Full Moon in Cancer/Capricorn
“Presence” painting by Alissa Davies
It’s not easing up, is it? There’s major volatility within us, and throughout every aspect in our transforming world. Tuesday’s Full Moon squares off with unpredictable explosive, Uranus, catalyzing a crescendoing wave of raw, real truth in regards to our relations in families and in the way we would treat other’s families.Witness our volatile on-going discussions of race and religion. Surprises and shocks are sure to follow. (True to the nature of Uranus, I am posting late due to a sudden purging or food poisoning that woke me up at 5 am and left my whole body in electrical aching. Then in Uranian style, cleared as swiftly as it arrived. Really wild and uncomfortable.)
It’s cosmic synchronicity that the Trump-o-thon convention is taking place under this unpredictable Uranian Full Moon. Uranus is the main planet that guides Donald Trump in his natal astrology. As savvy Republican commentator Nicole Wallace says (she was a key strategist for the Bush/Cheney campaign): “Our party is fracturing.” This week, the underlying tensions in the Grand Old Party are coming to clarity, not without some shocks and further exposes.
Thank you again, Alissa Davies. I am posting her work during this entire SolLunar cycle. Please see Alissa’s Artists Statement at the end of this post.

Here is a brief synopsis of the Full Moon characteristics that hold true to every Full Moon from my from my friend and sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza at Lunar Planner.
“The Full Moon marks the point of coition in the lunar cycle, the climax, the point of excitement, a time of celebration. The day just after the Full Moon is a time for the realization of the theme to emerge, of what the activities of the first half of the lunar cycle, culminating into the enthusiasm of the Full Moon, are really about. Relax and allow this realization to occur. There is no need to force it as it surfaces on its own.”
Note: I write my posts according to the Lunar cycles, posting on the New, First Quarter, Full and Third Quarter Moons. If you work with and within the natural flow of time and supportive cosmic energies, your life will flow with more ease and grace. My interpretations and predictions are based on the true sidereal astronomical alignments. Tue July 19
Full Moon in Capricorn/Cancer square Uranus in Aries: This may very well be one of the most shocking, explosive, nerve-wracking Full Moons of 2016, due to the tense square of both Sun and Moon to the ongoing Uranus/Eris conjunction that is manifesting as violence, explosive tempers, surprising events that suddenly shift our focus and consciousness. With the Sun in tribal Cancer and the Moon in authoritarian Capricorn, there can be an increased defensiveness in how we feel other people are treating us.
During this Full Moon portal, over the next 2-3 days, it will be natural to do a deep cleaning and purging in your home or office, or in your beliefs and ideas about business as usual. Uranus brings experimentation and encourages us to try a new tactic if we are stuck in old patterns that no longer work. Don’t just try to fit in. Bring your full authenticity to all your core relations, and encourage others to be just as brave.
Wed July 20
Venus in Cancer trine Saturn in Scorpio: This aspect is a bright spot this week. Venus speaks to our heart’s concerns, our financial choices, our creative and romantic desires. The happy trine to focused Saturn assures us that efforts are being sincerely made to love and genuinely support those we call family and friends. A gift is at hand.
Moon in Capricorn square Juno in Libra and Ceres in Aries: With this tense configuration, you may realize you are stressfully stretched between too many responsibilities and obligations. Maybe it’s time to make choices so that the quality of your relationships are not suffering. Are you doing too much so that you have no time to simple BE together?
Thu July 21
Venus in Cancer quincunx Neptune in Aquarius: This aspect can expose a contrast between one’s tribal, familial affiliations versus dreams for peace and goodness for all humans. This is clearly manifesting in our collective dialogue around race and religious relations. After honesty is expressed, negotiations are possible.
Moon in Aquarius square Mars in Scorpio: There can be a tense confrontation between those in power with those who are bucking tradition and are seeking a more futuristic, inclusive way of relating to one another.
Fri July 22
Moon/Pallas Athene/Neptune conjunction in Aquarius: This collaborative aspect makes us feel optimistic that if we team up and focus our never-ending imaginative capacities through shared community actions, we can fix a broken and hurting world. Feel possibility restored today.
Moon triggers Saturn/Neptune square: With this on-going historic square between re-imagining Neptune to realistic Saturn, we are letting go of old dreams and ideals and embracing new possibilities. Today’s futuristic Aquarian Moon encourages you to examine that question in your own life and discover a new path forward through your current struggles and challenges.
Sat July 23
Sun in Cancer square Ceres in Aries: Things come to a head in regards to issues linked to the dwarf planet Ceres, ruler of environmental concerns, food sources, caring for women, children, animals, and can lead to decisive activism. It’s a perfect day to bring a greater level of ‘green’ living in your home and family.
Moon/Chiron conjunction trine Mars in Scorpio: This aspect can bring forth emotional clearings (happy tears) and a desire to take action to help someone who is suffering and could use a helping hand. Or you are the recipient of helping hand.
Sun July 24
Moon in Pisces trine Sun in Cancer: This monthly collaboration brings a temporary sense of calm and relaxation. Seek out water environments to enhance this celestial gift and share nurturing connectivity with all your relations, including pets and nature spirits.
Venus in Cancer quincunx Pluto in Sagittarius: You may experience a conflicting desire between the comforts of staying home or the adventure of traveling afar. Maybe you will do both today.
Mon July 25
Moon in Pisces square Pluto in Sagittarius: Emotions of sadness, grief, loss, compassion meet up with our desire to DO SOMETHING. Pluto peels back all facades, and helps expose our deepest truths and desires. Just ride this next wave of meltdown with acceptance, knowing that these times are cleansing us to the very core of each cell, and all the subconscious memories we hold.
Moon/Uranus conjunction in Pisces: This aspect happens around midnight, increasing possible anxiety, unsettled sleep, erratic nighttime behaviors.

Here is Alissa Davies’s Artist Statement: “Motherhood is an electrifying journey. It is more complex and richly layered in a myriad of emotions than I ever imagined it would be. Being a mother has enriched my art with a greater need to create and get closer to a more primal source. My work emerges from an intuitive place, while intermingling with my knowledge of color theory, composition, and painting techniques. Working large forces me to dance with the paint and allow images to emerge as needed. Finding flow is what my creative process is based in, while paying homage to painting “rules” that make a piece interesting to a viewers eye. I am interested in the interplay of form and the harmony of colors, while being true to the organic forming of shapes and textures as the painting progresses. Through my work, I strive to bring light to the fact that motherhood is not always a Hallmark experience; that joy, wonder, and love are woven together with hardships, sacrifice, and sadness.”
