“Moon Glow” photograph by Lyn Dalebout
This is a shorter introduction than usual as I am just about finished with a big move. The moving process is a zone of chaotic limbo as you fully dismantle one life, not yet grounded in your new foundation, while simultaneously needing to function as if all were normal. I’m doing pretty well this time except for occasionally putting a dress on backwards, wearing a hat inside out, and trying to put a shirt on upside down. I nearly ran out of gas, which I haven’t done since my college days. These are all humorous signs I am mentally preoccupied and physically discombobulated more than I think I am. But moving is nearly done!
I bring good news! Jupiter has astronomically entered the constellation of Aquarius on April 10. This happens once every twelve years. Go see for yourself as you can view bright Jupiter in the early dawn hours. Aquarius is a forward-leaning sign, beckoning us to become more accepting, kind and collaborative humans, working for the common good. I am writing a longer post about this expansive and exciting shift that I will post soon.
Our New Moon starts out in intuitive, listening sidereal Pisces but within a few days, we will quickly shift to the fiery energy of Aries, a torch lighting your way. The Sun/Mercury conjunction of April 18 brings mental brilliance. Venus and Mercury make conjunctions with revolutionary Uranus on April 22-23, sparking the need for change and experimentation (moving days for me!). Pluto enters its powerful cleansing retrograde period from April 27 – October 6. This is followed by the shocking annual Sun/Uranus meet-up on April 30. The Last Quarter Moon is particularly notable with strong Saturn energy that brings serious decisions or consequences on May 3.
May your spring movement and momentum bring you joy and new possibilities.
Readings and Sidereal Mentoring
My posts are based on the true astronomical alignments of the planets with the constellations, also referred to as the sidereal zodiac. As you work with and within the natural flow of time and the supportive cosmic energies that each unique SolLunar Cycle brings, life flows with more ease, grace and understanding.
Thanks for considering sidereal mini-readings with me for $44 or $88, the numbers of living your Mastery on Earth. In these short readings, I discuss key personal transits that are happening for you in 2021 and beyond. I also delight in mentoring students individually or in families, groups, and workshops who want to learn more about how to use sidereal astrology as a helpful tool for insight and awakening. Send me an email if you are interested in those options, or a full Natal Map, Update or Relationship Map. Thank you!

At the New Moon, you are sprouting like a seed with new creative inspiration. Receive your unique insights by sitting in mediation or just be open to new possibilities arising within you from the sea of infinite creation.
Sun April 11
New SolLunar Cycle in sidereal Pisces: Sun/Moon/Ceres conjunction in Pisces: Our New Moon starts out in intuitive sidereal Pisces but within a few day, we will quickly shift to the fiery energy of Aries, a torch lighting your way. Use these first four days of this SolLunar Cycle for attuning and listening to your inner drives and desires so when you feel that Aries call to action, you are headed in the right direction and not distracted by detours or unclear intentions. As Ceres is seeding this cycle, it can mean issues linked to housing, the environment, sacred lands, water concerns, caregiving responsibilities and spiritual activism will be part of this coming four-week period. Discover current ways to balance the nurturing of others with the important task of self-nurturing, initiating activities that nourish your body, heart, mind, and spirit.
Venus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn: Tensions or decision-making arise around money or love. Venus in Aries is spontaneous and courageous but can also be impulsive and ungrounded. Claim and express your power when Pluto comes calling, in your relationships or in your creative work. You may be unusually forceful in how you express yourself today.
Mon April 12
Moon/Venus conjunction in Aries: Bring some spontaneity to your Monday as you pay keen attention to what is happening in the moment as plans may need to shift. Attune to where your needs and wants are leading you, possibly in bold, unforeseen directions. Be a pioneer in ways that are adventurous to you, striking out in new territory of the heart, of creative desires, or simply speaking your truth to another without self-editing or toning down your voice.
Tue April 13
Mars in Taurus opposite Juno in Scorpio: Mars is action-oriented, passionate about pursuing a cause or sexual desires. Mars can be super-direct and honest, or edgy and angry. The opposition to partnership Juno is good for creating new alliances or breaking people apart if it is time to do so. Financial issues or concerns may need to be addressed or resolved.
Moon/Uranus conjunction in Aries: This volatile aspect requires we stay in the present moment to avoid accidents or missteps. It can lead to a sudden shift in plans or events, eruptions or brilliant insights into one’s or another’s motivations.
Wed April 14
Sun enters sidereal Aries: The life-giving Sun leaves the meditative waters of Pisces and leaps into take-action Aries for the upcoming four weeks — celebrate and harness the energy of spring bursting forth within you and around you.
Mercury/Ceres conjunction in Pisces: This intuitive pairing leads to a flurry of communications surrounding caregiving responsibilities, real estate decisions, environmental concerns. It highlights strong leadership arising from the caring and fierce feminine principle, arising in all kinds of people.

Mars enters sidereal Gemini: This shift lasts for a few weeks and encourages road trips, all kinds of travel, increased reading or posting on social media, buying new technological devices. It also aggravates a sense of being indecisive, torn between two options, or this transit can amplify mental health imbalances.
Fri April 16
Sun in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn: This is a driven, obsessive dynamic — you will let nothing get in your way. This intensity can admirable or manifest as a needless stubbornness arising from your ego’s pride, acting against your own self-interests.
Mars in Gemini trine Jupiter in Aquarius: This highly social, inquisitive trine brings people together in unusual ways, leading to plenty of interesting conversations and outings.
Sat April 17

Wed April 21
Grand Trine in Water: Moon in Cancer/Juno in Scorpio/Ceres in Pisces: The element of water symbolizes emotional energy. With this trine, there can be ease in communicating your feelings. Relationships associated with caregiving and nurturing — Ceres — as well as all kinds of partnerships — Juno — are especially affected. Alliances protecting our sacred waters flourish and are supported at a new level.
Thu April 22

Fri April 23
Mercury/Uranus conjunction in Aries: Similar advice applies today as yesterday: This spontaneous and combustive aspect involves breakdowns or breakthroughs. Time to try something new, take a different path. However today, it is Mercury that provides the wake-up call. Mercury rules the mind, the nervous system, all forms of communication, commerce, mechanical and technological devices. These areas may experience some shakeups or openings, desired or undesired.
Moon in Leo opposite Pallas Athene in Aquarius: This is good for creative design, or organizing activities for children. Collaborate with your team members as you share differing viewpoints and seek common ground for success for all.
Sat April 24 – Sun April 25
Venus/Mercury in Aries square Saturn in Capricorn: Saturn pressures us to make commitments, get serious about our goals, stick to a plan, and enjoy a sense of being organized and disciplined. This square to creative Venus and analytical Mercury makes for a day of focus and determination to succeed as you problem-solve or re-imagine possibilities.
Ceres enters sidereal Aries: The dwarf planet of Ceres, known to guide our natural caring and nurturing natures, is leaving grieving, intuitive Pisces and entering take-action, pioneering Aries. This will lead to all kinds of dynamic projects and relationships in the coming months based on a shared desire to look after one another and be more inclusive in our alliances.
Grand Trine in Earth: Moon in Virgo/Saturn in Capricorn/North Lunar Node: This wonderfully productive energy ensures physical activities will be accomplished with a sense of ease, flow and success. You will have great endurance if you embark on an epic adventure.

The Aries Sun seeks some kind of adventure and the Libra Moon appreciates a romantic dinner or beautiful gift. For some, there can be a push-pull between your personal needs and the needs of your relationships.
Tue April 27
Pluto in Capricorn turns retrograde: My beloved friend and sidereal mentor, Nick Anthony Fiorenza, no longer on Earth, referred to the study of astrology as an astrological symphony with all the planetary forces in a constant musical play of sound, light and energy, swirling in harmony and disharmony. I agree with his comparison whole-heartedly.
For me, Pluto is like the timpani, sounding deep bass drumming notes that are in the background, sometimes the foreground, reminding us that something deeper and more mysterious is at work in the song-lines of our lives. As Pluto enters its annual retrograde until October 6, biological and evolutionary forces that are working on us continue to cleanse the past, and help us to release all that does not bring greater health to our lives and our beloved Earth. Thankfully, Pluto’s power of regeneration, following death, is like no other. May you sense that resonant depth and gift at work in your life.
Moon in Libra opposite Venus/Mercury in Aries: The peace-keeping Libra Moon is churned up by the directness and forth-rightness of Venus (heart) and Mercury (mind) in Aries. Be honest and all will go well in your communications with others.
Wed April 28
Moon in Scorpio square Jupiter in Aquarius: The qualities of the delving, driven Scorpio Moon are greatly amplified by this tense square to Jupiter. Scorpio seeks connection while Aquarius often prefers keeping a distance. In group interactions, financial issues might be up for discussion.
Thu April 29
Ceres in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn: This longer-range aspect can solidify alliances involving shared goals. Power-struggles can arise regarding roles and responsibilities between family members or with caregivers. Releases and even death may come for some who are ready to move on.
Moon/South Lunar Node conjunction in Scorpio: This, too, brings deep releases, even death, regarding aspects of our past and historical roots. It is cleansing and healing as it helps us detach from the old and outworn and make space for the new.
Moon/Juno conjunction in Scorpio: As Juno governs our core partners, today’s monthly pairing with the emotive Moon encourages deep conversations and intimate exchanges with others.
Fri April 30
Sun/Uranus conjunction in Aries: The best advice when Uranus comes knocking is be spontaneous, expect the unexpected and make room for life to surprise you. Sudden inspiration, creative breakthroughs and revelations are possible.

Sun May 2
Moon/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn: Pluto purges what no longer serves our vitality as well as helps us claim our power so we won’t allow ourselves to be controlled by others. The monthly conjunction with the Moon can lead to a cleansing of the body/mind/spirit. Commit to free yourself from an old habit or relationship that is not so good for you anymore,
Venus in Aries sextile Neptune in Aquarius: This highly-creative and inspiring alignment brings optimism to the heart. It reminds us to trust in the knowledge we are capable of creating the realities we desire.
Last Quarter Moon
With the Last Quarter Moon, you release what has been and simultaneously prepare for what will be as new desires perpetually arise in the next SolLunar Cycle.
Mon May 3
Last Quarter Moon: Sun in Aries square Moon/Saturn conjunction in Capricorn: This heavy-handed aspect means major decisions are made, important completions happen, conclusive information appears. Some may need to acknowledge a harsh or painful truth. Test results are in, contracts are signed, time to move forward with your next step. Reach out to others if things feel impossibly heavy or challenging and you will see you are not alone given the tone of this transit.
Mercury in Taurus square Jupiter in Aquarius: Taurus governs the body, self-worth, one’s voice, real estate, money. This aspect brings news surrounding these areas of focus. For some it can be good news, but if you have been overdoing things and not paying attention, you may need to faces the consequences.

Healing Chiron can trigger the release of hidden emotions so honor your feelings, no judgment, no analysis. Swim in your depths and enjoy the gift of being sensitive and vulnerable. We need more of those qualities in our world.
Venus in Taurus square Jupiter in Aquarius: Squares in astrology mean tension can arise within or around you, or, you are ready to make something happen. This stress and/or creativity may involve a beloved, a collaborative art project or a volunteer community project.
Sun May 9
Moon/Ceres conjunction in Aries: Go on an outdoor adventure with those you love, exploring new country, especially you, holy caregivers, who also need replenishment.

A lovely surprise might await you. One caution: accidents are possible so be careful when engaged in tasks.
Blessed New Moon tomorrow~
