I am writing two weeks of Star Signposts due to my upcoming travel plans.
Consider re-reading this longer post I wrote at the conclusion of last year. It holds clues to the completion of this almost complete Uranus square Pluto cycle. Pay extra attention to December 14 when we transit the sixth of seven squares between these two planets, the final one happening on March 16, 2015:

These next two weeks are a bit like finals week in school. Aren’t we all students, eternally, on some level? Much of what you learned in 2014 will now need to be demonstrated in actions you consciously choose to take, at times with a surety of self, at times by facing fears about beginning a new life. Life is meant to work out in your favor, so be courageous and trust and take your next step, that will lead you to your next step, that leads you to your next step…..and on it goes….walking the tightrope of these times.

Here’s a day I’m been contemplating for awhile. Jupiter turns retrograde today until April 8, 2015. Jupiter manifests as optimism, faith and confidence. Whatever expansive new dream or project you have set in motion through your intentions can now begin to take shape. The retrograde period however also marks a time of reorienting your life toward this new goal, which necessarily involves releasing a past self, an old identity, out grown habits. Thankfully, Jupiter’s influence makes all this scary change a bit easier and reminds us life is meant to be an exciting on-going adventure. What will that look like for you? That’s something to contemplate today. With today’s exact Mercury/Sun conjunction (which I wrote about in yesterday’s Signposts), and a Gemini Moon activating the dynamic Uranus/Pluto Square, expect this to be a day handling many details, having precise communications, and hearing tidbits of news that may rock your world.

The fusion of Sun and Ceres occurs today in their annual conjunction. Ceres is now considered to be as important as any of our other planets. It got upgraded when Pluto got downgraded a few years ago. That’s a whole other story. Ceres is the ruler of caring for the women, children and animals in our world, agricultural issues and food delivery systems, and climate change in regards to how Earth is adapting at this time. These issues are all becoming more prominent now, which can only be good news. Where do you want to place your ‘caregiving’ energies? What causes ignite your passion? Maybe you simply want to find a way to spend more time in the care and feeding of your own family. Today’s trine between the nurturing Cancer Moon and dedicated Saturn supports you in making a new level of commitment to that life plan.

The Cancer Moon, in the classic definition of Cancer, is a bit moody today. The first mood is insular, tribal, holding things inside. But the opposition to Mars can move those strong emotions outward, pushing people out of a place of secretiveness and creating a more combative climate in homes and businesses. If you learn from a day like today, in the future you may be able to be more honest and forthright in the moment (not stuffing emotions) so situations don’t have to erupt in fighting.

Today that private Cancer Moon ~ our emotional Self ~ willingly crawls out of it’s comfortable, safe shell as it aligns with joyful Jupiter and makes a lovely trine to the Sun in Scorpio. Communications flow more effortlessly than yesterday. This is a wonderful day to socialize and connect with everyone. Be open and receive and share the many gifts circulating between us all. You might find a new collaborative partner today.

A good mood may bring sparkles to your day. Like the Sun emerging from behind darker clouds, the playful Leo Moon makes a happy trine to visionary Venus in Sagittarius. Both our needs and our wants align in the creative signs of fire. The fire element in astrology is linked in inspiration, flashes of awakening, teaching and coaching. Mercury is spending it’s last day in probing Scorpio which sometimes manifests as a tinge of paranoia or flash of intuitive insight, that should be trusted. Trust that things always work out for the best, because they really do, if you are paying attention.

Mercury entering sidereal Sagittarius makes for a more optimistic mindset than you may have experienced during the previous month.

You might be kind of bored hearing me talk, yet again, about the ongoing revolutionary, evolutionary square of Uranus and Pluto. But today really is important so pay attention. They are making their second to that last square, which is like turning a corner, and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. This marks the sixth of seven planetary squares. This major historical period started in June of 2012 and completes in March 2015. We are nearing the finish line my friends, and this is good news! Take note today of all the huge shifts, profound awakenings, and also traumatic losses you have navigated during this major astrological transit. Focus on what has emerged for you in terms of new creative directions and supportive relationships. You can live a life of abundant joy, aligned in love, sharing your gifts. The additional gift of an annual waxing supportive trine of Sun to optimisitic, abundant Jupiter brings good news and a feeling of faith. And lastly, it is also the Last Quarter Square of this lunar cycle, which means time to begin to look forward to assess where the future might be taking you next. Stay in the present moment of course, but be cognizant of new longings leading the way.

Simply put, place your attention on what you love doing, who you love being with, what is captivating to your heart, and move in those directions more forcefully. Since the productive Virgo Moon makes a square to this alignment, you might feel pressured, or willingly choose to pressure yourself, to put a plan into action.

Because you dove so deeply into letting go in recent weeks, prepare for rays of illumination to enter your life.

The Moon also forms a grace-filled trine to Neptune in Aquarius. This bodes well for all members of a community group engaging in supportive conversations and peacemaking.

Whenever the Mars and Moon dance in a tense aspect, like today, there is usually some need to take a stand, speak your truth, experience a momentary fury within or around you. This time the harmonizing, peace-loving Libra Moon squares Mars, so there can be a greater desire not just to vent in frustration but to seek and find genuine solutions, compromises to problems, on the home or work fronts.

There’s a sky sandwich of the Scorpio Moon nestling between serious Saturn and creative Pallas Athene. This aspect can be very strategic, even devious in nature, taking people down the path of paranoia and conspiracy theory. Deep dark secrets may be exposed or you might be willing to delve deeper into your own motivations or another’s. Be aware this aspect also encourages us to dive deep into our own psychological depths. Read up on Carl Jung’s theories on the ‘unconscious’ and the ‘shadow’. These aspects are all part of our psychological, biological humanness. No escape. Today is a good day to make friends with that part of yourself.

Today is the last day of this lunar cycle, and in this case, also the last day of this past Earthly year. Tomorrow is Winter Solstice in our Northern Hemisphere which marks the beginning of the New Celestial Year. Rest, relax, make it a day to do very little, just appreciate yourself and others. Savor your courage and fortitude for all you accomplished this past year. It was HUGE, right? There are also other interesting dynamics at play today, however, that might also influence what you must pay attention to. The annual Pluto/Venus conjunction is notorious for obsessive reactions in love relationships, including possessiveness. It’s time to practice letting go in love and not seek to control your relationships. The Moon in Scorpio is an astrological ‘ditto’ to the above. The happier sextile of activating Mars to shocking, experimental Uranus will support moving beyond old habits and patterns, discovering more interesting and workable ways of relating. What a way to end this year. I just took a deep breathe as I wrote that line. Take many deep breathes, all the time, the KEY to letting go.
