I vacillate these days between praying for a galactic intervention for all of planet Earth, but then accepting the fate of our world is in our hands. The up and down mood swings these days can be gigantic, so I hope you are riding the waves with focus and skill. This week’s star events (Epiphany on January 6 and Mercury going direct on January 9) can help you realize and recognize how to stay balanced and share your gifts in these turbulent times.

First Quarter Moon: Moon/Uranus in Pisces square Sun in Sagittarius: It’s time to take some kind of focused action on whatever has your attention. This aspect helps push through resistance or procrastination, or might manifest as a tense moment alerting you to shifts that are already in the works. Today’s emotive Moon aligns with shocking Uranus in the sign of compassionate Pisces, so there can be a torrential rainfall of emotion going on within and around you. Part of you wants to go back to the comfort of your bed, but the Sun in Sagittarius pushes you out the door to do your part.
Venus/Pallas Athene conjunction in Aquarius: This annual alignment of exceptional creativity is excellent for designing anything, be it a painting, a new life strategy, the structure of a creative partnership, the parameters of an intimate relationship. The nature of Aquarius is shockingly original, often seeks collaboration with others, and is always interested in future trends.
Fri January 6
Epiphany: Moon trine Mercury: Over the years, I have come to honor and celebrate Epiphany, marking the completion of the High HolyDays. On this day, something important might be revealed to you, like having an actual epiphany, which arises from what you have been contemplating at the end of 2016 and the beginning of 2017. Today’s Moon in initiating Aries trine Mercury in Sagittarius supports exciting and sudden insights. If you don’t pay attention, you might miss the gift, so tell the Universe “Show me something magical, or make me aware of what I most desire, if I could have anything I wanted!”. Optimism and possibility rule today.
Sun/Pluto conjunction in Sagittarius: This annual powerhouse and pressured alignment takes place around midnight, while you might already be in bed, not the best aspect for a relaxed sleep. Pluto governs our biological functions and can sometimes lead to a sudden purge, so don’t be surprised if something like that hits you out of the blue. Trust it’s a healthy cleansing of something that needed to be gone.

Moon in Aries trine Sun/Pluto in Sagittarius: The ferocious Sun/Pluto conjunction continues today, which makes everyone either edgy or extremely driven. The helpful addition of today’s spontaneous and athletic Moon in Aries in a cooperative trine to Sun/Pluto creates an energized, exploratory field to play within.
Venus/South Lunar Node conjunction in Aquarius: This aspect can lead to a parting of ways, or a shedding of a layer or skin no longer necessary. Venus is our Goddess of love and beauty, so consider a special spa treat to help you slough off the old, exposing your new self. That’s what I’ll be doing.
Mercury retrograde last day: Mercury turns direct in the early hours of tomorrow morning, making for important messages coming from the dreamtime. Ask and you will receive true and helpful guidance about a choice you need to make or something you want to say or write.
Juno in Scorpio square Chiron in Aquarius: This aspect leads to key shifts/decisions in your core relationships. Juno rules our beloveds and colleagues and Chiron often brings either a healing or a wound that needs to be addressed. You can find the words to express your vulnerability or what you’ve been holding within.
Sun January 8
Mercury turns direct: It’s always a thankful turning point when the planet of communication, Mercury, moves forward again, encouraging clarity and decision-making. Messenger Mercury is closely aligned with the Galactic Heart Center, a place of great wisdom, guidance and cosmic love. We can all use some of that right now. This may be the galactic intervention I am longing for, that each person find their highest place of compassionate wisdom, and live, work, speak, teach, engage from that place.
Mon January 9
Juno in Scorpio sextile Jupiter in Virgo: This aspect bodes well for bringing abundance, confidence, faith into your key relationships. You might hear good news in regards to a financial issues or make a new alliance that brings joy into your life.
Tue January 10
Sun in Sagittarius square Uranus in Pisces: A challenging square to shocking Uranus can lead to sudden events that turn your world upside done, or provide a genuine breakthrough at a whole new level. Accidents are possible as well as startling outages or electrical events. Electricians, be extra careful!
Juno/Saturn conjunction in Scorpio: This is a rare powerhouse of an alignment in regards to our core relationships. It marks the beginning of significant partnerships or the finale of those that have found completion. It’s a day of committing to something you want to see happen in the days and years ahead, so set those intentions today.
Moon in Gemini opposite Mercury in Sagittarius: This highly-talkative aspect can also lead to polarizing discussions of righteous indignation. Visit a bookstore or make travel plans/reservations.
Wed January 11
Sun in Sagittarius square Jupiter in Virgo: This can be a confidence squelcher, so just a warning in case you have a momentary lapse of massive self-doubt. Use this also to push through those doubts by consciously shifting your thought process, stating new affirmations.
Mars in Aquarius sextile Pluto in Sagittarius: This galvanizing alignment between action-oriented Mars to powerhouse Pluto makes you willfully determined in all things, and can lead to a playful battle of the wills between partners or friends.
