“Hot New Information – Mammoth Yellowstone” photo by Lyn Dalebout
I am writing this draft in one of my lifelong happy places, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. I am ever-still surprised and appreciative of how this land of boiling thunder and rainbowed landscape allows us to witness such deadly beauty in relative safety and proximity. Yellowstone is a place of hot new information pouring forth from Earth’s core, Earth’s ever-evolving presence. I pay attention to this source of information. I am a student of this Source information.
And that’s what this New SolLunar Solar Eclipse Cycle is all about: new inspiration, information, relationships coming to you about future choices and desires. Astrologically that’s because both the Sun and Moon align with the North Lunar Node–your future self–making it a Solar Eclipse, not visible in America, but still felt in our psyches and bone-level knowledge.
They all meet up in astronomical Gemini in a key part of our zodiac. This New Moon is aligned with the star of Polaris, star of ancient wisdom and guidance brought down to Earth in daily actions and activism, and with the Gate of Man of Earth’s Precessional Cross, which emphasizes the greater evolutionary transition occurring now in Earth’s ~25,000-year Precessional Cycle. We are at a great crossroads at this time in history, deciding what we want life on Earth to look like. We all play a part in that decision. Yes, it is that big and its time to fully recognize the immensity of the choices we are facing. How will we proceed to ensure a safe, vibrant healthy world for all?
New Moon is astronomical Gemini from Star Walk 2
This Cycle will bring welcome relief but also further intensity surrounding issues that either keep us polarized or move us toward mediation and integration, bridging divides. It will be a dynamic month ahead for all of us as we go forth with curiosity and youthful vitality that Gemini brings out in us.
There are other key events to be aware of which you can read about in detail below. Neptune turns retrograde on June 22 until November 28. Neptune takes 167 years to make one revolution around the Sun. For many years now—since 2009 through 2024– we have been living through the celestial blessing of Neptune transiting through futuristic, all-tribes-are-One-tribe astronomical Aquarius. This has been a time in which we are planting the seeds for the coming Aquarian age, which is still 400+years away. We are all creating the imaginative matrix for what is possible, what will be, and because you are alive at this time, you are part of this astounding moment of creation on Earth.
Venus turns direct on June 24. Mars squares the Lunar Nodes on June 26. The second transit of the historic Jupiter/Pluto conjunction in astronomical Sagittarius takes place on June 29. A focused Full Moon happens on July 4 and Mercury turns direct on July 12.
Stay steady and committed to your daily practices, my friends, so you can navigate these currents with calm and mastery, at least on certain days!
Readings and Sidereal Mentoring
My posts are based on the sidereal astronomical alignments. As you work with and within the natural flow of time and the supportive cosmic energies that each unique SolLunar Cycle brings, life flows with more ease, grace and understanding.
I highly encourage serious astrology students to subscribe to Nick Anthony Fiorenza’s monthly Lunar Planner. Nick is the expert and his website is a treasure trove of historical and current information and insights.
Thanks for considering a sidereal mini-reading with me for $44 or a longer reading for $88, the numbers of living your Mastery on Earth. In these short readings, I discuss key personal transits that are happening for you in 2020 and beyond. I am also excited to mentor students individually or in families/groups/workshops who want to learn more about how to use sidereal, astronomically correct astrology in their own chart or with their clients. New SolLunar Cycle in sidereal Gemini
“Yellowstone Pools” photo by Lyn Dalebout
Here is a brief synopsis of the New Moon characteristics from my friend/sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza from his LunarPlanner:
“Beginning the Sprouting Phase of the Lunar Cycle, a new theme emerges, a new idea or concept sprouts forth. This is an inner message, an impulse expressing from a field of all possibilities deep within the unconscious mind. The New Moon is a perfect time for meditation to go within self and listen.”
Sat June 20
Summer Solstice–maximun daylight hours in our Northern Hemisphere–occurs today at 3:43 pm MDT. May you feel the strength and power of your own Light to live the joy of your dreams and desires in this potent year of transformation. Be, explore, create. That’s my most recent mantra. Simple and to the point.
New SolLunar Eclipse Cycle in sidereal Gemini: This Cycle is all about new inspiration, information, relationships coming to you about future choices and desires. Astrologically that’s because both the Sun and Moon align with the North Lunar Node–your future self–making it a Solar Eclipse, not visible in America, but still felt in our psyches and bone-level knowledge.
They all meet up in astronomical Gemini in a key part of our zodiac. Yes, it is that big and its time to fully recognize the immensity of the choices we are facing. How will we proceed to ensure a safe, vibrant healthy world for all?
This Cycle will bring welcome relief but also further intensity surrounding issues that either keep us polarized or move us toward mediation and integration, bridging divides. It will be a dynamic month ahead for all of us as we go forth with curiosity and youthful vitality that Gemini brings out in us.
Mars in Pisces sextile Jupiter in Capricorn: This adds a scintillating sparkle to the field of our New Moon. It inspires confident, clear, joyful and decisive activism and leadership in many.
Sun June 21
Jupiter reenters sidereal Sagittarius: This is important as Jupiter made its first Jupiter/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn on April 5-6 launching the recognition that all institutions are up for unprecedented and overdue reform measures. Now Jupiter returns to Sagittarius until November 24, and will make its next conjunction with Pluto on June 29. This will inspire more visionary solutions to solve problems that are now clearly visible for all to see.
Moon/Vesta/Mercury retrograde conjunction in Gemini: This mix makes for a busy mind seeking information from many sources and makes you a multi-tasking wonder if the need be. Gemini loves to travel and scout out new locations so it’s a great day for a road trip or hike with others.
Mon June 22
Neptune in astronomical Aquarius turns retrograde: Neptune takes 167 years to make one revolution around the Sun. For many years now—since 2009 through 2024– we have been living through the celestial blessing of Neptune transiting through futuristic, all-tribes-are-One-tribe Aquarius. This has been a time in which we are planting the seeds for the coming Aquarian age, which is still 400+years away. We are all creating the imaginative matrix for what is possible, what will be, and because you are alive at this time, you are part of this astounding moment of creation on Earth. Yes, take that call to action and responsibility seriously. Channel this divine inspiration into your art forms, your relationships, daily and collective actions. Neptune turns retrograde today until November 28.
Mars in Pisces sextile Pallas Athene in Capricorn: Artists and activists, rise and shine, creatively inspired and motivated. This pairing is excellent for design, organizing, bringing peace and mediation to professional environments. It can help you link your spiritual values with your earthly actions, no matter your profession.
Moon in Gemini opposite Jupiter Pluto in Sagittarius: This talkative monthly opposition sparks greater dialogue for some and amplifies polarization in others.
Tue June 23
Moon in Cancer opposite Saturn in Capricorn: This emotionally serious aspect happens in the morning hours. Focus on family responsibilities, home projects, caring for colleagues. Rather than criticize someone, listen to each other to figure out how things might work better with reform and reinvention.
Moon in Cancer square Uranus in Aries: This aspect happens later in the day and brings more spontaneity or a sudden change of plans. Cancer Moon can make us inward and moody so the tense square to Uranus can trigger an emotional outburst, secrets revealed, a sudden willingness to share what you feel.
Wed June 24
Venus in sidereal Taurus turns direct: Heart-based Venus turns direct near midnight tonight. Venus is now in the morning star phase for the next nine month so look for Her Brightness right before sunrise. Reflect on what has transpired in your life since May 12 when Venus went retrograde. What internal or external shifts occurred? Move forward with more clarity and confidence about emerging creative directions.
Thu June 25
Moon in Leo square Venus in Taurus: The monthly Leo Moon can bring more joy and desire for play into our lives so take advantage of this moment. This creative square encourages you to focus on making something solid, bringing your inspiration to life.
Vesta in Gemini sextile Uranus in Aries: The current transit of focused Vesta in multi-tasking Gemini has allowed us to get lots done in many arenas of life. Uranus encourages experimentation and exploring new options so try something new today. This can also involve romantic desires as Vesta governs the sexual fires.
Fri June 26
Mars in Pisces square Lunar Nodes: When a planet squares the Lunar Nodes, we are being asked to integrate our past and future selves into a new relationship. This also creates a wobble in our cosmic matrix, making it a time of uncertainty or confusion. Mars manifests as warfare, aggression and passionate actions, taking a stand. You may need to make a choice today about where you want to put your energy going forward and things can get a little weird with unbalanced people.
Moon in Leo opposite Ceres in Aquarius sextile Mercury retrograde in Gemini: Use the Leo Moon to share joy and nurture your friendships—Ceres–in a multiplicity of ways including gifting a book or subscription—Mercury in Gemini—or writing thank you notes.
Sat June 27
Moon in Virgo squares the Lunar Nodes: There’s more wobble in our emotional field with this aspect. Thankfully the Virgo Moon does not over react but is discerning, thoughtful, not prone to drama. Take advantage of analyzing where you have been and where you want to go next.
First Quarter Moon
“Rushing Falls in Yellowstone” photo by Lyn Dalebout
Here’s a brief synopsis of the First Quarter Moon characteristics from my friend/sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza from his Lunar Planner:
“The First Quarter Moon of each lunar cycle draws an external stimulus to initiate action as we move from the inspirational quarter of the lunar cycle into the action quarter. This time is stressful or traumatic only if action is ignored. Simply, this phase is a time to work.”
Sun June 28
First Quarter Moon: Moon/Juno in Virgo square Sun in Gemini: Today’s square to the asteroid of key partnerships—Juno–coincides with this action phase of the Moon. This can mean you are embarking on a journey of new partnerships and alliances, romantically, professionally, or a new relationship within yourself as you seek to integrate your multiplicity of desires.
Mercury retrograde/Vesta conjunction in Gemini: Focused mental activity, research, reviewing contracts are part of this dynamic.
Mon June 29
Jupiter/Pluto conjunction in astronomical Sagittarius: This is the second of three conjunctions of these two planetary power players. The first occurred on April 5-6, during the Pause period, and the finale will be November 12, post-American elections. This historic cycle always triggers upheaval and brings necessary changes as some people seek to further consolidate the power the wield and the masses rise up to step into their individual power which sparks emerging social change movements. This middle transit is where we begin to see which way the tide is turning and who will lead the charge going forward. Exciting times, to be sure.
Sun in Gemini square Juno in Virgo: Due to this decision-making square, questions may arise about key partnerships as you reevaluate choices made or you figure out what the next step is.
Moon in Libra square Saturn in Capricorn: Similar to the above aspect, this makes us face reality about partners chosen. Some propose to go deeper or others decide to part ways. Steer clear of being to hard on yourself or punishing your beloveds.
Tue June 30
Sun/Mercury retrograde conjunction in Gemini square Chiron in Pisces sextile Uranus in Aries: The cazimi—exact–conjunction of Sun and Mercury brings laser-like focus to the mind, helping us discern what lies at the core of an issue. Both healing and breakthroughs are possible in our communications and understanding of a situation. Meditate with your depths, too, so you don’t just live via the surface chatter of social media.
Wed July 1
Moon in Scorpio trine Mars in Pisces: Explore emotional depths, work through intimacy issues with ease. It is highly intuitive, and often expresses without words but through touch, deeply connecting in non-verbal ways.
Thu July 2
Moon in Scorpio opposite Venus in Taurus: Focus on finances if need be. Get some deep, restorative bodywork, enjoy passionate encounters, all aspects of the Taurus/Scorpio opposition.
Fri July 3
Moon/South Lunar Node conjunction in Sagittarius: Time to let go of something from your past—South Node—as you embrace an adventurous future—Moon in Sagittarius. Review old photos, deleting the unwanted there is more space for the new.
Jupiter/Pallas Athene conjunction in Sagittarius: This highly creative, design-oriented, politically, strategically-gifted conjunction takes place with the planets in retrograde so review old work, plans, creative projects and see what needs to be omitted and revitalized to make things work even better.
Full Moon in Sagittarius/Gemini
“Holy Yellowstone River” photo by Lyn Dalebout
Here is a brief synopsis of the Full Moon characteristics from my friend and sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza from his Lunar Planner:
“The Full Moon marks the point of coition in the lunar cycle, the climax, the point of excitement, a time of celebration. The day just after the Full Moon is a time for the realization of the theme to emerge, culminating in the enthusiasm of the Full Moon. Relax and allow this realization to occur.”
Sat July 4
Full Moon in sidereal Sagittarius/Gemini: Sun/Vesta conjunction in Gemini opposite Moon in Sagittarius: As America’s birthdays go, this one will be particularly notable in celebrations or outbursts given it is both a Full Moon—amplifying emotions–conjunct Vesta, asteroid of being fiercely dedicated to a cause. Things can get highly polarized—Gemini– or previous adversaries can come together, finding a common higher truth—Sagittarius. Make it a travel day for sure and adventure forth, seeing new sights, expanding your view.
Juno in Virgo opposite Chiron in Pisces: This longer range aspect has been in play all through the spring pause/quarantine and brought healing parting of the ways for some or finding improved ways to relate to others. Today’s completion marks a turning point.
Sun July 5
Moon/Pallas Athene/Jupiter/Pluto conjunction in Sagittarius: This energetic aspect in fiery Sagittarius is athletic and exploratory and freedom seeking. Don’t just work today, play, get out of a rut and explore new physical, intellectual terrain.
Mon July 6
Moon/Saturn conjunction in Capricorn: A serious tone greets us this Monday morning. Capricorn rules both the responsibilities we love, like caring for our children, parents or communities, and the ones we that aren’t pleasant but that are part of being a grownup or aging human, like going to medical appointments or checkups.
Moon in Capricorn trine Venus in Taurus: This aspect which happens in the afternoon brings physical or financial support, like overdue checks arriving in the mail.
Tue July 7 – Wed July 8
Mercury retrograde in Gemini square Mars in Pisces: Tensions and tempers may rise with this square as you boil over—Mars—and express things you have been unwilling to say in the past—Mercury retrograde. Some might experience this dynamic more internally, frustrated with themselves or using negative self-talk. Don’t waste your time with that and vow to do better. You can feel refreshed on the other side of this potent honesty, like energized sunshine that follows a thunderstorm.
Thu July 9
Moon/Ceres conjunction in Aquarius: People tend to connect and collaborate more easily under this monthly alignment. Great day for a lunch with friends or community meetings.
Fri July 10
Venus in Taurus sextile Chiron in Pisces: This aspect brings nurturing and kindness to our world.
Moon/Neptune conjunction in Aquarius: Halt focused work early this Friday so you can harvest the fruits of this celebratory, right-brained, day-dreamy aspect.
Sat July 11
Moon/Mars/Chiron conjunction in Pisces square Mercury retrograde in Gemini: The Moon can re-trigger the intense aspect of July 7-8, so it bears repeating what I said then (although today’s Moon in Pisces can bring forgiveness and tenderness to our relations): Tensions and tempers may rise with this square as you boil over—Mars—and express things you have been unwilling to say in the past—Mercury retrograde. Some might experience this dynamic more internally, frustrated with themselves or using negative self-talk. Don’t waste your time with that and vow to do better. You can feel refreshed on the other side of this potent honesty, like energized sunshine that follows a thunderstorm.
Last Quarter Moon
“Where the River Leads-Grand Canyon of Yellowstone” photo by Lyn Dalebout
Here is a brief synopsis of the Last Quarter Moon characteristics from my friend and sidereal colleague, Nick Anthony Fiorenza from his Lunar Planner:
“This phase completes with our Inner Needs surfacing to consciousness, to become aware of what is important to self and what is not. Changing allows us to spiral to a new octave of experience—one that will eventually sprout in the next lunar cycle to come.”
Sun July 12
Last Quarter Moon: Moon in Pisces square Sun in Gemini: Mercury in Gemini turns direct: This is an auspicious turning point day as Mercury moves forward and we enter the final week of this dynamic SolLunar Cycle. Some may experience a life-changing experience. Moon in Pisces makes us hyper-intuitive and sensitive emotionally so pay attention to where your feelings are guiding you.
Sun in Gemini trine Neptune in Aquarius: This highly social annual trine opens doors easily for making important contacts that may benefit you soon.
Mon July 13
Venus in Taurus trine Juno in Virgo: Positive vibes are the theme of this aspect all with support arriving in practical, grounded ways.
Tue July 14
Sun in Gemini opposite Jupiter in Sagittarius: The annual Sun/Jupiter opposition creates positive, expansive shifts for some, and exaggerated drama for others. Time to take a leap of faith and explore new options if you are bored with your routines.
Mars/Chiron conjunction in sidereal Pisces: This once-every-two-years conjunction is always interesting, even a bit strange like living in an altered reality. Chiron is the shaman who helps us heal in mysterious, unexplainable ways or suddenly opens a door to a new reality in magical ways. This dynamic also speaks to healing the ‘wounded masculine’ and supports men in particular to experience their deeper emotional selves—Pisces—more readily and openly.
Moon/Uranus conjunction in Aries: Ever surprising, suddenly shifting, accident-producing, it’s the Moon/Uranus portal again.
Wed July 15
Sun in Gemini opposite Pluto in Sagittarius: The annual Sun/Pluto opposition can manifest as unforeseen chaos, power struggles, a feeling that the bottom just fell out of your life. It also creates a huge power surge in your physical being lasting all day as you tackle any challenge.
Moon in Aries trine Jupiter/Pluto/Saturn: The free-wheeling, leap-at-the-first-opportunity, Aries Moon, brings alive your exploratory, bolder side, both today and in terms of your longer-range goals.
Thu July 16
Venus in Taurus square Ceres in Aquarius: Band together with community members to solve problems and do projects. An unexpected house expense may appear or you find ways to repair a friendship.
Fri July 17
Moon/Venus conjunction in Taurus: Splurge and beautify your surroundings and luxuriate in wild nature.
Sat July 18
Moon/North Lunar Node/Mercury conjunction in Gemini: All this air energy—the element associated with Gemini—makes for a busy mind, writing, bursts of mental energy to focus on many fronts all at once.
Sun July 19
Mars in Pisces opposite Juno in Virgo: Conflicts in key relationships can come to a head or be resolved. You come to understand that different ways of doing things can create stronger alliances if you let each person be true to themselves.
Tomorrow’s New SolLunar Cycle in sidereal Cancer is exactly opposite serious Saturn which will help us ground in detail and form our recent reinventions of self, livelihoods, relationships.
Blessings for the coming New Moon~
