Overview
The planetary aspects happening at the seed moment of each New SolLunar Cycle help identify some of the overall themes for the upcoming four weeks. The birth point of this New Moon in sidereal Pisces packs a punch with its complex geometries and influences. Both Sun and Moon meet up with nebulous, magical Neptune in Pisces, helping us see through illusions or smokescreens and also to access the creative power of the imagination. The positive sextile to cathartic Pluto encourages rapid change to keep evolving and not go ‘retro’. An opposition to environmental, food-producing, health-care oriented Ceres in Virgo signify challenging events or growth opportunities may occur regarding those arenas. And the square to activist Mars makes for confrontations, mediation, given the sometimes polarizing nature of Gemini, and bold actions linked to standing one’s ground and speaking one’s truth.
Also during this Cycle we are swirled between the cleansing waters of past completions and fiery ignitions of a beckoning future, all linked to a major transit regarding Jupiter. This planet of optimism and expansiveness is getting ready to complete a year-long transit through watery, empathic, dreaming Pisces and makes its entrance into sidereal Aries on April 25. Aries is a fire sign, is pioneering, initiatory, likes to take immediate action which can make Aries accident-prone. With this key transit, we are now cosmically shifted out of the past three years of collective breakdowns which led to the redefinition of everything, to a felt-sense of being reborn again, forward-looking, rising up with renewed energy, vision. This also manifests as a desire to be the boss of your life, whatever that means for you, in charge of who, where and what you choose to give your time and energy to.
Thank you again, Jana Craighead Smith, for allowing me to use your unique and other-worldly portraits of water for this post, the perfect visual imagery for so many watery events unfolding in the heavens.
Sidereal Astrology Mentoring and Readings
My posts are based on the true astronomical alignments of the planets with the constellations, also referred to as the sidereal zodiac. I use the phases of the Moon as the scaffold for my posts because the Moon functions like an energetic portal mediating between the heavens and our wondrous Earth. My entries are based on the aspects occurring each week as they crescendo, crest and dissipate over the course of their influence. As you work with and within the natural flow of time and the supportive cosmic energies that each unique SolLunar Cycle brings, life can flow with more ease, grace and understanding.
I delight in mentoring students—individually, with families or groups, and via workshops and conferences—who want to learn more about how to use sidereal astrology as a helpful tool for insight and awakening. Consider booking a mini-reading with me for $44 or $88, the numbers of living your Mastery on Earth. In these short readings, I discuss key personal transits that are happening for you in 2022 and beyond. Send me an email if you are interested in those options, or a full Natal Map, Update, Relationship Map, Young Adult or Child’s Map. Thank you!
