenarios, the other claw represents the dharma of our future where we rewrite our story. This quote is from Nick Anthony Fiorenza (www.lunarplanner.com) and describes accurately how to teeter-totter between the two:
“We must pursue new experience while completing and integrating our past experience. If we do not choose new experiences we stay wallowing in our past patterns. If we remain in denial of our past experience and avoid accepting responsibility for it, our past patterns pull on us relentlessly, making it quite difficult to experience the lives we truly seek. It is through the balance of experience that we free ourselves from our past, or better to say, that fulfills our past.”
If nothing else, use the help of this Vesta fueled lunar cycle (Nov 5-Dec 5) to BE HERE NOW. Focus daily on what’s right in front of you as the dream of your future is presenting itself every single moment. And watch out for new collaborations…. it is not a time to go solo as this new beginning is in sidereal Libra, sign of marriage and lawsuits, lovers and best friends, harmony and resolution of conflict, both inner and outer. Find your soul level colleagues.
This is a month to liberate yourself from the outdated stories of the past and claim what you want your future tale to be.
Harvest Blessings,
Lyn

Thank you Lyn. Takla and I really needed this post.
We are feeling this chaotic urge to KNOW WHAT TO DO!? Struggling to find work, and see our paths clearly or believe in our paths…is hard right now.
But this reading gave leverage to the deep voice inside that keeps saying, “be kind. be patient. be grateful.”
So we take each day as it comes, with each compassionate sunrise we will do our best to live from our joyful center, feel the love that supports us and give it freely, and take each step couragiously towards are future, and gracefully evolve from our past.
