Last Quarter Moon

My post this week is on the mellow abbreviated side, which actually fits with our celestial landscape. The completion energies of the Last Quarter Moon follow on the heels of last week’s challenging Mars/Pluto conjunction (read about it here: Star Signposts) where one of the most notable astrological events of 2016 ignited or blew up your world in surprising, life-changing, even trail-blazing ways. You might make an important decision this week, or require rest and reflective time as you consider an important decision that is pending.

“This phase completes with our Inner Needs surfacing to consciousness, to become aware of what is important to self and what is not. A sense of completion comes forth with a recognition that the past scenario has served its purpose and it is time to leave what is antiquated behind. Changing allows us to spiral to a new octave of experience—one that will eventually sprout in the next lunar cycle to come.”

Last Quarter Moon: Moon/Vesta in Cancer square Sun in Libra: The homebody or interior nature of the Cancer Moon, aligning with focused Vesta, make it a great day for chores around the house, with possible momentary tensions arising between family members, as that’s the nature of the ‘square’ aspect. However the creative tension of the square can also be productive and lead to clarity about making an important decision.

Jupiter in Virgo quincunx Neptune in Aquarius: This rare aspect can mark key turning points in our collective awareness about where we want society to go and grow. The long-range transit of Neptune in sidereal Aquarius calls forth an evolving and developing compassion and acceptance in our humanity. Jupiter, making a year-long transit through sidereal Virgo, presses us to focus on health, service to others, and discovering healing solutions in all arenas of life. The quincunx aspect manifests as the need to make a subtle but necessary adjustment in order to maintain a state of health and happiness. Sit with this question this week as see what comes to you in regards to your personal life and how you wish to help make the world an even more miraculous and sustainable place to inhabit.
Sun in Libra square Vesta in Cancer: Like yesterday’s aspect, this one is good for focusing on house projects or dialoguing about choices and inspirations arising in your key relationships. Also, one partner might want shared time while the other might seek solitude. Don’t take it personally.

Moon in Leo trine Ceres in Aries square Juno in Scorpio: It’s a great day to spruce up your home or love life as the playful and artistic Leo Moon desires to bring beauty and joy to all of life, possibly spending more more money than you think you should.

Venus in Scorpio square Neptune in Aquarius: This aspect encourages you to align your money with your values, which sometimes leads to ‘market corrections’ in our collective financial lives.
Moon conjunct North Lunar Node in Leo opposite Neptune in Aquarius: Take a joyful leap of faith into a new direction or project that is beckoning you as the Moon (what you need) aligns with the North Node (where your future self is guiding you). This aspect encourages everyone to rediscover hidden talents or longings, remembering you are a master manifester in creating the life you want.

Moon in Leo trine Pluto/Mars in Sagittarius: Make part of today a play day and exuberantly move your body. This hot-air aspect can also amp up the need for everyone to tell others what they believe is true.
Thu October 27
Sun/Mercury conjunction in Libra: This fleeting but important alignment leads to sharp mental focus and sheer brilliance in your ability to communicate your ideas to others. In addition, this can lead to important negotiations. It is an aspect of genius.
Fri October 28
Moon/Jupiter conjunction in Virgo: This monthly alignment amplifies our emotions and can lead to both exaggeration or enthusiasm. As Virgo rules serving others, health issues, along with working the long hours, apply the stimulation and optimism of this aspect in whatever has your attention.
Sat October 29
Venus/Saturn in Scorpio: This aspect can lead to endings or the beginning of new commitments in love relationships, or financial and creative partnerships. It is serious in tone, and for some might feel like depression, which just means it’s time to explore something at a deeper level.
