Expect cathartic shifts and sudden turns of fortune this week as our illuminating Sun makes a tense creative square to the ongoing revolutionary~evolutionary Uranus in sidereal Pisces square to Pluto in Sagittarius. And we have a New Moon coming on Friday!
Tues Oct 1
The BIG celestial event is the Sun squaring off with Pluto. Power struggles, intense inner shifts and cleansing, strange states of consciousness descending upon you~these are just a few of the possibilities that might occur within and around you as this always intense aspect takes hold of the heavens today. There is another helpful sky geometry however that might support positive shifts in evolutionary directions:Mercury in Libra~peacemaking, diplomatic, graciousness~trines Neptune in Aquarius~expanding compassion in our global and local communities. There is the slightest chance today that our Senate and House of Representatives will quickly reverse last night’s shutdown of our government. However today’s Leo Moon might manifest as larger than life egos trying to grab the stage and grand-standing. Yet, Leo Moon is also about playfulness and joy so take some moments today to balance Pluto’s obsessiveness with something that is pure fun for you. MOVE and MOVE WITH the ferociousness of the energy today and skip like you did as a kid!

You may experience electrical surges, kundalini awakenings, accidents, or out of the blue insights over the next two days as the Sun opposes Uranus. Tomorrow this aspect is exact, but it is still very much at work in our world today. Uranus’s mottos are ‘breakdown, breakout and breakthrough’, or ‘expect the unexpected’. In other words don’t be surprised if some unexpected surprise lands at your door. You might discover it is what you have actually been asking for, for a very long time, or you may suddenly realize how you have been unconsciously creating this challenge for a very long time. That’s why Sun opposite Uranus might be a positive turn of fortune, OR, a temporary downward spiral. Something is trying to get your attention! Pay attention. And as the Sun is in Virgo, health or releasing unhealthy habits is very important right now. (This is also the theme of the coming New Moon on Friday.) With today’s lunar alignment of our Moon conjunct Ceres in Leo~nurturing your creative joy, inspired cooking~and Vesta in Leo~conscious focus and intention~positive changes are in the works for those of you willing to make a leap toward what makes your heart sing. To serve others out of our own joy and natural talents~such is the Field of the coming Aquarian age.

Please reread yesterday as this morning is the EXACT SUN OPPOSITE URANUS. Didn’t sleep well last night? Having strange leg cramps or chills or electrical shocks? It’s as if we are all being struck by some form of lightning. In reality, at this juncture in our earthly evolution, we are all being upgraded to what is called our LightBody. You can make it easier and more pleasant by supporting this upgrade with activities like yoga, qi gong, meditation, wild dancing. Or just lie down on our kind and loving Earth and ask to be grounded in your LightBody in a gentle way. (More on this in my upcoming longer post almost done!) And as today is the last day of the dying Lunar cycle, it is always a good day to rest, reflect, do as little as possible and simply BE as much as possible.

Each New Moon cycle is a new beginning for all of us individually and for our entire creation, collectively. Time to feel the Universe push your refresh button. Take it easy today and tomorrow as this new sky seed is implanting itself within the cells of you body and psyche. Journal with your Self, stroll or swim in your special spot and LISTEN. This particular New Moon is aligning with the star of Algorab~ruler of the oracular nature of how the Cosmos and Earth is always speaking to us, if we will listen. Algorab is the star the governs this EarthSky Oracle blog. This is a blessed and holy day, full of profound insight, if you will slow down, and LISTEN.

Please reread yesterday’s post if you want to take full advantage of this cosmic portal bathing our Earth. Take time for retreat and reflection for some part of today. You are gestating something BIG, and only you know what that is. This New Moon cycle is being launched in sidereal Virgo which rules health, healthy routines, and so also governs illness and cleansing. Purification is the theme of the month. If you will choose to cleanse your body, mind, soul, belongings sometime in the coming month, you will feel lighter, stronger, freer and more centered a mere 4 weeks from now! Also today, Mercury~our planetary ruler of communication, technology, new ideas~is in diplomatic relational Libra and aligns with the North Node~your future awaits. This aspect bodes well for finding workable solutions for standoffs, and for finding supportive partners or mentors to guide and assist you. Or perhaps you finally step courageously into being a mentor for someone. We all have so much to share and the world is in great need.

We end this week with the Moon in Libra~the need for emotional harmony and peace~aligning with three planetary energies. Great day for a luxurious brunch with some beloved making new plans as the Moon aligns with the North Node~new beginnings in relationships. Then later afternoon as Moon aligns with communicative Mercury, life gets even more conversational with great ideas being shared. Then the mood can turn serious in the evening with the monthly Moon/Saturn alignment. Use this aspect not to criticize yourself or another but for a shared desire for genuine improvement. Wishing you a deep and restful sleep at the end of this most intense week.
