Aquifer
“Liquid Landscape” photograph by K’lea Andreas
This week we will greet a new SolLunar cycle on Tuesday, what is commonly called the New Moon. It’s important to realize it is also a New Sun, always symbolic of a fresh start, new beginnings. Attuning to the SolLunar cycles and themes (approx 28 days) will naturally put you more in touch with living in the grace of the unfolding moment, allowing your life to flow more smoothly. Check out my dear friend and sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza’s website at http://www.lunarplanner.com/ for more in depth, detailed expert information on each cycle.
In addition, holy shmoly, it’s a big week with the South Lunar Node making a rare conjunction with Uranus, the same day as the New Moon. And Wednesday, Mercury takes us on the first of three retrograde journeys for 2015.

Aquifers are one of Earth’s great gifts and more mysterious underground landscapes. Symbolically, they represent a place where our emotions ~ the element of Water ~ guides our grounding ~ the element of Earth ~ creating fertile abundant lives and livelihoods. Ideally, we want our personal aquifers to hold clear, clean feelings, not be poisoned by old toxic emotions. This SolLunar is a good time to allow the natural process of releasing/cleansing negative emotions, making way for the aquamarine clarity of your truer, loving Self to bubble and burble forth, bringing more joy and radiance to a world in great need.
Please note: I use the true sidereal astronomical alignments in my predictions. You can read about this kind of astrology at this link: https://www.earthwordskyword.com/astrology-readings/astological-readings/

In the overnight hours, Venus and Jupiter make an exact opposition to one another. This 180 degree geometry can provide a clearer perspective surrounding love or financial issues, and can create increased magnetism and attraction or catalyze polarizing opinions. Also today, Mars and Neptune align in futuristic innovative Aquarius and we begin a new two year cycle which supports expansive creative surges sure to benefit you and those you care about. An important question to ponder today might be “how does my personal creative drives benefit the greater good”? This aspect is also about gravitating to our tribe of like-minded souls. As we put our hearts together to take new actions that nudge society in the direction we want it to go, we will see gradual improvement. As this last day of the previous SolLunar cycle, it’s always a good time to reflect about the previous four weeks, noting what occurred, what was set free, what began to grab your attention for the coming year of 2015.

Today has two exceptional aspects, both prompting brand new beginnings. In a rare aspect, the South Lunar Node crosses over Uranus. The South Node carries all of your old soul memory, and Uranus is associated with sudden departures and extraordinary breakthroughs. You are being encouraged by the Universe to liberate yourself from old habits, free yourself of outworn relationships to Self and others, and to experiment in some dimension of your life that longs for more excitement and aliveness. These are experimental times for all of us. Time to be a kid again and try something new. Uranus rules accidents, another possibility today, although sometimes accidents are necessary to help you bust up the old energy in order to finally break open, break free.
Equally wonderful, we have a sunrise New Sun and Moon, taking place in early sidereal Capricorn. In a lovely synchronicity, both Sun and Moon form a stimulating, creative sextile to disciplined, form-giving Saturn. Both Capricorn and Saturn function as astrological energies that are very focused, disciplined, hard-working and serious about accomplishing goals, so that will be one of the themes in our planetary Field influencing us for the coming four weeks. Capricorn also rules all kinds of institutions, businesses, and also recognizes that our body is the sacred temple which houses our divine Light. Yoga and Pilates are great Capricorn practices, so sign up for a series of classes today!

Messenger Mercury steps into it’s approximately three week retrograde cycle till February 11. This cycle is a natural time to take a bit of a pause in the relentless forward momentum the world sometimes demands of us. This doesn’t mean you won’t be extremely focused, given the nature of this SolLunar cycle (read yesterday’s post). But this will be a good time to build rest and reflection into your daily schedule (just ten minutes of meditation or stretching can do wonders to relieve daily tension) or to do research surrounding an important decision you might be making this year. Also this morning, the Capricorn Moon conjuncts retrograde Mercury and aligns with Venus. This aspect supports the ability to be more analytical about your emotions, which can be both good and bad, right? New questions/issues might emerge today that you will be working through in the coming three weeks. It’s a great time to just ask lots of questions, explore new options, so that the right answer will eventually emerge when Mercury turns direct again.

Today marks the exact sextile between our exuberant Sun and focusing Saturn, which can manifest as a day of naturally accomplishing lots without stress or strain. The friendly, socially aware Aquarius Moon forms a series of important aspects today. In the morning hours, the Moon squares possessive Saturn in Scorpio, perhaps creating a bit of emotional tension in some relationship, even with a so-called stranger. Pay attention and don’t just blow it off. Examine the underlying issue, like it’s a red flag warning. As the day progresses the objective Aquarius Moon aligns with forgiving Neptune, and you might just apologize or have someone apologize to you for an earlier misstep. In the evening hours, Moon and Mars conjunct, igniting passionate conversations or revisiting some conflict in need of deeper discussion. Lastly today, Venus transits out of reserved work-oriented Capricorn and enters friendship, community minded Aquarius for the coming weeks. If you’ve felt an imbalance between spending too much time with work issues or colleagues, it’s time to catch up with your friends once again. Ask for a healing dream tonight if you feel in need of guidance.

With the Moon/Chiron conjunction happening in the wee hours of this morning, you might have an unexplainable mysterious experience over night, like sleepwalking, or wake up with one of those truly transformational healing dreams that shifts your entire way of seeing things. A longer range aspect completes today as spiritually-aware, artistic Neptune forms a stimulating sextile to care-giving Ceres. Ceres is currently transiting Sagittarius, as sign which calls for new visions and alliances in regards to how we are treating (or mistreating) children, woman, animals, our food sources and the overall health of our beloved Earth.
Sat Jan 24
The Crescent Moon is always a lovely sight so hopefully you can get out and view it at dusk tonight. The compassionate, dreamy Pisces Moon forms a creative sextile to the ambitious Sun in Capricorn. With this aspect, your project may take a surprising turn if you attune to your intuitions and imagination. Let the urge to daydream take hold. Listen to the gift of your inner aquifer. The solution to a problem may come to you in a dream.
Sun Jan 25
As the Pisces Moon conjuncts Uranus and forms a positive trine to Jupiter, this may be a relatively calm day, possibly interrupted by an unexpected event that brings calls forth a tearful outburst or a compassionate gesture. Spend time near water today, if possible. How I wish I could be with my Hawaiian friends on a day like today. How blessed you are, you who get to spend time with the Whale, Dolphin and Turtle Clans, wise Guides, and part of our larger family pods.
