Thank you Melissa for this inspiring night sky portrait. It’s a fitting image for the potentially exciting week that lies ahead with Mercury turning direct again, a rare energizing Jupiter/Pluto trine, and our Sun squaring transformational Pluto and opposing revolutionary Uranus. It’s sure to be a week of following up and finishing a multitude of tasks so you can embark on a new adventure, refreshed/reset, as we all collectively enter next week’s New SolLunar cycle.

Here is a description of the qualities of the Last Quarter Moon phase compliments of my friend and sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza at lunarplanner:
“This phase completes with our Inner Needs surfacing to consciousness, to become aware of what is important to self and what is not. A sense of completion comes forth with a recognition that the past scenario has served its purpose and it is time to leave what is antiquated behind. Essentially a lesser self is what we will be shedding. Step forth from old facades, and free yourself from past ways of participating in life. Knowing now what our Truth is, it is time to consciously live it. Doing so provides a choice for others to also live theirs. This ensures your day might be about getting down to business or just intense busyness, or extended conversations going longer than you expected.

Moon in Cancer opposite Ceres in Capricorn: Midday, the Moon will depart the outward sociality of Gemini and enter more interior Cancer. This shift might bring up the desire to leave work early and head home to the comforts of your nest, Cancer’s domain. Whenever the Moon makes the monthly transit through Cancer, home cooking, sharing a secret with someone your trust, snuggling with your beloved pet or partner or favorite book are all favored activities. Time to refresh in your nest.

Sun in Virgo square Pluto in Sagittarius: There is a potential today for power struggles, empowerment issues, sudden toxic clearing in your body in the form of stomach upset or a quickly developing cold. Pluto rules our relationship to power and often guides what’s happening to us at the biological level. A day of intensity is in store. Ride the wave of Plutonian change, which always has our best interests at heart, but oftentimes feels a bit fierce and often terribly uncomfortable.
Mars in Leo opposite Neptune in Aquarius: This highly creative aspect ensures your current passions might get a well-deserved supportive helping hand arising in a magical way, be that an internal inspiration from your own muse or guardian angel, or outward support from an earthly compatriot. Sadly, this aspect can manifest as the less evolved of our species declaring holy warfare. May the wise, compassionate deities, angels, guides keep offering their protection, guidance, and upliftment to we humans during these trying times as we continue to evolve to become more like them in thoughts, words, deeds.

Venus aligns with Regulus, heart of Leo the Lion: Wake yourself up by 5 am to witness the sparkling beauty of Venus rising. In addition, attune and mediate and absorb this wondrous sky alignment of love, integrity, holy joy, sacred courage. That’s how I experience this energy which happens once a year. Regulus is considered to be a truly regal star that assists us, guides us to align our heart’s true calling with our actions here on Earth. How I wish this star portal weren’t so fleeting….but I will gratefully soak up every hour of this divine alignment and carry it’s inspiration and support with me into the coming year.

Mercury in retrograde conjunct North Node in Virgo: Greater mental clarity about your future directions, goals, desires can arrive today especially if you give yourself time for introspection, journal writing, meditation, all activities supported by the retrograde, inward-looking cycle. If you are researching new purchases, career directions, health options, as part of this cycle, which is often the case, you might actually make your choice today, or in the next two days as Mercury hovers and recrosses the North Node on October 10.
Leo Moon conjunction Venus/Regulus: Now the emotive Moon joins Venus and Regulus, continuing to insist we live a life of integrity, Regulus’s core teaching. This alignment will only increase the joy vibration on the planet, in your life, if you choose to see life in all it’s wondrous possibilities despite all the current challenges. May you experience your own version of this, through the delight of watching your children, the antics of a beloved pet, the unfurling beauty of flowers. There so many, many endless ways to experience beauty every day.

Moon in Leo conjunct Mars/Jupiter: It’s a festive Friday for sure with this triad of planetary players teaming up with energy, joy, passion, optimism. Things can also get quite exaggerated, with over the top enthusiasm, like the zealous athlete that pushes farther than their current state of ability. But hey, sometimes that’s what it takes to know one’s limits while continuing to take impossible leaps of faith.

Greater mental clarity about your future directions, goals, desires can arrive today. If you have researched new purchases as part of this cycle, you might actually make the purchase today. A profound clarity of thought can surface today. Remember the potency of aligning your thoughts with your words with your deeds. The key to sure-fired success.
Venus in Leo square Saturn in Scorpio: This aspect is great for sitting yourself down at the easel, before the scary blank page, at the design table, wherever, whatever you are creatively inspired to create, and overcome procrastination, and just begin. Don’t let the fear, the pressure, the old tapes interfere with starting again, seeing with fresh eyes. This same advice might apply to questions surrounding love, as Venus rules art, heart, love.
