Full Moon in sidereal Gemini/Sagittarius

With this week’s Full Moon, which stridently coincides with the annual Sun/Pluto opposition, we are launched into a very fiery period that will take us through the end of summer into early September. This Full Moon is embedded within two planetary fields (Mars and Pluto) that are associated with willfulness, combativeness, power grabs. There can be increased edginess all around, with heightened levels of anger, frustration, short tempers as both Sun and Mars are getting nearer and nearer to their annual conjunction on July 26. It is also an exceedingly athletic time for many, with records being shattered. If you recall, I mentioned in previous Star Signposts that we are immersed in a long-range conjunction of Pluto/Juno. This means many are experiencing ‘death’ or deep regeneration in regards to key partnerships. It’s all part of letting go of relationships and behaviors that are completing, preparing us for new alliances by the end of this year.
Find ways to stay cool, like eating more chlorophyll which literally cools the blood (green drinks, salads) or make a daily gallon of cucumber-mint water for your family to sip throughout the day (float thin slices of cucumber with sprigs of refreshing mint, refilling the water throughout the day, but making a fresh batch everyday). Spend extra time near water or doing water sports.
In addition, as Venus is currently transiting sidereal Taurus, it’s a supportive time to focus on finances or set intentions surrounding abundance and love. You will be richly rewarded if you stay positive and directed in your mind’s third eye, steering clear of fear or self doubt.

Full Moon: Sun/Mars in Gemini opposite Pluto/Moon in Sagittarius: This Full Moon is synched up with two planets (Mars and Pluto) associated with willfulness, combativeness, power grabs. There can be increased edginess all around, with heightened levels of anger, frustration, short tempers as well as record-breaking athletic accomplishments. Feelings may be bubbling to the surface that are hard to articulate, given the role of excavating Pluto. Try not to blow up your life, but find a place of witnessing and listening and rock-bottom honesty.
Moon in Sagittarius opposite Mars in Gemini: This aspect is exact on July 9, and can spark emotional outbursts, tense conversations, increased frustrations and flat-out hostility in some people. It’s a good idea to move this energy in physical activity so the eruptions are healthy outbursts.
Mars in Gemini quincunx Saturn in Scorpio: Some astrological aspects scream political intrigue, lies, diversionary tactics, and this is one of them. Both Gemini and Scorpio govern politics, keeping secrets, telling lies and revelatory journalism. Be a discerning news consumer, think for yourself, don’t be duped. It’s our only hope now, citizens trusting their own leadership of heart, and assuming the mantle of their leadership.

Moon/South Lunar Node conjunction in Capricorn: Capricorn governs business, institutions, the logistical aspects of parenting, and taking exquisite care of one’s physical form. Today’s aspect can help you honestly examine past choices in regards to these arenas. Consider what works, what doesn’t work, what could be improved going forward.

Mars enters sidereal Cancer: Some consider this to be a challenging transit for Mars (planet of outgoing action) as it heads into the sign of inward-looking Cancer, once every two years. It demands more honesty on the home front, requiring direct confrontation about what you’ve been avoiding. It’s a great transit to make improvements to land, real estate investments, gardens, and increases the desire to spend time at home with the family.
Venus in Taurus quincunx Juno in Sagittarius: Partnerships of all sorts explore questions of risk versus security. Will it be the same old routine or will you create opportunities for growth and adventure?
Moon/South Node in Aquarius opposite Vesta/North Node in Leo: When the Lunar Nodes are triggered by planetary objects, it seems to mark decisive turning points in our lives. This aspect addresses questions of commitments in friendships, creativity, community involvements, and the influence of dedicated, focused Vesta in Leo encourages confident action steps.

“This phase completes with our Inner Needs surfacing to consciousness, to become aware of what is important to self and what is not. A sense of completion comes forth with a recognition that the past scenario has served its purpose and it is time to leave what is antiquated behind. Knowing now what our Truth is, it is time to consciously live it. Doing so provides a choice for others to also live theirs. Changing allows us to spiral to a new octave of experience—one that will eventually sprout in the next lunar cycle to come.”

Last Quarter Moon: Sun in Gemini square Moon in Pisces: This monthly turning point helps us readjust our focus from where we have been to where we are heading next. You might feel confused by the tug of many choices. The emotional Moon in Pisces feels very differently about something than the analytical Sun in Gemini. Sit with the conundrum for a bit, embracing the totality of your options. Eventually the perfect choice will appear in the upcoming weeks.
