Overview
Happy New Year ~ and welcome to the New SolLunar Cycle in sidereal Sagittarius happening as Chiron, the magical healer, turns direct! Each new Cycle expands on the events of the previous Cycles so I refresh your memory that at the last New Moon on November 23, Jupiter was turning direct, bringing expansive energy and opportunity. I hope you experienced some of that along with the joy, good cheer and prosperity Jupiter often brings. Jupiter spirals us to the next level so deaths and completions can occur as well. This time the New Moon in Sagittarius, a sign linked to adventure, education and exploration, is in a tense, decisive square to Jupiter which brings pressure to make important decisions or be pushed out of our comfort zone as we step into new opportunities presenting themselves. Additionally the square to Ceres in Virgo urges us to pay attention to our health, how we wish to serve in the world, and to be more discerning in the choices we make on all levels about what is truly nurturing to us now. And don’t be surprised if you are surprised to discover your preferences have changed! All good.
Chiron turning direct at the exact moment of this New Moon brings powerful healing, deep sharing even forgiveness to all HolyDay gatherings. It can also mark a time when you feel complete with therapeutic processes and helpful guides you utilized to help you navigate the challenges of 2022, ready to move forward, a comforting awareness as we enter 2023 ~ a year of new beginnings.
Other key events taking place in the next four weeks are Mercury turns retrograde on December 29 2022 – January 18 2023 and Mars turns direct January 12 2023 from its retrograde of October 30 2022. The Gemini/Sagittarius Full Moon of January 6 2023 takes place as Sun and Mercury conjunct exactly, amplifying the mind’s power, speed and intuition. You may come to know things by an odd coincidence or a flash of insight. Welcome 2023!

Sidereal Astrology Mentoring and Readings
My posts are based on the true astronomical alignments of the planets with the constellations, also referred to as the sidereal zodiac. I use the phases of the Moon as the scaffold for my posts because the Moon functions like an energetic portal mediating between the heavens and our wondrous Earth. My entries are based on the aspects occurring each week as they crescendo, crest and dissipate over the course of their influence. As you work with and within the natural flow of time and the supportive cosmic energies that each unique SolLunar Cycle brings, life can flow with more ease, grace and understanding.
I delight in mentoring students—individually, with families or groups, and via workshops and conferences—who want to learn more about how to use sidereal astrology as a helpful tool for insight and awakening. Consider booking a mini-reading with me for $44 or $88, the numbers of living your Mastery on Earth. In these short readings, I discuss key personal transits that are happening for you in 2022 and beyond. Send me an email if you are interested in those options, or a full Natal Map, Update, Relationship Map, Young Adult or Child’s Map. Thank you!
