“Spring blooms” by Lyn Dalebout
Part of writing a blog is that, at times, it seems acceptable for the writer to get personal. So here goes. My dear Dad passed literally a New Moon ago. We thought it was an auspicious sign that somehow he wanted to leave his physical life, not on the day of a dying lunar cycle, but in the bloom of the brand new one, March 31. Way to go Dad. I still feel quite uninspired, just resting, going through the natural waves of grief, and wishing I had more enthusiasm to write. I will keep these posts to a minimum, and will return to my more in depth focus next week. I thank you for your kind understanding at this life shifting moment for me.
That being said, here’s my brief commentary on the New Moon Solar Eclipse happening tonight at 11:13 pm MST. We may not see the eclipse with our physical eyes, but we are feeling it in our bones, throughout our emotional and mental fields, and in events all around us. I’d like to share the take of beloved sidereal colleague and friend, Nick Anthony Fiorenza (http://www.lunarplanner.com/) on this eclipse: “This eclipse impels a fresh start in the outward expressions of our lives and roles in the world. It motivates us to redefine existing qualities and talents and to express them in new ways. It is especially favorable for self initiated action in relationships and communication, but may also contribute to social unrest in world relations, impelling right action to create radical change to break away from the conformity of the past in our relations and in how we interrelate, with concern for the long-term ramifications regarding how we use our personal power in the world.”
He also address the specific sidereal stars in sidereal Aries associated with this particular eclipse. “They often motivate headstrong self-initiated action for attainment, sometimes of a righteous forceful nature, but also inviting us to recognize each of us are responsible for the collective consciousness we find ourselves in—the reality of our personal lives and that of our world we uphold by consensus. Some people will continue to blame our techno-bureaucratic monster on every thing and every one outside of self, a victim mentality perpetuating our human condition and the entrapments we find ourselves in, while others will use this opportunity to responsibly create a new world paradigm.” Thank you Nick.
I highly recommend reading this book before the Mercury/Saturn opposition on May 2: “E-squared: Nine do-it-Yourself Experiments that Prove your Thoughts Create your Reality by Pam Grout. It is a survival manual, but more importantly, a thriving manual for these times.
Lastly, and once again, I want to give a shout out to my friend and fellow cosmic attune-r, DeeElle Bupp of Dragonlady Teas. Each month, she designs a specific tea designed to support us during a particular lunar cycle. The tea for this month is called LEAP, thus the name of my Star Signposts. Here is an excerpt describing what the Plant Kingdom supports in us now:
Mon Apr 28
Today we are in awash in the old about to meet the new. The New Moon Solar Eclipse takes place at 11:13 pm MST, which means much of today may carry a level of exhaustion, confusion, longing for some new clue not yet appearing, so the advice is patience. Tomorrow in the daylight hours we enter the next dynamic lunar cycle.
Tue Apr 29
We launch today with a brand New Moon in fiery, independent, awakening Aries. Also this, the monthly conjunction of Moon ~ emotions ~ to Mercury ~ thoughts ~ can create a melding merger of those two force fields in a refined conversation within yourself. Or this same dynamic can create a virtual explosion of expression and conversation. Since these planets oppose realistic Saturn, those conversations may carry a more serious tone or center around making a key decision.
Wed Apr 30
A fleeting sextile of the practical security oriented Taurus Moon to the unconditionally loving Venus in Pisces inspires feels like a soft resting place, briefly, in these turbulent times.
Thu May 1
Retrograde Mars in Virgo (internalized, cleansing, facing conflict) is in a quincunx to the Sun in sidereal Aries. Sounds like a fabulous time to initiate a new round of subtle adjustments which supports your greater health. Existing conflicts may make a subtle shift toward peace. Solutions are at hand with diligence and focus.
Fri May 2
Today we all face the somewhat challenging Mercury opposing Saturn. Did you order this book yet? Excellent fun reading: “E squared: Nine do-it-Yourself Experiments that Prove Your Thoughts Create your Reality” by Pam Grout. It is a survival manual, but more importantly a thriving manual for these times. Time to harness the power of your mind so it does not bind you in depression or existential alienation.
Sat May 3
Energy abounds today as passionate driven Pluto makes a flowing easy trine to the Sun. This is great for athletic endeavors, pushing yourself further, feeling your innate vitality and making choices that support your body’s great capacity to always create health. Late tonight the visually inspiring Moon/Jupiter conjunction occurs, and of late, these two bright lights are aligning in communicative, at times manic, Gemini. This aspect might keep you up late or wake you up over night. Keep your journal close to write through the mind storm that is coming.
Sun May 4
Mercury ~ our mind state ~ enters sidereal Taurus. This means in the coming weeks we are more concerned about balancing the checkbook, making wise financial, conservative choices, and dealing with debt. Thankfully a building sextile of Sun and Jupiter, exact tomorrow, keeps us in a more positive mindset about how we are creating our world each day, with each choice. Read that book I keep mentioning, or others, to cultivate a positive grateful mindset.
