First Quarter Moon

This week’s aspects include many overlapping squares involving family and relationship transits. The notion of family includes the tribal and racial affiliations we have in regards to groups and organizations we seek out. Given the violent way last week’s Sun/Mercury opposite Pluto played out in America, will we become more polarized in our actions or find ways to bridge our ‘family’ differences? In the end, it comes down to each individual choosing to embody ancient fear and hatred of others, or cultivate love and compassion for all of creation. This is a major theme for Part II of 2016, our upcoming elections, and beyond.
The First Quarter Moon of each SolLunar cycle initiates a desire, or pressures you, to move forward. This is the first ‘First Quarter Moon’ after Summer Solstice (Part II of 2016 has begun), setting in motion actions to fulfill the optimistic dreams you have been envisioning since the first of this year. Now that the deepest cleaning and clearing of the very challenging Mars retrograde is complete (since it went direct June 29), you will begin to sense more clearly the path ahead, one intuitive step or leap at a time.

As the Sun is in Gemini for five more days, gobble up information that helps you make wise decisions. The emotional, motivating Moon is in hard-working, health-minded Virgo, helping you discern the best path forward the will uniquely work for you.
Mercury in Cancer trine Chiron in Uranus: Surely this will bring about healing conversations and thoughts of forgiveness, especially in regards to all you consider to be family members. Taking time to contemplate/meditate will feel especially calming and centering today. Don’t rush through. Savor the slowing down of, even exiting, time when we genuinely quiet our minds and listen to the many other forces at play in our lives. We are literally traversing a new, emerging quantum field on Earth, and some of you are more sensitive to feeling this than others. Be a pioneer, and explore these ever-evolving realms of consciousness.

Be willing to collaborate/create with someone brand new to your world. As Juno rules our committed relationships, it’s a great day to surprise (Uranus’s influence) your beloved with an unexpected gift.

Mercury in Cancer square Ceres/Juno: This aspect occurs the next two days. It will bring to a head underlying conflicts in marriages and partnerships, in parenting styles, and other close relationships. Wondering if you are living in the right place or longing for a new home can arise. Sudden decisions or clarity about how to proceed can occur.

Moon/Mars conjunction in Scorpio: The Moon, which tracks our monthly emotional wave, aligns with Mars in sidereal Scorpio. Feelings of edginess, anger, aggression, depression, directness, and a desire to be super-driven are all possible. A helpful trine to the Sun in curious Gemini can soften these intense affects, especially if we choose to be curious about another’s point of view.

We are never alone, providing we reach out to others. Today’s gibbous Moon is delving and mysterious as it aligns with Saturn in Scorpio, sparking deeper intimacy with others and your self. Examine habits of paranoia, attachment or desire to control another. Clear out those behavioral closets.
