I love this photograph of Timothy Mayo. See how this bird spreads her wings with the eternal grace that defines Swan? Yet also observe how the almost clumsy sprawling feet ground her/bind her to Earth? This most elegant bird of flight so grounded to Earth. I feel a simpatico relationship with this Swan. At times clumsy and grace-filled all at once. She has no problem embodying both. Doesn’t that define our humanity? Clumsy and graceful all at once?

Epiphany
This day, January 6th, is called Epiphany. An epiphany is defined as a moment of sudden revelation or insight. Since I started to consciously honor this holiday~the end of the holy holidays that begin with Winter Solstice~I have been gifted both with insights and concrete gifts~like last year when we received an offer to buy our family home of 53 years~ This is real magic at work if you will believe. On this day all you worked for in the previous year~2011 in this case~will find completion so you can truly move forward into the next creative cycle.

This photograph by David Brookover is entitled “Yugasa”, a Japanese word defining Grace.
~ Notice the large footprint this elegant bird is making upon the Earth~

~~CREDO: a statement or belief that guides one’s actions~~
Here’s mine, written spontaneously for a recent post, without much thought but written from my heart.
~Beauty is not peripheral. It is central to all.
~Remember your vulnerability: sleep under the starry stars as often as possible.
~When all is torn asunder, rebuild, but not the walls that separate you from others.
~Reinstate the arts as central to our children’s education.
~Honor what unites us: heaven above, the common ground of Earth beneath us.
~Eat/live like an animal, lean and green.
~Honor play as much as work.
~Love our beloved Earth everyday, in thought, in word, in deed.

Observe the elegance and powerful grace of this swan captured by Victoria Blumberg
Write your credo~from the spontaneity of your heart~ over this sacred Epiphany 2012. It has immense power to set in motion your personal joy and our shared collective intentions for the coming year.
Please for the sake of yourself and our combined humanity, take time to write your credo from the spontaneity of your heart, as I did mine. You might surprise yourself.
I sense many of our prayers carry a similar hope.
We have lived to tell the stories of our deaths.
We are a reborn species.

~May we live as Swans ever guided by Grace~
~In 2012 may you conduct yourself with elegance~grace~groundedness~
~and at times with a tad of goofiness~
~and most importantly may you honor~value~celebrate~create from all that is unique in you~
~All these attributes in symphony create perfection~

~Unbounded Blessings to you in 2012~
I dedicated this post to Mary Natasha Eleisha Yon, now with us in Spirit, beloved Guide to many of us

A search for clarity,
expanding borders with integral
elasticity
To see, to feel, to undulate
through, to discover, uncover, swim
the glory of original grace
To see, to feel, to breathe in
luxury, exquisite ether, to hold,
transmit as cellular energy
to paint upon translucent canvas
apocryphal etchings, private dreams
Sagacity planted in potent fertility
visions, cantations
The tinsel of starlight;
the subtle scent of conflagrated pain;
the feather touch of eternity.
Let me fall into velvet voice, enchanting form
Move with the rhythm;
caressed within words and worlds’
mysteries.

Eliesha, thanks to you I now honor the Epiphany; Holy Day of my childhood, incorporated into my adult mysticism. Epiphany 2012 celebrate the fear and the freedom of moving into a new consciousness, speaking from the heart, going forward.
