This week’s very potent New Moon is aligned with Jupiter. Jupiter is the largest planet in our local solar system and is synonymous with higher wisdom, largesse, enthusiasm. This is why I have waxed longer and perhaps more philosophically than usual in the following post. Hopefully I am not too long-winded! This New Moon takes place in tribal Cancer. Our planet faces a turning point about how we can choose to love and protect our own families/tribes with familial love, while not having to dismiss, demolish, destroy other’s families and tribal affiliations. This is the question of our time, of all time actually. We WILL eventually arrive at honoring the ONE FAMILY OF HUMANITY, that is the inevitable promise of the coming Aquarian Age. And this is equally relevant in regards to how we recognize humans are only one species on this planet. One of our most important tasks as humans is to ensure the survival of all the species so as to ensure our own survival. The animals know this. We can be a bit dense at times, but may we too, awaken to this fundamental fact. Sadly, we will continue to witness horrific events that further awaken those still asleep. Jupiter represents the faith to carry on. We must carry on in hopes that one day the tribe we primarily honor is the TRIBE OF OUR UNIFIED HUMANITY. This is my hope and the core of my mission, as it is for so many of us.
Also note: Saturn is now direct as of last Sunday, but Uranus goes retrograde Monday. This constitutes a tidal confluence of major shifts. As that metaphor implies, it can be hard to discern which way the tide is going. What is leaving your life and what is arriving? Stay tuned and attuned. And the waning but still volatile square of Sun to Mars early this week assures us that direct confrontation and honesty are still needed and necessary.

As mental Mercury opposes delving Pluto today, you might be mentally obsessing on some issue, person, old grudge. This aspect is best used for research and deep revealing conversations, including facing some truth within your own psyche. On a kinder, gentler note, the sensual Taurus Moon is in a closing sextile to the Cancer Sun. Both of these astrological signs are deeply caring and nurturing. This aspect represents the best use of our tribal familial love. Moments of tenderness can authentically arise from this configuration. And lastly, most importantly, Uranus turns retrograde till December 21 ~ Winter Solstice 2014. This seems particularly cosmic and relevant to me. We have all launched new dreams of awakening/longing/creativity in our lives, and now during Uranus’s retrograde, we can reorganize our lives to fit that new model. Winter Solstice is always the seed moment for the coming year, in this case, 2015. It is essential today you truly look ahead, dream ahead, imagine the future, and launch those intentions into the world so they will eventually manifest. Don’t be left behind, rather move ahead toward your beckoning joy and longing. Send your prayers out to the Field of Manifestation, and they will come to pass.

You might still be feeling the reverberations of Uranus’s turning late last night. This could increase anxiety, sleeplessness, amped up energy or the opposite, waking up utterly exhausted. You might literally feel fried, like you were hit with a bolt of lightning. And perhaps you were in the night with some insight or illumination. An acupuncture treatment or any kind of energy work, such as Jin Shin Jyutsu (my practice), Shiatsu, Reiki, will help you work with these electrical energies in positive ways. Moon ~ emotions ~ and Juno ~ key partnerships ~ align in sensual, financial, earthy Taurus. This is nice for conjugal visits or talking with your banker. Ha….an odd juxtaposition of possibilities but there you have it.

I have always noticed, and now plan for the weekly reality, that Wednesdays are all about increased, enhanced communications and important connections. Did you know Mercredi, the French word for Wednesday, is the word for Mercury, ruler of communications, networking, conversation, travel? Now you know…. so take note and utilize this natural flow of important information coming into your life on Wednesdays. In light of that, today’s Gemini Moon ~ emotional communication, analyzing emotions ~ is in a lovely trine to the ongoing conjunction of the North Node ~ future destiny ~ Ceres ~ caring for all ~ Vesta ~ extreme focus ~ and Mars ~time to take action. People are organizing via the internet, social alliances, and conferences to further take a much needed activist stance on behalf of important political causes.

A glorious day awaits you. Have no doubt. Okay, I admit I lean toward optimism in my general world view. But even the most cynical, overly stern will feel yearnings of faith and hope today. That’s because the annual joyful Sun/Jupiter conjunction lights up our heavens today. You may wake up with an inexplicable feeling of joy, confidence, playfulness, unexplainable positivity. Also, cravings or addictions may become more exaggerated, or you may spend more money than you think you should on something that will expand your horizons. Jupiter creates the ‘spend now, pay later’ mentality, but really is about generous giving and taking a leap of faith. Just ride Jupiter’s edge of necessary expansion or going too far, with discernment today. In addition, we have an equally delightful conjunction of Venus ~ what you desire ~ Moon ~ what you need ~ and Mercury ~your ability to give words to those wants and needs ~ all aligning in conversant Gemini. As Mercury also squares off with eccentric, inventive Uranus, you may find yourself making off the wall comments that end up being quite relevant, bordering on genius. A glorious day awaits you. Have no doubt.

This is the final day of the past four week Lunar cycle. Tomorrow is New Moon. On this last day of what is called the Balsamic Moon (as in aged) find a way to make time for rest, release, play, non-doing, simply BEING. We are dying to the old, anticipating the new. Isn’t it amazing we can die and be reborn on a monthly basis? Work with these Moon cycles consciously and you will witness miraculous shifts in your life. It’s about living in/within the natural flow of Life. No more fighting, no more resistance. Just a natural flowering. All is well. All will unfold naturally if we will allow it. The gift of this particular dying Moon is that it is aligned with Jupiter, planetary ruler of faith, hope, optimism, exuberance, expansion, exaggeration, joy. This is interesting too: because the last moment of the old Moon aligns exactly with Jupiter, you may make an instantaneous shift/decision, finally getting off the fence of indecision. This is about choosing your joy, what makes you happy, which is the whole meaning of Life. This moment may happen today or tomorrow depending on your individual choice.

Today’s New Moon dynamic is extremely interesting to me as an Earth listener and sidereal astrologer. Here’s why. It is taking place aligned with Jupiter. It harkens back to the New Moon on January 1, 2014 that aligned exactly with transformational, death/birth Pluto, symbolizing the entire year of 2014 would hold tremendous challenge and growth for planet Earth. I would like to hope (Jupiter’s word) that perhaps, just maybe, possibly, hopefully we will move forward to a better reality for all. And that the dying tyrannical powers of the past will soon be taking their last breathes in the face of the rising tide of a more compassionate, awakened humanity. Such is the hope and possibility of today’s New Moon. We can impact the collective field with our individual conscious choices. Please, please, send out your prayers for global harmony as they will be exceptionally potent today.

The newly hatched Cancer Moon greets you this morning. You might want to stay in bed longer, or concoct an extra special brunch for your family, as Cancer is about family and loves to nurture through food, especially comfort food. Lavish the love via carbs and sugar! And make sure you do that guilt free. On a more intense note, we have the annual Venus/Pluto opposition. This can literally lead some to stalking someone, or wanting to get to the bottom of what’s really happening in a love relationship. This aspect is delving, possessive, obsessive, wonderfully passionate.
