Last Quarter Moon

This week, as we complete the current SolLunar cycle, we are greeted with the upbeat, opportunity-offering Sun/Jupiter conjunction. The actual conjunction takes place on Sunday, September 25, but it is working positively, expansively with us all week long. Keep in mind, Mercury was retrograde most of this SolLunar cycle, and just went direct on September 21. That meant the focus was best used to let go of stuff, ideas, attitudes, completed dreams, or research areas of interest that you want to pursue with anticipation of the forward moving New Moon/SolLunar cycle that begins on September 30. Lastly, Pluto turns direct on September 26 from a long cycle of retrogradation which began April 18.
It’s the last week of my Fall Equinox discounts on all my sidereal astrological readings. Send me an email if you are interested! Thank you.

Here is a description of the qualities of the Last Quarter Moon phase compliments of my friend and sidereal colleague, Nick Anthony Fiorenza at Lunar Planner:
“This phase completes with our Inner Needs surfacing to consciousness, to become aware of what is important to self and what is not. A sense of completion comes forth with a recognition that the past scenario has served its purpose and it is time to leave what is antiquated behind. Knowing now what our Truth is, it is time to consciously live it. Doing so provides a choice for others to also live theirs. Changing allows us to spiral to a new octave of experience—one that will eventually sprout in the next lunar cycle to come.”
Note: I write my posts according to the Lunar cycles, posting on the New, First Quarter, Full and Third Quarter Moons. If you work with and within the natural flow of time, the 13 Moon cycle, your life will flow with more ease and grace. My interpretations and predictions are based on the true sidereal astronomical alignments. Fri September 23
Last Quarter Moon: Moon in Gemini square Sun in Virgo: Appreciate what you accomplished the last 3 weeks (during the Mercury retrograde cycle, and begin to look toward your future fall plans. The nature of today’s, and tomorrow’s, aspect is perfect for multitasking, accomplishing much on many levels. It is especially good for bookkeeping, catching up on correspondences you’ve avoided or delayed, buying and experimenting with healthy food options. Attend to every last detail on your list so you can celebrate tonight with good food (Virgo) and stimulating conversations (Gemini).
Sat September 24
Moon/Vesta in Gemini square Uranus in Pisces: Similar to yesterday, this aspect is perfect for multitasking on many fronts, with increased fervor because Vesta heightens our focus and dedication to the tasks at hand. Uranus’s influence adds some unexpected events or sudden shifting from one thing to another in rapid succession. It’s okay to feel a bit scattered even while you are accomplishing much. Breakthroughs are possible.
Sun September 25
Sun/Jupiter conjunction in Virgo aligned with Zaniah: The annual conjunction of the illuminating Sun with our largest planet, Jupiter, spells expansiveness, abundance, enthusiasm, and evolutionary advancement for many. Sometimes our next step manifests as ‘a good death’, in the sense of spiraling to a new level of awakening and opportunity. Because both planets are aligning with the star of Zaniah (which symbolizes being a purist, or seeking to purify and refine), you can be highly discerning in knowing exactly what it is you want, no compromise. Some of the lessons learned and experienced today are about releasing what has become unhealthy and toxic to us, and Zaniah can manifest as a sudden need purge. This is a turning point kind of day.
Moon in Cancer square Venus in Libra/Ceres in Aries: This aspect is excellent for working on home organization projects, with minor tension creeping in about how parties think something should or shouldn’t be done.
Mon September 26
Pluto turns direct: Always a key shift for our planet when Pluto turns direct. Pluto is the planetary ruler of power/power struggles, shifting foundations, and excavation. It turned retrograde this year on April 18, so you might reflect what was shifting in your life during that time. If you have done the needed excavations, exposes and extractions of what you no longer need to be lugging around, now you will enter a period of new-found energy that comes from carrying a lighter load.
Venus in Libra opposite Ceres in Aries: This relationship aspect seeks to harmonize the independent urges of all parties involved, or encourages taking an independent stand, even if it rocks the boat. Peace-at-any-price never works for the long-term health of a relationship, so speak and live your truth. Honesty is the greatest stabilizer of all in our relationships.
Tue September 27
Mercury in Leo sextile Juno in Libra: This harmonious aspect sparks stimulating, animated conversations and joyous cooperation amongst partners. Beautify where you reside ~ your home, office, youe body.
Moon in Leo trine Ceres in Aries: Find time to play in your day, especially with your kids, if you have them, or with your inner kid, which we all have. Keep it light, fun, silly, relaxed. This is not a day to force your kids to do anything they don’t want to. There will be other days to work.
Wed September 28
Moon in Leo/North Lunar Node opposite Neptune in Aquarius: The theme of fun continues today as the Leo Moon crosses the North Lunar Node of our future selves. Take a creative risk, share social time with friends, work shorter hours, spend time playing in nature, or seek new art.
Vesta enters Cancer: This several week shift will encourage focusing on home projects, your family relationships, delving into your history, all aspects of the sign of Cancer. Expand your skills as a chef, as Cancer also loves to cook and bake, especially sugary or creamy comfort food. Cravings may arise. Consider volunteering some of your time in a caregiving role.
Thu September 29
Moon/Mercury conjunction in Leo: This talkative aspect started last night and continues into the morning hours of today. Your mind is busier than usual working out the creative details of your life, so keep your journal or sketchpad near your bed so you don’t missing incoming inspiration.
Moon in Virgo: This SolLunar cycle ends with the hard-working Virgo Moon, which encourages you to bring things to completion. It’s also a good idea to rest and reflect on the last day of the invisible sliver of the balsamic Moon. Book a healing massage, harvest the garden, nap on the stabilizing and nurturing Earth.
