New SolLunar cycle in sidereal Libra

While in Yellowstone last week, I started a new poem entitled “The Land Before Snow”. It is a praise poem honoring the deep stillness that settles into the land in late fall. As one walks, sits, ponders, or naps upon this quieting of vegetation, enveloped in the moist breathe of both detritus and pungent pines, one can hear more clearly the roots of things. Stillness and calm infiltrate the nervous system, and calls one home, to one’s Self. Rest and reflection are some of the many gifts of November, in this time before snow.
This New SolLunar cycle, takes place in sidereal Libra, and is also working with the celestial energies of the Southern Cross constellation, whose theme mirrors this settling into our own skins and knowing our true essence. Here is an excerpt from my dear friend and sidereal colleague,Nick Anthony Fiorenza, that encapsulates this month’s New Moon theme:
“The stellar energetic here invites an inward journey to access the cardinality of our souls, our pure soul intent, our original purpose in this incarnation, to become centered and balance in it, and to apply that poise and intent outwardly in our actions and amongst our relations in ways that support us to claim freedom from our patterns of entrapment of the past.”
We will be navigating an historic, tumultuous Presidential Election during this month. While others might be going berserk around you, you can use this celestial New Moon gift, and all of November, to seek tools and find centering within that will keep you safe, clear, directed during these chaotic, polarized times.

Here is a list of New Moon characteristics compliments of my friend/sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza from LunarPlanner:
“Beginning the Sprouting Phase of the Lunar Cycle, a new theme emerges, a new idea or concept sprouts forth. This is an inner message, an impulse expressing from a field of all possibilities deep within the unconscious mind. Often this process is one of discovery, slowly revealing a simple theme over a day or two, or it may be quite clear and specific, even suggesting a major life change. The New Moon is a perfect time for meditation or a quite walk—to go within self and listen.”
Note: I write my posts according to the Lunar cycles, posting on the New, First Quarter, Full and Third Quarter Moons. If you to work with and within these natural flow of time and supportive cosmic energy, your life will flow with more ease and grace. My interpretations and predictions are based on the true sidereal astronomical alignments. Here’s a Star Walk pic of this week’s New SolLunar cycle in sidereal Libra:
Sun October 30
New SolLunar cycle: Sun/Moon/Mercury conjunct in Libra: Today is a busier that usual New Moon. It can seed new ideas for travel, partnerships, educational pursuits or have you thinking about how to restore a severed relationship. That’s because this New SolLunar cycle aligns both the Sun and Moon with Mercury ~ the planetary ruler of communications, travel, intellectual interests. Libra is about longing for peace, making peace, being peace. Libra excels at fair and balanced negotiations, and also rules a desire for justice. The coming month will encourage all those qualities to come forward in our world so life can work better, more fairly, for everyone.
Mon October 31
Mercury in Libra semi-sextile Jupiter in Virgo: This extra-super stimulating aspect heightens those new thoughts/ideas hatched yesterday or in recent weeks. Jupiter overstimulates the mind, so pull back on the caffeine and consider meditation for a change. It will serve you better in the long run to keep your thoughts focused, clear, directed.
Mars enters Capricorn: This important shift will surely lead to outbursts on our national scene as warrior Mars transits ambitious Capricorn. This has a militaristic feel to it and will be influencing the entirety of Earth in the coming weeks. In your personal life, it stimulates your own ambition to accomplish much, or show off your expertise in some arena. Be willing to toot your own horn or claim your own desires in the face of what others desire from you. Remember this months SolLunar theme: access the cardinality of your soul, your pure soul intent, your original purpose in this incarnation.
Tue November 1
Sun in Libra trine Neptune in Aquarius: This lovely social and thoughtful aspect encourages reaching out to a friend to seek and receive guidance on an important issue. It also activates a desire for civility in our social discourse.
Moon/Juno conjunct in Scorpio: Key financial agreements can be forged and signed today and tomorrow. Juno rules core partnerships and lovers, and this monthly alignment sparks intimacy, deeper exploration and thoughtful investigations.
Wed November 2
Moon/Venus/Saturn conjunction in Scorpio: Saturn manifests as closing the deal, ending the relationship, being restrained in some regard, or concretizing the plan. This aspect can lead to both sad endings (meaning it’s time to let go) as well as mysterious new beginnings that are a bit unnerving as you are not sure where the future will take you. This aspect is transitional and transformational.
Mercury in Libra sextile Pluto in Sagittarius: This aspect encourages directness, speaking the truth in a way it will be heard, accepted even embraced by others. It offers an endurance of thinking all day long so you can get a whole lot accomplished today.
Thu November 3
Sun in Libra semi-sextile Jupiter in Virgo: This seems to be the week of the semi-sextile, a fast moving aspect that sparks synchronistic encounters and exciting opportunities you need to seize in the moment, or they will be gone, for now. So pay attention today and see who shows up as a friend or partner in a longer term project or goal you have initiated, or a short-term event like jumping the car, moving a couch, assisting in an errand.
Fri November 4
Venus in Scorpio square Chiron in Aquarius then trine Uranus in Pisces: Venus shows up in our conversations about love, money, self-worth, art, beauty. Early in the day, the square to Chiron might lead to a raw and real conversation, exposing wounds or vulnerabilities. That’s a good thing! Then later in the day, out of that honesty, the helpful trine to Uranus can lead to breakthroughs, healing tears, compassionate solutions.
Sat November 5
Moon/Pluto conjunction in Sagittarius: This is by far the most fiery and conflictual day this week. Moon/Pluto stirs up long-buried emotions, and under the influence of truth-telling, forceful Sagittarius, tensions can quickly rise, out of control. It’s always wise to move your body with extra force, energy, vitality on a day like today to avoid self-imploding.
Moon/Mars conjunction in Capricorn: This aspect hits the world overnight and into tomorrow morning. Literally and metaphorically, it is akin to enforcing martial law, the police trying to control the worked-up masses. Your own emotions might be hard to reign in as well. A more positive way to use this dynamic duo is putting in the long hours to complete a task, or take an activist stand about a continuing injustice.
Sun November 6
Mercury in Libra trine Chiron in Aquarius: Keeping in mind that the combative Moon/Mars conjunction is still in play all day, this aspect brings a desire to seek peace and listen to the other, and can lead to important negotiations.
Sun in Libra semi-sextile Saturn in Scorpio: This leads to bargains for everyone, both buyer and seller. It tends to make people want to make sure a situation is workable for everyone.
