Full Moon in Sagittarius/Gemini
“Canyon Light” painting by Dave McNally
Monday’s mega-astrological events mark a key turning point in 2016. Even as we reach this point of greatest sunlight in our Northern Hemisphere, it signals a moment, astrologically, of emerging from a six-month period that has been more about darkness and depth. So many astrological events in the last six months have required some of the deepest probing, purging, relinquishing and releasing of what no longer serves our truest selves. We also witness this challenge playing out in collective events as well, such as our current election cycle, or the terrible tragedy that occurred a week ago in Orlando, Florida. May there be solace and global support to everyone this tragedy continues to touch.
Good news comes with this week’s transits, which support cherishing and valuing the unique Light we each bring to our world. Valuing and honoring your self will only increase abundance, love, and creative joy in your life. May you celebrate Summer Solstice with ceremonies of gratitude for all of it, the light, the dark and the great in-betweens.
Just a reminder: My Summer Solstice discounts on all my readings are almost over at the end of June, as well as mini-sessions to aid you in navigating this challenging Mars retrograde. Send me an email if you are interested. Thank you!
Thank you, Dave, for allowing me to share this painting. You possess an extraordinary talent for capturing the magic of light. Here is a brief synopsis of the Full Moon characteristics that hold true to every Full Moon from my from my friend and sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza at Lunar Planner.
“The Full Moon marks the point of coition in the lunar cycle, the climax, the point of excitement, a time of celebration. The day just after the Full Moon is a time for the realization of the theme to emerge, of what the activities of the first half of the lunar cycle, culminating into the enthusiasm of the Full Moon, are really about. Relax and allow this realization to occur. There is no need to force it as it surfaces on its own.”
Please note: I make my posts according to the Lunar cycles, posting on the New, First Quarter, Full and Third Quarter Moons. I seek to support you in working with and within the natural flow of time and energy, which will help your life flow with more ease and grace. Also, I base my interpretations and predictions on the true sidereal astronomical alignments. You can read about my unique way of interpreting astrology at this link: Sidereal Astrology.

Mon June 20
Summer Solstice: This turn-around point of our life-giving Sun occurs on June 20 at 4:34 PM MDT in the Northern Hemisphere of Earth. We now enter the harvest period of 2016 which completes at Winter Solstice. Utilize the divine energies of this moment to support you in manifesting your dreams. Listen, attune, ask, vow, intend, and it will be so. And this year’s Summer Solstice is sharing the spotlight with other major celestial events, making it extra-extra, super-duper special and powerful! Read on~
Full Moon: Our Sun is transiting gregarious, curious, travel-loving Gemini, and that means the fully illuminated Moon will transit the opposing sign of truth-seeking, adventurous Sagittarius. All this makes for a desire to courageously explore new terrain, be that an idea, a book, a class, a language, a land, a relationship. And as Venus is also activated by the Moon, our hearts are also feeling more courageous to begin anew.
Jupiter/North Lunar Node completion: As an astrologer, this event is actually more significant that the ones above. If you have been reading my posts, all year long I have waxed optimistically about the historic, positive nature of this alignment. Just to remind you, it means this: Jupiter is optimistic, expansive, confident and as it transits Leo once every twelve years, every one of us is given a chance to recreate our lives with more joy, play, creativity, faith. In addition, the alignment with the North Lunar Node, symbolizing our future directions, goals, dreams, means the pressure is on to not dilly-dally in the past but boldly step forward with courage and heart. That’s big medicine.
The stunning timing of this central event of 2016 with both Summer Solstice and Full Moon makes me think Jupiter itself, true to style, knew how to increase the drama and possibility of our planetary awakening with divine, perfect timing. Bravo, Jupiter, I give you a standing ovation, and thank you for all the ways I feel your expansive pressure to evolve and move forward. Yes, I talk to the planets. You can, too!
Mercury in Taurus opposite Saturn in Scorpio square Neptune in Aquarius: Lastly, but also importantly, Mercury, the Messenger, triggers the historic Saturn square Neptune. I repeat what I wrote above: Optimists and pessimists square off and challenge each other’s world views with this aspect. The hopeful visionaries are especially fired up. Team up with like-minded colleagues to solve a problem in need of a solution. Channel the power of our collective imaginations to uplift and guide our world, appreciating the diversity of the human race along the way.
Tue June 21
Moon/Pluto conjunction in Sagittarius trine Jupiter/North Lunar Node in Leo: The tone of this aspect is intense, driven, and obsessive, driving you toward exuberance or excess, or a bit of both. Channel the force of this through movement, creative expression or just a determined will to get stuff done. Taking a risk is easier today.
Wed June 22
Mercury/Vesta conjunction in Taurus: Use this pin-point focused dynamic to pay attention to your finances, building projects, health goals with increased dedication. Discover how a steady, daily physical routine goes a long way to stabilize your mind. Bankers, stock brokers and real estate agents will see big shifts today.
Thu June 23
Venus in Gemini trine Pallas Athene in Aquarius: This intensely collaborative aspect brings together unusual partnerships or eye-opening conversations with someone who has a different point of view. It’s a day of maximized curiosity, so investigate, explore, and become like a wide-eyed child and traveler again. Take the road less travelled.
Fri June 24
Moon in Aquarius: The friendship, community minded Aquarius Moon arrives in time for the coming weekend. Doing things with friends, in a group, or for a caring cause are all part of Aquarius’s gifts. The complex archetype of Aquarius, the Waterman, also manifests as wanting to stand apart, experience a bout of social anxiety or a desire to retreat from crowds. It’s perfect for observing and analyzing the complexity of human behaviors. Show up at that art opening, and either observe from the edges, or dive in.
Sat June 25
Moon in Aquarius trine Sun/Venus in Gemini: This is a super-social, flirtatious aspect. Many will converse with whomever wants to talk or will listen to their diatribe. And it also makes it easy and guilt-free to walk away from someone who is boring you to find a more interesting, intriguing conversational partner.
Moon/Neptune in Aquarius square Saturn in Scorpio: I repeat what I wrote in June 20’s post: Optimists and pessimists square off and challenge each other’s world views with this aspect. The hopeful visionaries are especially fired up. Team up with like-minded colleagues to solve a problem in need of a solution. Channel the power of our collective imaginations to uplift and guide our world, appreciating the diversity of the human race along the way.
Sun June 26
Mercury enters sidereal Gemini: Mercury, our planetary ruler of thinking, ideas, technology, communication systems, enters it’s home sign of Gemini, which also rules those above arenas, so it’s like a double-whammy of all of the above. During this several-week transit, explore, learn, study anything and everything. Bounce around, don’t worry if people call you scattered. If they do, tell them: “I am not scattered. I am a multi-dimensional manifester. I can multi-task and create on many fronts at once. Leave me be.”
Moon/Chiron conjunction in Pisces: This monthly alignment is hyper-intuitive and emotional, especially in regards to feelings of compassion, grief, a healing meltdown. You might also have a deep desire to lie down quietly by some beautiful body of water and just be.
