Full Moon in Aries
“The Milky Way over the Grand Tetons, Wyoming” photograph by R.J. Walter
This week we will experience a very dynamic cycle, beginning with the energized, independent, activating Aries Full Moon on Tuesday and completing with the important conjunction of Mars/Venus on Monday, bringing to completion an important envisioning period that began in late August/early September.
I see myself as a reporter of the cosmic news. I want to support you in your attuning to the bigger picture, the longer view, as a way of finding meaning and creating context for the unfolding events in your life. We all lead extraordinary lives, sometimes full of drama, other times resting in relative peace and calm, often just engaged in the wonder and beauty of our daily days. I have some good news to report: the completion of the Jupiter/Venus/Mars conjunction in sidereal Leo. I find it extremely interesting that part of the sky teachings of 2015 involved going through more of a death cycle in the summer, and now as we head into the harvest of autumn, are are about to experience a rebirth/resurrection cycle.
Here’s how this astronomical cycle played itself out this summer. Venus is our planetary ruler of love, beauty, creativity in general, personal finance, self care. Remember how in late June and throughout July, we were seeing the beautiful Jupiter/ Venus conjunction just after sunset? Venus was in her Evening Star mode at that point. They were uniting in sidereal Cancer, which is a sign that is often tied to our family history, our own historical timeline, our Elders. Chances are, in the spring and summer, you experienced the passing of some of your Elders and guides, and also changed up your role in your familial relationships, revisiting your history, releasing your past, appreciating where you came from, being grateful you could let go of some old conditioning or way of being that no longer serves you and those around you.
Then Venus went retrograde late July till early September, then re-emerged as the Morning Star during this autumn cycle. In early October, Venus left Cancer and entered creative, joyful Leo, hooking up again with Jupiter and also Mars. This dynamic trio has been visible in the early dawn hours for a month now. They have been transiting the astronomical constellation of Leo, which is all about living the joy, sensuality, playfulness, creativity that naturally wants to erupt from each and every one of us. Leo is the living truth that we are meant to take charge of creating the life we truly want, and coaches us to know we have the power to do just that IF we will use the tools of manifestation we’ve been given by the divine Mystery that lives in the center of our Being.
Here’s the last part of this miraculous unfolding starry story: When Venus meets up with Mars on Monday, November 2, they will unite in the last degree of sidereal Leo, indicating the completion of the creative envisioning process of the summer, early autumn. Then both of Mars and Venus (this the miraculous part!) swiftly shift into Virgo, an astrological sign associated with doing the hard work and energetic service it takes to make our personal and collective dreams a reality. We’ve all been working on deciding what to do, now we become more the doers. This energy will support much manifestation in your life in the coming months.

Here is a brief synopsis of Full Moon characteristics that hold true to every Full Moon. Thanks again, Nick Anthony Fiorenza ~ lunarplanner ~
“The Full Moon marks the point of coition in the lunar cycle, the climax, the point of excitement, a time of celebration. The day just after the Full Moon is a time for the realization of the theme to emerge, of what the activities of the first half of the lunar cycle, culminating into the enthusiasm of the Full Moon, are really about. Relax and allow this realization to occur. There is no need to force it as it surfaces on its own.”
Please note: I make my posts according to the Lunar cycles, posting on the New, First Quarter, Full and Third Quarter Moons. I seek to support you in working with and within the natural flow of time and energy, which will help your life flow with more ease and grace. Also, I base my interpretations and predictions on the true sidereal astronomical alignments. Here you can see our Full Moon entering the determined and pioneering energy of sidereal Aries (from StarWalk).
Tue October 27
Full Moon ~ Sun in Libra opposite Moon in Aries: As you can see in the visual star photograph above, this Full Moon is transiting through independent, determined, head-strong Aries. This aspect is great for initiating new trends in your life, yet it can also be very impatient and impetuous, taking action before you really have thought something through. I imagine a number of accidents might be happening in our world with this Full Moon, as well as the launching of new initiatives. Feel yourself as that energized focused Ram, pushing through piling-up tasks or old stagnation and doubt.
Moon in Aries trine Pluto in Sagittarius: The Moon’s supportive trine to power-packed Pluto supports the above message of strength and will to accomplish what needs to be done. Excellent day for more extreme athletic endeavors as well.
Wed October 28
Moon in Aries trine Jupiter/Venus/Mars: Keep in mind, the day after a Full Moon, we are still deeply experiencing the releases and awakenings each Full Moon brings to our Earth. Keep listening, keep paying attention, keep celebrating, all part of the Full Moon dynamic. Today the Moon in Aries makes a spectacular supportive trine to the Jupiter/Mars/Venus portal in Leo. Remember we are still in the creative envisioning period so use this week to explore and research options.
Thu October 29
Moon in Taurus square Neptune opposite Saturn in Scorpio: Notice I haven’t talked about Saturn much of late? Maybe that brings a sense of relief to many of you! We’ve been experiencing the more upbeat, expansive energy of Jupiter. But today, the more restrictive, even pessimistic energy of Saturn might need to take hold for a bit. This might manifest as the question of how to finance a project or upcoming trip. It’s about also being realistic (Saturn) about your dream (Neptune). This can feel like that moment when you are involved in painting a painting, writing a poem, cooking a meal, where you feel everything sucks and is stupid. We all know that feeling. It is an intimate part of the creative process, and you will move through it, refining your creation in the process.
Pallas Athene in Sagittarius square Vesta in Pisces: Pallas Athene represents wisdom, strategy and what is generally called ‘creative intelligence’. Vesta shows up as a focused dedication to a cause or in a certain arena. The square symbolizes decisions need to be made, work needs to be done to move forward. So in general, today is about getting serious, completing the tasks that currently have your attention.
Fri October 30
Moon in Taurus square Jupiter/Venus/Mars: Today’s financial, security-oriented Moon in Taurus continues yesterday’s theme of how to fund your dream. Steer clear of fear and hoarding, Taurus’s dark sides, and use the determination and stubbornness of Taurus’s horns to plow those fears into the ground where they are lovingly composted back into the Earth to eventually re-emerge into fresh vegetation.
Sun in Libra trine Neptune in Aquarius: This upbeat aspect happens once a year. Our harmony-seeking, beauty-loving Sun in Libra makes a waning trine to spiritual, artistic, compassionate Neptune in community-minded, revolutionary Aquarius. Spend time with community members and friends that share your interests, or reach out to those with different views. It’s easier to find common, universal ground today.
Sat October 31
Grand Trine: Moon in Gemini ~ Sun in Libra ~ Neptune in Aquarius: This energy builds upon yesterday’s forecast and today Luna joins the mix in curious, mercurial Gemini, forming the flowing, grand trine, one of astrology’s most grace-filled aspects. Gemini loves to take short journeys, read, multitask, gab. What a wonderful energy this will be for those of you who celebrate Halloween.
For those of you who don’t know this, this day is actually an Earthly HolyDay. It is called a cross-quarter holiday and it honors the astronomical fact that our Sun sits halfway between Autumnal Equinox and Winter Solstice. There can be a turning point kind of feel with this energy. Time to embrace the dark of yourself, or enter this darkest time of year (for our Northern Hemisphere) with consciousness and gratitude.
Sun November 1
Pallas Athene squares the Lunar Nodes: Keeping in mind what I wrote in my introduction about tomorrow, this aspect also carries a turning point kind of energy. This is All Souls Day, the Day of the Dead, and it is particularly fitting this year given the completions we experienced with our ancestors, Elders, etc. As wise Pallas Athene makes a square to the Lunar Nodes, we can integrating our past and future longings, as well as strategize our next moves.
Mon November 2
Venus/Mars conjunction: Please re-read my introduction to fully appreciate the momentousness of today’s transit. In addition, whenever we have a fusion of Venus ~ what you want ~ with Mars ~ taking action ~ you can experience a profound integration and fusion of those two parts of yourself. And I am re-posting this part into today’s post:
“Here’s the last part of this miraculous unfolding starry story: When Venus meets up with Mars on Monday, November 2, they will unite in the last degree of sidereal Leo, indicating the completion of the creative envisioning process of the summer, early autumn. Then both of Mars and Venus (this the miraculous part!) swiftly shift into Virgo, an astrological sign associated with doing the hard work and energetic service it takes to make our personal and collective dreams a reality. We’ve all been working on deciding what to do, now we become more the doers. This energy will support much manifestation in your life in the coming months.”
Moon in Cancer square Mercury in Libra: The secretive, moody Cancer Moon makes a challenging square to open-minded, relational Mercury in Libra, stimulating tugs and pulls in our communications with key partners, hopefully while speaking honestly about each person’s needs.
